Level fifteen is right around the corner. We're probably talkin'...2 weeks, maybe sometime around halloween?Level fifteen is a HUGE spike in power, and there lies a serious chance that it'll be so huge that it destroys the power curve. To mitigate that, I need Perks! Perry's gonna have like...200+ points to spend, and he's probably gonna wind up taking both perks from at least three different classes. This is your opportunity to suggest some of your own so I can scan through them for ones that will work.KEEP IN MIND: super powerful, game-stopping perks that trivialize everything forever are much less likely to be included than ones that are modestly powerful/hyperfocused or just interesting. To make things easier: Here's a link to the last perk suggestion thread. And here's the perks he was offered at level 10:Available Perks:

Sliding Stats (Variable Cost)*

Spend a number of free points to gain the ability to slide an equal number of stat points between different attributes.

Example: With the 3-point version, User may move 3 points in any stat to any other stat until further notice. Does not affect free points received upon level-up as a result of modified Attunement, but will affect Perks used while Attunement is modified.

The stats may be moved in any combination, to a maximum number indicated by the amount of free points invested in the Sliding Stats Perk.

More points may be invested in Sliding Stats whenever Perks are offered.

Adaptive HP (3HP 1B)

User’s HP will selectively engage based on whether the force can inflict damage on the user’s body comparableto that of a boxer’s punch and above.

I.E. an unpowered boxer’s punch against a Body of 10 will not trigger HP loss, because the comparable damage to the user’s system-enhanced body will be less.

Sheathed Organs (3B)

User’s organs and major arteries grow resistant linings that allow them to resist cutting, shearing and bludgeoning, causing most stab, bludgeoning and slashing wounds to become non-lethal.

Blueprint (3) or (3N)*

User may create a Blueprint charged with their Perks. If another uses the Blueprint to create the object detailed therein, all the User’s applicable perks apply to the creation.

Only one Blueprint may exist per instance of the Blueprint Perk. If a new Blueprint is created above the limit, the oldest Blueprint becomes mundane and loses its properties.

Summon Garments (1,3,5)

(1) Summon mundane clothes onto the User to combat exposure or indecency. 1/day

(3) Summon common Hyperweave for excellent protection from attacks to combat conventional threats. 1/day

(5) Mentally mark a User-created armor: User may summon that armor onto themself 1/day. User may change the subject of the mark 1/day.

Higher tiers may be purchased whenever Perks are offered.

Multi-tool (1,3,5)

(1) At will, summon a tool. The tool may have an internal motor and battery system, and weigh no more than 2 kilograms. This includes everything from a wrench or spade to a handheld angle grinder or cutting tool. Only one tool may be present at any time.

(3) The tool may have an internal reservoir of material or objects that remain after it is used, such as a welding device, nail gun, caulk gun, or glue gun.

(5) The maximum mass of the summoned tool increases to 50 kg.

Higher tiers may be purchased whenever Perks are offered.

Weapons do not count as tools for the purpose of this Perk. However, tools may be used as improvised weapons.

Scent (3)

User may determine an object’s constituent ingredients and gain some insight into its manufacturing method by sniffing it.

Material Specialization (1)

Pick a material affected by your Spendthrift Perk. It is treated as significantly less expensive when altered by the perk, further boosting its effectiveness. This perk may be chosen multiple times, applying to a different material each time.

Underestimated (1,3,5,10,20)

The User’s experience with the unknowable has been assimilated. If the make or material of User’s armor is viewed with disdain, ridicule, or pity by an enemy, that emotional reaction opens the door for an embedded cognitohazard to infect their mind. The cognitohazard inflicts a scaling debuff that impairs the enemy’s ability to damage User’s armor, and by extension, the User inside.

Example: Wearing a trash bag as armor may subtly weaken an enemy’s limbs, causing the power of their strikes or accuracy of their gunfire to be diminished, indirectly boosting the armor’s effectiveness.

Higher tiers inflict more powerful debuffs, which may prove lethal to infirm or unhealthy enemies. Higher tiers may be purchased whenever Perks are offered.

Offered by Claudette’s Hippy Bullshit.

Cross-Class (20)(5A)

For twenty free points, and five points from Attunement, you may choose a Perk from another Tinker specialization.

