I was going through all my notes trying to add everything together for a character sheet splash, and I finally KNEW I had gotten to the point where making an excel spreadsheet that could automatically accommodate the shifting stats from Phantom Hand would be faster and far more accurate than doing it manually.With the added benefit of being WAY faster the next time I have to do it.It also forced me to finally pick an official order to write stats:Strength

KinestheticsAcuityFocusMy reasoning is we're going from the purest physical stat, to the purest mental one, with Kinesthetics being the perfect blend of the two.

From now on, If I ever list stats NOT in this order, yell at me. So here's what that sheet looks like. It also highlighted for me that he's not wearing anything on his hands, fingers, or neck, and still has crazy stats.I don't think we need to add anything crazy complex to his ring slot right away, but a simple rogue-boosting item would give him a huge stat boost, which would be a no-brainer. And I could actually just enter it into the stat sheet and it would change everything FOR me!WOOT!Anyway, back to the actual writing part, now that I've made a slipshod tool to calculate rapidly changing stats due to switching out Relics.

Given the many variables and ballooning numbers, it was for the best, lol. Ive read 2 other stat based stories where the author did all the math by hand for way too long and didn't realize until way too deep that they had been doing some of the math wrong for multiple characters and that if a reader good at math actually paid attention it was noticeable and a huge difference. One of them took a break that lasted a very long time to go back and painstakingly fix it all, and the other dropped the story because they lost motivation at the thought of so much work to go back and fix. So yay, now excel does it for you. Harder to mess that up, and if you do, itll at least all be consistent. Also I like your reasoning for the stat order.

Hm but the Tower took that hand which changed things a bit. Not even a God was able to regrow it. Even if the self regenerated replacement works as a hand, is it a true replacement at the metaphysical or soul level? Or did the Tower scar something beyond the visible when it accepted the hand as sacrifice? I could accept Will not gaining back that ring slot with reasoning like that. He is wildly OP enough as-is, lmao.

Excel saves so much brain power. Also added bonus if seeing multiple results without starting over on paper, or a calculator. Good choice!

This statement tells me i should take a refresher course on Excel. i only learned a bit like 20 years ago, but it sounds like you can do some cool shit with it.

You really can do a lot with excel. One of my database teachers told of a story when he worked at oracle he won a bet with the IT team that they could surf the web without the IT team knowing about it. Turns out they built a web browser into excel and it entirely flew under the IT radar

Besides it being funny due to screwing with an Excel Sheet, I find it also funny when I think about it like a dlc: they unlocked a new floor and to get stronger there's lvl cap increase and new gear slots :D

@Sundergoldmane there's 2 problems i can think of off the top of my head. first the company you make with the AI assistant might sneak a clause that allows them to steal your work to train their AI, and secondly AI has a tendency to hallucinate. I would have to follow along behind it and double check that it didn't make any huge errors, which would be about the same amount of work as doing it myself. There are probably more reasons, but those are the first two i think of.

to start, each point is 5% of your natural base amount. points are additive and not multiplicative. Strength is self-explanatory Resistance is resistance to damage, or change. so poisons and getting punched in the face are both resistance Kinesthetics is coordination, reflexes, the ability to make your body move the way you want it to. body intelligence, basically. Acuity is how much sensory information you can take in and process. Focus is kind of a measure of willpower. the ability to stay on task, resist distraction, important because it dictates mental defense and Charge max/regen.

A lot of people seen to want to offer using AI for tasks that are much more easily handled by alternative means. AI, when properly trained, can be a useful tool, but it's not a tool for all jobs. It brings up the old saying, which I'm gonna paraphrase a little. To a man with a hammer, all problems look like a nail. Well AI is a hammer that a lot of people have access to nowadays, maybe you should start checking those 'nails' you'll find that a lot of them are actually screws, and really not suitable for hammering.
