I really love this episode, imo it clearly has Taika's fingerprints all over it. To clarify a few things, first, I think with 'species', the armorer means all the Jedi, not only Yoda's 'species' . Second the 'sword' we see with Gideon in the end, it called 'the dark saber' it is an ancient light saber in history of the Mandalorians. I know most people see Star Wars animation as something for kids, but for me the Clone Wars and Rebels are my favourite Star Wars stories, next to Andor now. In both the animated series they give more back story of both the Mandalorian people and the dark saber.