Space Tinker

Industrial Tinker

Geo-Tinker

Bio-Tinker

Ray Tinker

Submersible Tinker

Sonic Tinker

Dramatic Tinker

Micro-Tinker

…And that's it! If you wanna suggest new basic perks or perks for these cross-classes, please do!  Perks can cost stat point in addition to regular points, depending on how they work, so keep that in mind, like a magic-type perk might spend Attune, a HP modifying perk might cost HP, a computer in the brain might cost Nerve, EtcI was thinking about adding perks that modify how his spell slots work, making them more natively integrated into the system itself. let me know what you think of that, and gimme suggestions for ways to make it happen if you think it sounds good.Alright, gotta get to work on today's chapter, I'll check up on this in an hour or two.

Comments

Daedalus

I'll start off with some cross-class ideas, mainly stolen from my previous ideas

Elton

An easy way to defray costs would be a perk that allows his system to be passed to the kids?

Daedalus

Self Tinker: A Tinker not content with their body as it is. This specialist is particularly adept at upgrading themselves to meet their ideal image. Perks: Integration: Installed technology acts more like the body it's installed in, integrating with the nervous system and other bodily functions for feedback and instructions better than it otherwise would. Superhuman: Effects you apply to yourself are stronger and more effective than they otherwise would be with fewer side effects. This would tie into Perry's spell mods, obviously, but where it could really shine is with integration into his Floating Armament computer and so forth, letting Perry build out his entire lair as an extension of himself.

Deinos

How about something small, like the ability to control molecules.

Darren Deloach

Any perks or other tinker classes that would help with him being a Dad? Other than that definitely the HP one and Multitool

Daedalus

Industrial Tinker would be a huge win for him, now that he's got at least three completely independent areas where he might want to work, namely Chicago, with Will, and Manitia. Being able to set up automated supply lines, and integrate his tech more with other tinker-tech, could be a huge win. Industrial Tinker: A Tinker operating at massive scale. This specialist is particularly adept at mass-production and supporting entire industries. Perks: Automation: Tools you create which act autonomously are more effective, faster, have less margin of error, and receive the full benefits of your perks. Supplier: Your creations do not interfere with the efforts of other Tinkers, allowing them to freely modify your inventions to suit their needs.

Daedalus

Modal Tinker: A Modal Tinker wants to make the most out of everything they have, making everything pull quintuple duty at least. Their guns can shoot fire, ice, lightning, light, and bullets, and their car doubles as power armor. Perks: Multi-Tool: Your creations are more able to transform in shape and function, allowing for more technology to be fit into the same space, and your creations will automatically only utilize installed devices in the correct way if a single component has multiple systems attached to it. Transformation Sequence: Your creations are particularly resilient when changing shape, and never break down regardless of how many parts they must move to transform, even if being attacked. Given Perry's desire for more multi-use spells, this is a big help with that, but also comes with the cool visual of having a single suit fill multiple roles, and lets him take less stuff with him if each thing can do twenty things.

Kote's chronicles

A perk that makes his spell slots integrate with the system, opening new spell slots per lv with the option to purchase more. Making another bridge between his parents magnum opus that is his soul.

Kote's chronicles

This sounds like a good point dump as he would be heavily effecting the fate and impact of his kids. So should need a lot of his points. Right?

Red Viking

Soul grafts: cost 50 - 100 each and are semi unimportant soul bits that'll latch onto Perry containing bits of soul with mild interests and emotions such as a habit to go hedgehog watching, a liking of a tv show that exists in a different reality, or pog collecting. Pieces ripe to be replaced with spells.

Daedalus

Battery Tinker: A Tinker with power to spare, and a place to put it. Perks: Super-Capacitor: Energy storage devices you create are able to store far more energy than normal. Advanced Fuel Cells: You may create devices that store and release on command unusual kinds of energy, such as cold, lasers and other light, magnetism, and more. A bit of a deep cut to Perry's first cover, but still very useful for his spells, specifically making them larger. Plus, with PPP he could make a battery storing life energy, which is useful for just so many reasons.

Kote's chronicles

A perk that let's his tinker abilities work when he isn't there via fully automated factories he made would be more in line now too. Now he has factories all over a part of the world so it's not really feasible for him to have to go back and forth for maintenance and such. Would add the conflict of having to juggle making factories that are needed for survival of the community with out making the community themselfs obsolete. Got to let them do some of the saving and work themselfs to build that community pride and what not.

Daedalus

Honestly he should take another Generalist perk. If he takes the one from the base Tinker, that outright triples his free points per level, which is a wild thing to just give up on.

