Perry asked his Grandmother for magical information about who/what/why so that he could respond to the attack with incredible speed and accuracy.

He now owes her a favor, and she is going to collect.Here's what we're not gonna do: We're not going to add a love interest based on Gramma's recommendations, and it's Probably not going to be something silly like a Broken Condom Curse.Even though that would be hilarious.Overt favors designed to make him a dad are probably out.Potential ideas include always referring to her as Grandmother, or reading the entire book on Manitian Rulership.Got an idea? leave it in the comments below, and if you see one you like, heart it.

Seems like she could ask Perry to do something really dangerous without breaking any of those requirements? She wouldn't PUT him in mortal danger, just lead him into placing himself in mortal danger. She wouldn't need to order anyone if the situation was just inherently dangerous in the first place. And making a request of Perry wouldn't be "casual conversation" it would be a deal. Not sure if any of this matters when the soul experiments also have the goal of letting him use magic as far as I'm aware.

He has to attend some sort of ballroom/fancy party with other royalty. Added side effect of granma forcing him to spend time with her as she ‘tutors’ him in preparation for the ball. Add in some people who want to marry him for the connections rather then love or a minor political rival of sorts.

Ok. So we know that she's considered evil, sort of a Maleficent figure. Effectively a fae royalty, which means she takes oaths and debts seriously. And she broke her word to the Mantians in the other city that I can't remember. So she needs Perry to settle that debt. He can't marry or break a heart, I'm guessing that a betrothal is out of the question (although being betrothed to John would be hilarious). She's also been described as a soul sucking witch or similar - maybe she has the souls of some of the Mantians who didn't make it across captured somehow and, now that Perry is experimenting with soultech, she wants him to use those souls to "ressurect" those she broke her oath to do that they might feed on the flesh of the enemies who threatened her grandson.

She needs a sample of unicorn...ya know. So he's got to hook up Dave the unicorn on a date, only the "date" is a tinker engineered remote control sex doll that is piloted and voiced by the Love Angel.

she could pull a "your first born child" but like, only on weekends or something, as the whole point of him getting together with someone she approves of is for him to have strong offspring, so she might want to personally train the new protégée.

She wants 2 main things, the continuance of her noble line and for that noble line to be powerful in the ways of magic, Paradox is making efforts to achieve both of her main desires, ballroom dancing etc would not help with and may distract from her main goals, and she sees Perry as a failure and a lost cause because his father is not a magic user so she would not want to make him more fancy, also she would not like to give the impression that she could not solve her own problems, so I think she would ask for something like custody of future children for a day a week to correct for bad influences

She absolutely just needs help with some basic technological questions. she does come from a non-tech society anyway. she wants him to set up a printer and such for the clinic, fix her smoke alarm etc, but in doing so activates perry’s ability. and we get to see grammas house become some sort of magi tech nightmare.

"Repeatedly attempts to kill him" like as a coming of age trial or seriously trying to kill him? I like making it a game that he has to win, a battle of wits, TO THE DEATH! If he doesn't catch them by the end of the night, it stays an active order against him and is acted upon at every Manitian royal event thereafter until he does. As a Manitian tradition, which Gramma loves and is trying to bring back into vogue.

Visit whatever is left of the royal palace, or some other notable location in the fantasy world, and retrieve something (a McGuffin, grandma's favorite tea leaves, someone she actually regrets leaving behind, or maybe a piece of herself she split off to avoid a magically binding obligation).

Retrieval of the soul repository of the fallen Manitian monarchs. They're bound to the throne, and only a direct descendant can retrieve it. Grandma didn't because she knew that they wouldn't have let her take them (because they all hate her already), so she wants Perry to get it for her. Allows the user to freely retrieve spells, rituals, and experiences from the former monarchs in exchange for a small risk of possession.
