CIEA archive vol. 3 - DECIMATION (Patreon)

welcome to the weekly installment of CIEA archive. apparently it's weekly. this chapter was released on 28/05/2018.it's the first major action section of CIEA.
gratuitous violence and gore, huh?i wonder if it surprised anyone back then, given the precedent set by the first 2 chapters. i always want to draw violent things. i think it's nice. i get to blow off some steam too. i think.there hasn't been a lot of that in CIEA these days, but i hope to show more of that in the future. at least i get to put it in the other webcomic, lonely witch.here we see our lovely lil' childa innocha is a very, very violent girl. quite the powerful monster too! it's a bit of a proper showcase of what she can really do. kind of.i wouldn't say she's a bad person but i can't just say that when she's killing people...even if they're bad people, right? lol
there's other people in the city too.not just the occupiers, but a bunch of survivors and stragglers. it seems the antagonists are in the process of weeding them out. there's a bunch of people in austral, from regular civilians and the resistance too. it's gotta suck, i guess. makes you wonder how they even get by.
it's also the debut of daniel and cheri.though they only get one panel at the very end of the chapter. their designs have changed a lot too...but i guess that's a given, seeing how long i've been drawing these guys now. most of the changes were made so that they're simpler, easier, and faster to draw. that can be said for almost all the characters in this webcomic.except childa. i think her design got more detailed. what can i say? i just looooove drawing her.
it's an action chapter, so there's not much to talk about here too.i was doing my best to think about panel composition & flow for this chapter. i took a lot of notes from the dragon ball manga you see...lol...did it turn out alright? i tried for chapter 1 too. looking back on it, there can be a lot of clarity issues in the early chapters; i tended to draw a lot of close-ups to speed up the process...which isn't really good for staging.nowadays i think i've got an OK enough grasp on it all now. well, OK enough for me to not whinge about it too much.this chapter also took a month to finish, specifically on 28/06/2018. i keep saying it all the time, but it'd be nice to have that kind of speed and brevity again.