Justin

Bloodline enhancements are very classy classic trope. Question becomes can perry copy magnum opus of his dad without the side effects. Now nerfed system + connected bud of mimic creates lesser mages tied to "revered ancestor" who is still alive and counters tyrnus incentive for perry decendants to kill him. This also setups new series following descendents from a book standpoint.

Daedalus

Lair Tinker: "Never attack a Tinker in their lair" has never been more true. They guard their creations and base jealously, and woe betide any who try to take what is theirs. Perks: Automated Lair Defenses: Your creations automatically identify hostile or friendly presences within your lair and only affect those which they are designed to. Home Field Advantage: Your creations are substantially more powerful and effective while within your lair. Considering he's gearing up for a fight with a dragon, he really should try to buff up his defenses as much as possible, and a mega-buff to his lair would go a _long_ way.

Daedalus

Improvisational Tinker: While most Tinkers rely upon weeks of careful work to create their masterpieces, Improvisational Tinkers instead prefer to create just the right tool for the job as they need it, scrounging whatever materials they need from their surroundings. Perks: Rapid Creation: Your Tinker Twitch is substantially faster than normal, and creations are more effective the less time has passed since their creation, and since their materials were first assembled by you. Master Builder: Materials and components in your immediate vicinity function as though they were higher-quality alternatives in your creations. Considering how often Perry scrounges together things, or modifies the properties of objects in his vicinity, it would make sense for him to want some perks to enable that, and let him push things all the further.

sb3n

Maybe meeting up with Billy-boy and advancing his Essence knowledge unlocks an Essence Tinker class, Perry sees it, immediately takes it, and that unlocks more, high costing perks that allows him to make the infrastructure to fully utilise Abun'Zal (that might be misspelled) I'm gonna write up some concrete descriptions when I get in front of a pc

Kote's chronicles

Could add nods to you other work as well. Maybe a multi split like ability? Princess in another castle....? Mystic trap Smith would he hard with out being OP.

Daedalus

Technopath: Not content to merely create machines, the Technopath is one with their creations, assembling them and controlling them solely with their mind. Perks: Technokinesis: You need no tools to create your inventions within the Tinker Twitch, but they instead telekinetically collect, refine, and assemble themselves into their desired form. Technopathy: You have a psychic link with your creations, enabling you to direct them even with no other controls, and receive feedback from them directly to your mind. Courtesy of Claudette, of course, but this feels like about as far as the System would let him go with a class in terms of magic. It comes with the bonus of awesome visuals while not breaking too too much.

Elton

You have to at least add as an option for an Easter egg.

Daedalus

Welding Tinker: If you ask the Welding Tinker what's better than a shark and a laser beam combined, they'll reply that a shark combined with a laser beam is clearly superior. They specialize in combining disparate objects into a seamless whole. Perks: Impossible Weld: You may attach disparate objects together in improbable ways, such as welding a piece of paper to a gallon of water, or nailing a laser beam to an apple tree. Each part retains full functionality, even if tinker-tech. These attachments are not harmful to biological subjects. Fusion-Ha: Your creations are more effective the more wildly disparate parts are utilized in their construction, and each portion benefits from attributes the other part possesses. This would give Perry new options for making stuff, and help with the cobbled-together look that we all love him to have. Great synergy with Underestimated.

Enzo Elacqua

Instant test, 30 points The ability to once a day be able to look foward 1.5 second into the future, and see what your ability will do. Caveats: Must use a seperate perk/ability to activate, only measures the reaction of .5 Affinity meters around the caster.

Chad Burnett

How about a perk that allows his stuff to work with nat or Heather better or potentially his kids if one ends up being a tinker? Call it a legacy perk or something

Daedalus

I am INVINCIBLE 3HP, 2B, 1 free: User takes {less damage} from their own creations, even when those creations explode, malfunction, or are stolen.

Kurt A

I think he should buy 10 perks, and maybe get the adaptive hp, organ sheath, and armor summoning perks.

Kurt A

He should definitely get both self modification perks, and both creature design/creation ones. Then maybe an oddball from dramatic tinker? The other dimensional one as well.

Gunmandude2

One of the biggest issues Perry runs into is material scarcity. How about a perk that lets him once a day transmute any single material into any other material? And the amount he can transmute is based on the number of points invested?

worldly bee

First of all, the Scent perk should be called Sniff Test

worldly bee

Dramatic Tinker Perk: you can now hear the sound of narrative causality as theme music. Just as the audience always knows there's danger before the main character, you can now hear the soundtrack of your own life as if you were a 5D eldritch horror watching your life

A

Fuel Efficiency - any direct or indirect use of consumable resources by the user functions as if (0.1 x points invested) is utilized. (Stackable) This perk would work on his spell-slot resources where he can effectively increase his available spell slots by increasing their essence efficiency. This would function as a pretty good point-dump too depending on what you want to set the point price and geometric / exponential growth factor as.

