Hey, I Need Cover Ideas (Patreon)

So the end of ISM book 3 kinda snuck up on me, and I realized i need to finish preparations for their ultimate release on Amazon, and I'm woefully behind. I need a cover for book 2 and 3, and my ideas for covers are kind of nebulous and lame. I am officially in panic mode.So, this is where you guys can help me out by giving suggestions for covers. If you have an idea for a setup, post it below in the comments, and don't forget to check through other people's comments to see if there's something you like, and upvote that.I will share more details on the potential release details, and future plans as we get closer to finishing Book 3, but for right now it's just covers and editing that need to be done.Perry still needs to beat that dragon and colonize Manita, afterall.I do have a great title for book 2 though: Industrial Strength Magic: Sequel.EXELooking forward to dropping back in and checking the comments later tonight. Considering covers should preferably hint at something that happens in said book, it might be helpful to know roughly what parts book 2 and 3 contains. And where book 1 ends, for that matter, for those of us who've only read the online novel :)

My assumption is book 2 is after the death of Nexus through Doctor replicator's "death", and book 3 is post replicator through Dragon's demise that hasn't happened yet.

I think the book 3 cover should be a 50/50 split between them working together and them fighting.

Book 1: Perry in the center surrounded by family and friends similar to Mushoku Tensei Vol 1 cover. Book 2: Perry, Nat, Wraith, Chemestro and Boomer standing against the replicators as Solaris flies over the battlefield Book 3: Perry and Tyrannus looking at a portal to Manitia while Heather is holding the twins Will there be any AI assisted images of the characters? Sometimes I wonder if Heather is blonde or a redhead, I can’t remember how tall Nat is, and I’m tired of trying to paint a mind picture of Hexen.

Personally, I like the first book to have a clear picture of the MC so my lacking imagination and memory doesn't have to work to hard to remember what he looks like. As for the cover itself, I'd say him with an iPad or some sort standing by his cardboard suit taking notes. Maybe Heather off to the side. As for book 2, something involving that little orb thing they found in Chicago that kills and replicates people. Maybe with that railgun guy turning to dust in front of the crew. Book 3 just has to have the dragon and the bird thing in it. Keeping things a little vague, since I don't know what exactly you will want. Just pointing out a few key things that definitely should be in it.

For book 2: I think any scene of the group in Chicago could be a fun image, juxtaposing confused 1970s folk with the absolute cavalcade of strange that was the team. For action it could be them facing down the Replicators in the street, or their encounter with Joshua Cochran. For comedy, hard to beat a bunch of supers squeezed into a diner.

Book 2 definitely is all about replicators. This could be with zombie vibes (hordes of replicators climbing over chicago or something) More eerie with an idyllic 80s scene, interspaced with some not entirely humans and giant replicator combat bots (or whatever) or maybe mad scientist vibes, inventing replicators, building some person to preserve as a robot etc. just some suggestions

Yeah, Matador could be really photogenic, cape and cigar and 1950's chromed car appearance. It would contrast well with the mark 3 (still cardboard right?)

book two should be perry falling into professor replicas lair, dozens of replicators around and the chicago skyline behind, book three should be perry on the cart going to the west coast, with his armor flying over head, and a shot of the giant dragon god statues around

I feel like the pregnancy is more significant than many of the other things in book 3, if I've got the book breakdown right.

I would recommend doing a parody of the first cover. A pure black suit all damaged while chemistro, the two ladies, whoever the fuck chemistros dad was named again, and have it take place in chicago. A clear chicago landmark or something, or maybe a train. Maybe don't overthink it? Perhaps PPP.exe could make an appearance as its black web-tentacle self.

The image of Perry starring up into the Tide always stuck with me, his inner formless horror hungry for that formless horror. Idk how one even draws any of that tho? Perry with a tentacular shadow starring up into a vaguely similar writhing cosmic night sky?

I have ideas for a book 3 cover: 1. Trannus in a lab coat and goggles (possible evil lab in the background). 2. Tyrannus and Perry having a propper tea party with a magnifying glass making Perry seem as big as the dragon

I suggest going with an old school comic book cover style with Perry and his team on one side facing off against a random arch villain and their minions.
