Romania: I think this volume will be when things start improving. Shen QingQiu: dies again, revives again, and is probably kidnapped in only two chapters. No, but seriously, having Binghe watch Shen QingQio die for a second time is so evil. If he wasn't emotionally unstable before, I don't know what we are going to get now. Also, the possibility that the original Shen QuinQio was meant to be a morally grey character that ends up with Luo Bingue after character development is more tragic when you think that in this timeline he is dead and replaced by Shen Yuan without anyone noticing. So, any nuance that he could have shown is just gone. He never had a chance. It kind of reminds me of the character of Jessica Rabbit saying, "I am not bad; I am just drawn this way," hahaha. He is literally written this way. And yeah, in the story, every character is meant to be treated as a real person rather than a character, but if Luo Binghe changed, who is to say that the scum villain did not also deserve a second chance. That is why I love this story so much. The more you read, the more you discover so many what-ifs that would have completely changed the story.

The roller coaster just never stops huh? I liked your point about them both trying to make this relationship transactional in their own ways at different times. First SQQ, then later LBH. It reminds me how they’ve both had things preventing them from seeing each other as their real selves. First SQQ treating everyone like characters, and LBH having too little knowledge or context to know SQQ’s real feelings and motivations and such. I always really enjoyed the SQH reveal about his first draft vs his published work. It makes SQQ’s system mission very meta. Just like how a fandom will fill in blanks and come up with headcanons after a story is released, the system and SQQ have to fill in blanks left by SQH when his first draft was lost. I just love the ideas that spring from the acknowledgment that stories kinda take on a life of their own once the author puts them out there, you know? Thanks for another video! Love your reactions and commentary! PS- been meaning to tell you that the voice you give to the System is very entertaining ^.^

Romania, the mentioning of swords, foreplay and Mo Dao Zu Shi led my brain to think of a certain extra 💀 Dammit Wei Wuxian! No worries on how you've divided up the chapter sets. Especially in comparison to MDZS and TGCF this story is a lot harder to divide up by several chapters because of just how long the chapters are. It did make me binge read a whole lot more, but also meant it was difficult to be like "Right, I'll finish this chapter and go to bed...wait there's *that* many pages left until I finish the chapter?? Guess no sleep tonight 😅" Now you further understand how the crumbs the SVSSS fandom are surviving on, which also helps explain why quite a bit of the fandom have become feral 🤣 I do adore the interactions between Shen Qingqiu and Shang Qinghua. Shen Qingqiu lets out more of how he is internally when he's around his fellow transmigrator. But the "cordial middle finger" part before he goes back to his sword is definitely one of my favourite moments in this scene with them. I do have to say though I do relate with how matter-of-fact Shang Qinghua describes the change in dynamic for Shen Qingqiu and Luo Binghe from the original novel, as well as feel the pain of losing so much work because of technological fails 😭 Thankfully I use Google docs now so have not lost any stories or ideas since I changed to it from Microsoft Word. I do find Shang Qinghua as a writer interesting. Typically I see things telling writers (whether published or for fanfiction, but mostly the latter) to write for themselves and not anyone else. Airplane Shooting Towards The Sky appears to have started out that way but his financial needs won out so he changed the plans from his draft version so as to give the more vocal readers what they wanted from his novel. It is an interesting commentary on how authors can have different motivations on why they write and what they write. And with Shen Qingqiu's perspective of this information, it definitely makes writing for monetary gains be seen in a negative light because, as a result, Airplane Shooting Towards The Sky's original published novel was left with plot holes and so many character tropes/a lack of multifaceted characters. Things Shen Qingqiu, at the behest of the System, must now try to fix. Luo Binghe c*ckblocking us from the information Shang Qinghua has. But he did gain the courage to communicate with Shen Qingqiu about his feelings 🥺 But Shen Qingqiu just negating it by saying he doesn't know what is true or false when it comes to Luo Binghe's words did hurt me a little. I get where he's coming from because Luo Binghe's actions have been running either hot or cold, but it does hurt that Shen Qingqiu doesn't seem to even consider if Luo Binghe's words are sincere and just wants to waive them away and for Luo Binghe not to talk about it. In this situation it was definitely Shen Qingqiu perpetuating the miscommunication between them. For Shen Qingqiu deciding to "stick with the devil [demon] you know" over the possibility of using Tianlang-jun to curb Luo Binghe definitely seems a sensible idea. Even with the changes to the story, there is some parts of Luo Binghe still like the original flavour. With Tianlang-jun as he never appeared in the original novel, Shen Qingqiu has absolutely zero information that could help him in understanding the character and being able to avoid any issues in his character. Ah yes, the System basically being a tattle-tale about Luo Binghe's masochistic side with that punch from Shen Qingqiu 🤭 The horror on your face for Luo Binghe being left with a withered body that once housed Shen Qingqiu. Once again he basically has to experience Shen Qingqiu's "death". Definitely breaks your heart for him 💔 The Mausoleum's blind corpses really showing off how great a horror writer Mo Xiang Tong Xiu has been from her first published work. She definitely writes it in a way to make you squeamish and freaked out for Shen Qingqiu. The party popper did much better this time! I was just waiting on seeing a four-legged menace pouncing into view after the streamers though 🤣 To be fair to your belief that Shen Qingqiu would be at Luo Binghe's house for longer than he did, the title at the start "House Arrest" does make you think he's going to be Luo Binghe's captive for quite a long period of time. Mo Xiang Tong Xiu is good at derailing your expectations in all her novels, but I do think SVSSS is on a whole other level. Like the build-up with the mushrooms giving us Plantzun (fandom's nickname for Shizun in his mushroom body), but then we only get Shen Qingqiu like that for several chapters before it's back into the original body he transmigrated into. It was an unexpected twist for Shen Qingqiu's first "death" and what the actual use of the mushrooms were, but then we get hit with another twist that Shen Qingqiu's plans to live in his mushroom body are derailed (both by the reveal that he's actually alive, and then by his soul being yanked out and original body resurrected).