Chris_T

An simple but powerful perk might be to teleport straight home and designate where that is.

Ed Je

Tinker Attunement (5A): User's spells can be cast using attunement instead of spell charges, where attunement temporarily decreases depending on the power of the spell cast.

worldly bee

Industrial Tinker Perk: Fordism For Dummies. Mass production isn't just about producing standardized, low-cost goods, but also having a labor force that can afford to buy your products! You can now assign a limited amount of workers Tinkerer 'micro-specialties' in order to facilitate mass-production of your products. If you've seen Worm, this is basically Teacher's power.

A

Stable Presence - Stability is expanded to provide a weaker protective effect on nearby allies, armor, weapons, and tools.

A

Research Partner - Once per day, create a temporary clone of yourself with a weaker version of your abilities. Clone will cease to exist after 1 hour or after sustaining minor damage. Rank 2: Make up to two clones a day. Additionally, clones can last up to 6 hours, sustain up to moderate damage.

worldly bee

Bio-Tinker Perk: Magical Zoology Gain an intuitive understanding of a creature's biology, including any supernatural aspects such as essence or powers. This perk will really help Perry in categorizing how any animal in Manita uses essence, which could accelerate his making of the table of essences.

A

Plagiarism - user has a small chance (increased with additional point investment) of acquiring unknown information / knowledge from defeated foes (research knowledge, secrets, etc.)

A

Respawn - user gains the ability to resurrect at a safe location after death 1 time (100 pts).

worldly bee

Sonic Tinker: Ride the Wave Wave-Particle Duality? Forget that, everything is a Wave if your level of abstraction is high enough. Gain an extra sense, like the Dimension Sense, that allows you to 'hear' waves at the subatomic level. This will allow you to 'listen' to Essence, hearing it as a human would sound.

Treeman4

Coven - 20, maybe 40 points, (plus a nominal amount of atunement, which would make it look apealing to Perry to get his atunement back down so solaris wont try to melt him early.) Allows a bond with a fellow spellcaster that allows for limited communication and some sharing of essences, where perry could link with his spellcasting computer for more defined control of the spells he already has access to.

Domy

“Bio tinker perk: because you’re worth it. Your body can produce substances that can increase the strength, shine and growth of keratin in your body, that makes you photo shoot ready.”I’m thinking that this perk could eventually be combined with other perks that could for example make a makeshift materials for building ingredients or just makes Perry more attractive and therefore more charismatic. While he has the might make right attitude, he needs something with soft power. Plus I think it would be funny he got into a one upmanship battle with heather over who has the better hair.

worldly bee

Bio-Tinker The Jane Goodall of Slime! Enables communication and understanding with any wildlife, magical or otherwise. Form mutually beneficial agreements with other species, even if they should not have the mental capability to understand it.

2,4,6-Trinitrotoluene

No no come on now. Dramatic Tinker. Gotta show up some gaudy Manitian Royalty and dragons now don't we!? Change "Scent" to "Lick" for more lol. Think of UNDERESTIMATED 20 and the shenanigans!

mhaj58

For sacrifice all of the free points from level 15 Perry can finally acquire his dream class: magic tinker. He’ll be able to develop magi tech with improved skills and abilities as well as strong anti dragon weapons.

worldly bee

Nunquam Titillandus Never tickle a sleeping dragon. But if you have, take this perk. Imbue your creations with a conceptual 'anti-dragon' property. Increases damage and resilience when used against dragons.

vetro 26

Nano-tinker Grey goo You are better able to create machines of a microscopic size. Slight bonus to intelligence of microscopic devices. I think this would be cool as perry has already expanded into larger machines. And the ability to make nanites that can scan the body would pretty useful

Hollowlce

Law Tinker Legalese - Do you know how your stuff works, do they, maybe they misread a spelling, didn't calculate all those ones. Probably didn't expect gravity to no longer apply for the duration of the contract or be at the extreme mercy of good old Murphy's law. It might sound illogical or even implausible until you make or break those laws. May or may not be held responsible for breaking space time, hearts and Karen's. Uses leftover dimensional/potential energy from kills to allow creative freedom to edit actual laws to metaphysical laws for that particular instance. The more crazy the change the more potential energy required. Or it could use excess skill points giving Perry a point sink other then stats but no less potent.

