very ironic that it feels vaguely familiar... sounds like you're a character in this movie!

Every Patreon reactor has their own unique way of watching a movie while on camera. I assume that it's different for them when they sit in a movie theater, either with friends or solo, and that they DON'T react by audibly speculating on why something just happened onscreen or make little wisecracks during a scene. Reacting for the camera is a completely different animal. Sometimes their guesses on what is happening or why a character did something is a little off or maybe even completely wrong but I try not become frustrated because, after all, THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THEY ARE SEEING THIS SCENE AND THIS MOVIE, folks! And even if they get something wrong and aren't able to realize it by the end of the movie, there's a pretty good chance they will figure it out during the edit phase when they re-watch the movie again (that's if they do their own editing and not farm it out as some Patreon channels do). I think it's okay to point out where a reactor may be mistaken about something in the movie but do it in a nice way. I try not to criticize a reactor for how they watch a movie, and by the same token I also try not to point out any amusing idiosyncrasies or habits they may have, because the last thing I want a reactor to do is to become self-conscious to the point where they begin to second guess themselves or try to modify their own behavior while trying to watch a movie. If I don't like the way a person reacts during a first-watch, I keep in mind that no one is forcing me to subscribe to any Patreon channel and I can leave any time I wish.

You did GREAT! Thank you for watching this with us.

This film’s tagline: "The future is in the hands of a man who has none" is clever but a little misleading. Does that mean Cole has no future or no hands? 😊 But an inspired film and a very enjoyable reaction. 👍

Ok, finally finished the film.. again.. I think!? Honestly 🎬✧˖°🎞️⊱𝓒𝓪𝓶𝓲𝓵𝓵𝓪⊰≽^•˕•^≼, best thing you can do when reacting is, what comes naturally by being yourself. Don't try to be whatever other people want you to be for the sake of their patronage. It was one of your usually fun reactions to watch along side with you. That said, nothing wrong with some compromises if and only if it's something you agree with that will benefit your channel, aka exploring new and exciting genres, add new poll ideas, etc. However, from the many reactors I've seen that try to be someone that the masses "want" them to be doesn't bode well. See a lot of creators, unhappy what they are doing and get in a rut. Especially if you just trying to please the algorithm by trying to ride waves and that's all you do, you'll miss out on a lot of really good movie/series experiences. Now, your only problem much like most peeps is we all are our own worst enemy and second guess ourselves when we feel we are being scrutinized and watched. That is like the whole gist of reacting ehehe. So stop second guessing yourself, you show excellent deduction and reasoning capabilities when your not trying to extrapolate or insert information for theories that the narrative hasn't given you enough tangible evidence to draw on those conclusions. This show is a fine example. Your viewing this story from an outside perspective, seeing what's happening to different people at different times or simultaneously. Enough media driven plot points to allow the viewer to elicit a unique perception those in the show don't have access too. Yes, it's a time loop of sorts, definitely some ambiguity due to the fact the science is fiction so a few other things they could say. I feel that their is enough narrative here that a series.. especially an animated one due to being able to do so much with that medium could really flush out the "loose ends" if you want to call them that. Also be easier to show more of the futuristic dystopia that James came from and focus on that aspect they've only hinted at. Somewhat like the Animatrix (2003) did for the Matrix franchise, and since you've not seen any of them start with the first movie and leave the Animatrix (2003) for after you've seen the first one. 🎬✧˖°🎞️⊱𝓒𝓪𝓶𝓲⊰≽^•˕•^≼, Looking forward to whatever is next on the horizon with you at the helm leading us to more exciting things to watch!

OK, I'll try to clear up the confusion. The young boy was in fact James as a kid. It even tells you in the end credits. As a kid, he watched this event at the airport unfold. Obviously traumatizing for him, he keeps dreaming about it. The virus outbreak happens and the surviving humans go underground. Decades later, James get sent back to the past to find out more information about the virus. They were just wrong about the Army of the 12 Monkeys having anything to do about the virus. About the time loop thing: I don't believe in that concept per se. When James get sent back in time, the universe doesn't magically rewind. He disappears from the present and gets "injected" into the past. He just appears out of nowhere in that time. That always happened before the point in the future was even reached. I don't know exactly when that dystopian time is, but José said something about 30 years from 1996, so let's assume 2026. So if you think of the timeline, young James gets born in the late 80s. Adult James appears in 1990 then disappears again shortly after. He reappears in 1996, gets shot at the airport, observed by his younger self. The virus breaks out, humanity goes underground. In 2026, adult James gets sent back in time. Not to change anything, but to gather information for the scientists in 2026 to develop a cure. He couldn't have changed anything, anyway, because the events in the past had already played out. James always had that memory of the shooting at the airport, because it had already happened back in 1996. He just didn't know he was watching himself get shot. When James gets sent back in time, he just disappears from there but time moves on, allowing the scientists to receive his message. There is no loop. Time moves on. The universe doesn't revolve around James' existence. You could argue that if all of this is the case, they could have always received James' message, because he had already made that phone call in 1996, so they didn't even have to bother sending him back in the first place. But then you would end up with a time paradox. They needed to sent James back for the events in the past to play out the way they did. Time travel can always be a bit confusing, because people have different ideas about how it works. The above is my theory of the concept. Time always moves in a line. Events in the past can't be changed by time travelers. They always played out the way they did.
