Okay, so Cover #1 is basically finished. We'll see that sometime, maybe later this year, maybe next year? Not sure.Now I need the idea for cover #2.

book 2 covers Floor 4-5 and mostly the shenanigans that happen in akul, (tournament arc) etc.I've got a couple ideas for the cover, so i'm gonna bounce a few of them off you guys and take more in the comments, then we can have a vote.As always, I have veto powers, so even if something is really popular i reserve the right to say no, but I'll only do so if it's frivolous or I can't comprehend why it's popular.If I can't understand what makes a cover popular, I can't pass that along to the artists.Mac's idea #1: Will and Loth watching the stage play of Will's exploits. In the forground a big muscly 'William Oh' is fighting a fake black dragon while Will and Loth eat popcorn in the background.Mac's idea #2: While wearing the dragon mask, Will battles the enemy Climbers at the ball.Mac's idea# 3: Tea party on a grassy hill overlooking Akul during a kaiju attack. Anything that juxtaposes relaxation with a kaiju attack in the background sounds like great visual humor...and I'm spent.Any others? This time frame covers the chapter after they escaped Mark Wyrd the time he lit Loth on fire, all the way to the end of the tournament arc.Everything from Ch.38, to Ch. 83, or thereabouts.I'll probably grab 2-3 of my favorites from the comments and we'll have a vote-off.

#3, but if the artist could somehow visually imply that this all takes place on the back of a far larger serpent, that would be really cool, though I have no idea how they could do that

I think a solid shot of the arena showcasing the lords in thier box could ve cool. Room to make the lords cool to draw in the eye and lets be real so many people love a good tournament arc

Both number 2 and 3 sound great altho I wish number 3 was more of will being tiny facing off a kaiju and just make the proportions as ridicoulus as possible, just because that's how I'd imagine Jason retell it.

I like the idea of a frame showing Will’s party from the back with a kaiju in the background, wether that’s the tea party or just a shot from the fields when they enter the floor with a kaiju and Akul in the distance

I like the visual humor angle of 3, but the motive behind 1 is what I like most. What stood out to me for the story was the framing at the beginning of each chapter with outlandish feats and then the story on what actually happened. Could also do the fight where Will stood still during the tournament and wrecked face, exaggerated of course.

Oh! The last one was inspired by those over exaggerated Connan covers right? Maybe this one can be Will and Anna together like Fabio on the cover of an old bodice-ripper romance?

I like a mix of 1 and 3. Have Will and Lloth watching the Play (maybe even of Will and Lloth fighting a Kaiju) while the rest of the party fights a Kaiju in the Background. Not Lore accurate but I love the the Vibe.

When he's possessed by one of his predecessors and turns the ground all wavy, causing everyone to lose their footing...would make a terrible cover. But it would be some interesting stand alone art. For the cover, it should definitely be something to do with the Brianna cuttings. I think all of them should be worked into the art somehow. Baker baking, thief stealing something (pastries or art). Guardsman yelling at thief. Matron looking over it all with a bittersweet expression. Oh yeah, I guess Will should be there somewhere. Maybe he's also grabbing a couple buns, but completely indiscretely in full view of baker (and presumably with her consent).

Number one is great. Suggestion: shot of the party with the whole gang, including Jean and girls all mingling around will who is dressed in his over the top stupid costume. Maybe mid-criminals breaking in kind of moment

Very similar to number 3, but with Brianna. Iirc the reveal was at the end of this book Center page has Will entering the bakery to see Anna with the old woman version behind her. On one side it has Ria spying on Will. In the background Bri is stealing a painting or something. Below them all underground could be one of the kaiju or something hinting at it (s big dark shadow or something). Then the top/background can have something else plot related happening. Almost like Will stopped by mid fight to pick up some baked goods?

#1 is my favorite, but 3 is a close second. If I were going to maybe offer a suggestion, for 1 maybe show how we got to 1 from Jason's hype man business. So like, play with them in the upper right, then a cut on the lower right showing Jason raving about how cool William is in a tavern.

The second book is also important for Will being politically introduced to the rest of the Tower, so I like the cover showing him at a gathering. But I don't know if the cover should be fighting.....maybe the moment before a fight breaks?

I like the idea of watching as spectators, maybe add a gaggle of lookalike tangled in a cheering booth with a stern coach guiding their actions while you see some semi-arguing folks blurred in the background to represent the Lords.

I really like the first option honestly. Maybe have Bee trying to pick pocket Will during the whole things is the only addition I can think of.

Merge a couple of ideas? A small outdoor stage on a grassy hill in the foreground showing muscly will oh fighting a big black dragon. People watching the stage show laughing etc Then in the background a massive kaiju can be seen tearing through buildings But idk. I do like idea 1, but id put the foreground as Will and Loth with the show in the background.

I really like the mental image of William Oh with his wrist jabbed into the Rotwitch while fighting Frederick Wyrd. Of course, Kiajus are awesome too

Them haggling in the market with a kaiju in the background? Im trying to think about something they actually did that would also leave enough room for a kaiju/city. Maybe even watching the play from macs plan 2, eating popcorn whilst a kaiju runs rampant. I think the kaiju is the important part, not only is it the looming threat of the whole floor, but also people love giant monsters on covers.

Oh yeah, new mask art, awesome idea. That does sort of set a precedent that each book cover will show his new mask tho, and it doesn't really seem like its gonna change that often.

The Arena match with the paladin where they are both on opposite sides, with the paladin charging up and covered in magical shenanigans, while will is just standing there might be good. (POV could be from an arena seat with loth and the others eating food) Alternatively, with the same idea, will tripping the paladin out of said arena

For the watching the play one, i think the foreground should be will and loth in side profile from behind, with the play in the background. Setting the play in the foreground to see the audience in the background would mean we're looking at the actor's backs, no? Would also be hard to depict it being on a stage.