Domy

Bio tinker perk: Maybe he’s born with it! See may last answer but with skin rather than hair and nails. Changes that chemicals produced and the elasticity of his skin Perhaps once he buys these both he unlocks another perk for smell, good old spice, maybe? Don’t know any famous scent slogans. Just a couple of fun ones which on the surface look ridiculous but when combined with others could become a bit op with some forethought. And again soft power to persuade the people.

Domy

Bio/industrial perk: taste test! Lick or stick something in your mouth to learn the chemical composition, some immunity to hazardous materials. This one can be one he just throws away as he has just had some kids and he doesn’t want the side by side comparison. When they do it it’s cute, when he does it, it’s disgusting.

lokiandcoded

Made to fit clothes and tools adapt to the users size better like in an RPG all clothes and weapons fit your character regardless of who wore it before, different tiers make the adjustment better/faster/larger scale

Atoms88

Fluid ejection Able to recreate and eject bodily fluids or ingested fluids from any bodily orifice.

Fervent Fiend

With industrial tinker, he could begin the foundations of his plan to re-take Manita. Large scale production of all his stuff. Not really a power boost per se, but quantity can be a quality of its own.

Domy

Bio/ industrial perk: held together with spit and prayers. Allows the user to bond items together for short periods and makes minor repairs using their own spit. This with spendthrift, creates a semi permanent almost impossible to unstick adhesive and can repair broken armour on the fly. Depending on how far you wish to go, could also be a poor mans healing salve or could help reattach limbs.

Matt

I think 3 perks would allow Perry to actually have a life with his family while opening new possibilities. First, an evolved version of underestimated perk: Power-Scaling(20). User can scale their power to specific saved stat sheets. You can Determine points per slots. That way he can practice with scaled up stats, but hide his power from scary dragon.

Doodlyboy15

Call it 'Friendly Fire'?

Matt

2. Research and Development(20)(5*,10,15A): create a personal subspace to assist with R&D in a safe environment. 5 attunment required to select perk. 10 attunement: small time-diliation within R&D subspace(scaling pending). 15+ attunement to bring others and real-world material into and out of subspace. Possibly an upgrade to allow automated R&D to counter the army of researchers he is facing?

Doodlyboy15

Transferrable HP slots! Once per day Perry can move 3 X his level in the perk to an amount of people equal to his level. That'll give him a good use for and reason to invest in this perk amd his HP so he can slap a few onto his kids and maybe nat and heather.

Matt

3. Dual Class: Hippy Bullshit(40,XXA): Choose the following Mage subclass(with reduced bonuses). Attunement required depends on class selected.

Doodlyboy15

Can you hear me now? Welcome to the world of 5P! Any communication system made by Perry can now interpret and respond regardless of time, distance, dimensional distortions that are not specifically designed to block, distort, or disrupt such communications.

Matt

I know part of the whole point is to restrict his magic skills and him working around that restriction but allowing him to actually learn magic without scarring his soul for new spells would be fine at this point. He already has his work-arounds, but practicing new magic or magic the dragon thinks he can’t do more actively in his R&D subspace would allow him to really surprise the evil dragon.

Matt

An alternative to 3 could be a tinker subclass like “Hippy Bullshit Tinker.” This would allow him to buy spell slots and integrate magic into the system. Maybe a perk within the subclass that will allow him to actual try out new spells before slotting them in…

0xFFF1

Welding Tinker should instead be called Interface Tinker, since the class is about making nonsensical interfaces work between disparate systems, that are somehow better combined than apart.

0xFFF1

The Magnum Opus (Unique) identifier could be enforced by having the System inherit only upon Perry's death, and to the firstborn. It only goes to branch families if the main branch is extinct, in which case the descendants of Perry's secondborn get both The System and Abun'Zaul. Each transference would have a 1 level penalty, and the remaining XP would be converted into bonus XP, allowing the descendant to quickly go from level 0 back up to where the System left off by effectively reducing how much XP is required to level so long as the Bonus XP holds out. Anyways, this would be further motivation for Perry to be okay with dying, because the Magnum Opus his dad spent his life (but not unlife) on won't be lost forever.

RainbowCatTopHat

Some sort of pocket dimension/inventory Perk, but here's the twist: the cost to space ratio is abysmal so he only gets like 1 cubic inch worth of space. I'm interested in what he could do with such a small storage space, the limitation would encourage miniaturization or developing a tiny trump card of sorts.

Cyrus McEnnis

I mean, kind of an obvious one would be a Dragon Slayer style of perk, something to give him massive bonuses against Unca Willie. Another one would be some parental perks, maybe something to ensure that no matter how bad his sociopathy gets he remembers who the kids are and what they mean to him. Going broader - Flexislots. Make it so he can change out his spell slots on the fly. Resistance to Scrying so Billie et al can't use Scrying on him directly. Maybe a multiclass option that grafts a spell caster specialisation to his tinker class so he has access to perks, not spells directly, from classes like enchanter / necromancer / diviner, that sort of thing. Having a bonus to crafting bone based armour might be a fun one to play with for example.

Josiah Elliott

Wave Watcher (5,10,15,25,50) User gains some understanding of the tide with each rank. I don't think it ever culminates in a perfect or even particularly good understanding, but it would give Perry more of a way to use the high attunement low stability state for fuckery without necessarily making him able to create his perfect reality with a glance, and it may need some balancing for better story sense but I think that the super high end level costs balance it some

Aldhere

I'm curious about something: The Underestimated perk. What, exactly, can be considered armor? Would an "anti-divination" spell armor be counted? Or an anti... pretty much anything armor? Since Perry obviously doesn't (yet) have a counter to every attack or spell on his person, trying to create minimal protection against some things, made intentionally somewhat poorly or with methods opponents would underestimate, would give him a decent but not overpowered amount of protection in a pinch. Bonus points if he makes an actual anti-everything armor that... works... but is so utterly shit that some funny debuffs ensue, even if they're not particularly effective. ~~This could also mean the return of Cardboard power armor, as was prophesized~~

Roeland

Everything fun aside 25% points in sliding stats seems like awesome utility and makes for great story telling flexibility

AssaultPenguin

Spell Slots (5, 10, 15, 20)- Uses the System to open up soul space for a new stored essence. May or may not include the necessary plumbing depending on how mean you are. costs are 1/5 the free points in Stat points, either Attunement or Stability. Attunement is obvious as the magic stat, but costing Stability would sort of mirror the natural side effects of soul surgery.

AssaultPenguin

Metamagic- x number of times per day he can apply an extra effect to a spell. What extra effect? Who knows. Most obvious option is doubled effect, but it could be something weirder.

Rotary

Perhaps a perk that allows one free product per 5 in a batch, or something along those lines?

AssaultPenguin

Expedited Essence Recovery (variable cost, maybe as high as twenty just for the first level)- small pool of 'flexible' essence that can be used to quickly recharge another spell on demand. Base version recharges 1 slot of PPP, 3 slots of Light, or shortens the cooldown on Manifestation by 20-30%.

AssaultPenguin

Mechanaut's Reinforced Chassis- (I don't know, I haven't paid enough attention to the points to balance this right, 5 Body)- Reinforces the chest and ribcage up to the current level of Mechanaut/Dad's 'human' chassis. Light enough for domestic use, tough enough for emergencies.

Rotary

+1 in that this also provides an avenue for lore, a goal to strive for (exponential prices?), and possible end game win condition (be capable of tinkering with or exploiting the tide).

Rotary

Perk: Two is better than one. Price: ???. Class: AI Tinker. Description: Be it a sacrificial body-double or a clever business partner, having an extra body and mind around is nice. Any AI piloting a robotic frame resembling yourself or another gains a fraction of the target, making its disguise more seamless and its mind roughly comparable to the original’s. The effect is strengthened and weakened based on the accuracy of the disguised frame.

AssaultPenguin

Autonomic Preservation Matrix (free points, 3 Body, 2 Nerve)- A small cybernetic nexus hidden in the torso continues body functions even if the brain fails. The user still counts as 'alive', including as a valid target for healing spells.

Kurt A

I definitely think some kind of family/legacy perk would be cool. My Bloodline is Strong! 15 free points, 5 body, 5 attunement Your progeny gain a portion of their parents powers. Effect diminishes with generational distance. Combine it with: Child Safety Locks, 10 free points: Everything you create/provide is less likely to cause negative effects on your progeny. Effect diminishes with progeny age.

Ted mend

Hat trick: 3 times a day remove from a head covering something distracting, exciting, or confusing. Might be interesting to change size and control of type of item as it scales up. Just thought it would be fun :)

Carrioncrawl

If you’re really struggling for ideas, maybe have a look at the celestial forge stuff and see if anything sparks some ideas as well. Obviously not taken verbatim or anything

Jonathan Grant

Maybe you should just end the story? You tend to stop writing stories where the protagonist gets to an endpoint of progression where they are too powerful. An actual ending would be nicer.

Thomas Issa

Should Perry complete dimensional tinker, then choose all of the perks that help against soul damage, or should he complete dimensional tinker and choose the perks for making magical monsters?

alex godbeer

External HP field he may protect your health shield onto any think you created

Code Reed

Perhaps an ability that allows for the natural and gradual expansion of his spell limits. On a spell by spell basis. So what I mean is, he's be purchasing a naturalization of one of those soul modifications. That could cost the same as a cross class. Then he'd have to then spend, let's say, 1 attunement and 1 stat point to expand the naturalized spot by one. That could be a decent point sync with just one or two spells. I could see him doing it with the summon stuff spell he uses so much now.

Code Reed

Plus he might be able to reverse engineer how his points did that and improve his soul grafting.

Apoca

Child System: Clone your system and induce it into your children. They start with level 1 once they reach the Maturity threshold. The Second Directive does not apply to them. (The no magic clause)

MurkyTruths

Fix it Felix!: provides scaling bonus to reparing and restoring tinker equipment (works on stuff perry didn't make with a penalty) scales off of attn or dex

Code Reed

Can't he already shrink his suits down to a grain of sand? I could see him making all sorts of factories and large scale items, only shrink them down to the size of an ant and dole them out. Though, technically he could do that already, but he loses his suit and crap far to much for him to keep all that in a compartment. A picket space that only he can access? Probably better. Though I'm getting space magic vibes from the magic ingredients he picked up recently, so maybe he can magic up a picket space without a class perk.

Code Reed

Based on what he has, what's he's been doing, and what was available at level 10, I can only think he might do a few more material specializations, and a factory type tink class. It's most in line with his goals. With the power to plop a factory wherever and whenever he wants, i can only imagine a factory type buffing power would only help.

RainbowCatTopHat

Fair enough, I didn't think about the fact that some of the magical essence he got recently could probably recreate this super easily. In that case maybe ditch the gimmick of a small storage area and go the other way? Like he gets a huge pocket dimension with maybe limits on what he can bring in to the dimension or a present danger (such as the pocket dimension being like, ldk a piece of hell he needs to clean up first).

Joe ?

Maybe something like a perk that amplifies spendthrift x2 if he makes only one of something, x1.5 if he makes two, and from three on it's just his regular 1x. Make it use up a good chunk of attunement, and have a toggle option so he doesn't accidentally make something into a god tier creation when he's doing his one off on the fly adjustments.

austin kutz

He needs to take industrial tinker at the very least, but I think he should also take bio tinker assuming that it applies to his soul modifications. It should, considering that in this world a soul is required for life.

Chuck Wiles

Maybe for some crazy amount of points take a second subclass (100+ and scale the more he takes?)

BlackFire13th

Maybe mecha tinker for giant robots? Other than that only suggestion I got is essence tinker, allows perry to design better contraptions utilizing essence.

STORRM

class: Mechngineer RE-Combine (combine mecha that you created in to a Mega-zoid) Override-safety's ( temporally override physical limitations at the cost of longevity ) Mech-Bay( store self made mecha in a pocket space attached to soul) Auto-Fab (remove the need for him to be around for his perks to work on fabricators) Adaptive-Armour (mech gain resilience to dmg from dmg types that have damaged them before) S.W.A.R.M Smart.Weapon.Autonomous.Reconnaissance.Module's (basically omni tool but for drowns) Upgrade (spend unallocated points to get effect of spending time on RND 1p 10 years?}

Littleme02

The system offering a perk that allows him to move any fetus that he helped create into any woman could be humorous

Robert Apgar

Spend all 200+ points on the variable stats upgrade and become Darwin from X-men. Sliding all your stats to perfectly fit whatever you want them to be. Its a little boring but it is honestly insane how useful it is.

Perhaps one perk to consider is something along the lines of a wildcard power that would allow him to borrow a fragmented version of other powers from Abun Zaul. Allowing him the ability to polymorph like Heather, spirit smith like Nat, alter materials like Chemestro, and channel Solaris for one minute a day would make for amazing storytelling. Maybe he could even bestow his powers on his children

I have mostly two suggestions I think I made last time already: First, something that allows for manipulation of spatial distortions. He basically already took something in that direction with his dimensional Sense he took at the last go-around, but only ever used it for soul stuff. But spatial distortion has a lot of potential without being too OP. While he has already teleportation in several forms through spells and magic, getting more consistent effects through Tinker-perks would allow him to make his armors bigger on the inside, allowing him to fit more and bigger tech into it. It would also allow him to fit more infrastructure into his soul without increasingly straining Soul surgeries. Also just generaly thicker armor, and maybe some "spatial armor" that basically creates a thin layer of compressed spaces over his physical armor. It would be a nice enhancement for melee combat, since if the first centimeter over his armor actually contains a meter worth of space, everyone simply trying to punch him would miss him due to the fact that he is actually a meter further away then they think. Secondly, some kind of Industrial/cooperative/supportive Tinker perk that allows him to work more closely with Nat, actually allowing them to work together more closely on a project. Plotwise, it would also make for a good oportunity to get Perry and Heather a bit closer, I think. I think it would be very like Nat to make their first truly cooperative project a present for Heather, only for her to pull back and push the "blame" on Perry at the last moment. It also felt like a lot of wasted potential this whole time two have two Tinkers in the same team, but have them barely work together, Beyond maybe Perry using some of Nats sacrifical Anodes. Just the most obvious options would be for Perry to integrate some of Nat's magnetic Limbs like Boomer them has, allowing him to have one base armor with alround capabilities, but then additionally equip up to four different Magnetic Limbs with more specialized loadouts, maybe even with the ability to teleport in different Limbs from HQ so he can better adapt to any given situation. (A little bit similar to Ironmans Hulkbuster armor that can jettison damaged parts and have them, replaced on the fly.) And, of course, there is the option top take advantage of Boomers larger size to integrate spell-disks that would take up too much space to be viable in Perry's armor. As for Heathers present, they could maybe build her some kind of structural skeleton. It would give her body increased structural integrity and strength, like powerarmor, but internal. And with Nat's Magnetic joints, it would have more than enough flexibility to not hinder her when shapeshifting, while Perry's spell-disks could give her some more utility and firepower. Maybe that Haste-spell Perry is developing would be a perfect fit for her. Anyways, I really hope he takes a cooperative perk, since it gives a lot of utility and power, without being too OP or opening up yet another string of research that he needs to dive into on top of everything he is already doing. Also, it just fits thematically, especially now that the children are born and they are without sidekicks. Just seems like the kind of thing that would tie them all just a little bit closer together.

Silence the Lamb

Industrial/Mega structure tinker- Boosts his ability to design mega structures into near city size. or just causes buildings to enlargen by 10%

Silence the Lamb

My initial favorite is something to help with increasing his reach so he can build satellites and reach other parts of the world. So maybe- Satellite connection, ability to connect various electronics directly together. Micro-tinker seems like an easy grab to boost his ability to make his armor a swiss army knife. Giving things a boost from in being less than a certain size seems like it might be overpowered. Bio-engineer is fun to allow some critter creation-perk-Creations 'tend' towards the intended niches they are designed or stops evolution in selected creations.

Of course sets up the insanity of decendants offing each other for the power. Mantians are all in for familicide for crown on best days. Throw in crazy power from day one and might as well have knife fight to of existing heirs just for stability sake every 10 years

A perk that he can always dump points into in case he starts going nuclear with his stats is probably a good idea. Say if he starts reaching the limits of reality or something. Or a perk that shows up after 50 in each stat that allows him to go 1 past 100 for each level costing 1 more point for each level. So 1 for 101 but 2 for 102, 3 points total. And it just raises the "cap". Or something similar to your discretion of course. Isn't something that even add more for you to think about him doing. Just a point sink.

Meta Tinker: (I feel like you want these already with your writing.) Of course, you can tweak the distance to inches or feet and whether it scales with attunement. Reach: Can apply tinker abilities to objects up to x distance away—scales with Attunement. Tune: Increased ability to tailor the adjustments your traits make on objects. With the vagueness of Tune, it would provide a reason for more control later as he gets more attunement and such as well. I don't think either of these would change the story much if you had somewhere you were going already. Also, you could re-word tune a little differently and have it affect his ability to control his strength so he doesn't hurt people, which could be a problem now or soon. He is about to have babies to handle.

Macronomicon

seems like something Nat could learn, actually.

Red Viking

Maybe Perry does it first by spending points and she learns to do it by studying the grafts?

Macronomicon

I'm thinking maybe when kids are 12-13, and he's re-conquered Manita would be a good point.

Something to help keep the lid on abun zaul? Had another close call there.