*nervous laugh* That ol’ MXTX, am I right?! I DO really feel for LBH for having to watch SQQ die a SECOND time and this time shrivel up and wither away? CRUEL, MXTX! It WOULD be interesting if SQQ was originally meant to be this morally gray character that could have ended up with LBH, but messed up (hence become a human stick) is really sad for a missed opportunity! I view it as a good thing, though, not bad in that SQQ has been replaced with Shen Yuan - but that does suck for the OG Shen QingQiu! That Jessica Rabbit quotation is constantly playing in my mind throughout reading this series! This story is sooooo dense and complex and I cannot wait to see how the rest of it shapes up, but YES, so many what if scenarios! Thank you for the comment and kind words! I can’t wait to see where this goes!

SVSSS has been a NONSTOP roller coaster, that’s for sure! Yes, both of them have each had hurdles that have kept them from being able to meet eye to eye or to communicate with one another! That’s very true! And yessss, the System enlisting SQQ to recover and fill in the gaps with the initial draft - there are so many layers with it! And yes, “death of the author” is one of my favorite concepts in fiction and media literacy and this story is a living embodiment of it - maybe why I love it so much! Thank you for the comment and kind words and YAY! I’m so glad you enjoy my “system voice!” I can’t wait for next week!

Ohhhh, right?! There were a LOT of MDZS influences flowing around my brain this chapter set! Yesss, the binge-ability of this series is INSANE! And I do understand why the fandom is feral - it’s really not fair for any of them/us! I could definitely relate to SQH in his fail with losing part of a draft - I had that in college and am pretty paranoid about saving works now - but the conversation between the two of them was HILARIOUS! I just loved it! And the concept of “selling out” really does hammer home with Airplane – when they caved to the pressure of those trying to call the shots in the comment section (though it seems he didn’t - or did he?! - listen to Peerless Cucumber. ;) ). I definitely feel MXTX is making commentary on how bad it is for a writer to follow fan trends and just write for money and not what they want - which also seems to be commentary that MXTX isn’t going to cave to her own fans and is going to stick to her guns…and that’s a good thing! I was so happy LBH decided to FINALLY communicate, which made it all sadder when SQQ brushed him away! 😢I don’t blame him in the sense that he can’t make heads or tails with how LBH is acting and he’s been so erratic, but we the audience know where LBH’s coming from so it’s just…Angst City! And yes, SQQ definitely is in character - so to speak - with not wanting to go with something outside his comfort zone! I DID feel horrible for LBH being left to watch SQQ’s body wither away – regardless of how much of a brat he is, it would still be horrible to witness the love of your life die…TWICE…and in that manner! The Blind Corpses are SUCH an MXTX creation! She can definitely write horror story monsters with ease, can’t she? Very creepy and spooky; SQQ is way calmer than I would have been in that scenario! Just gotta get the hang of the party popper! 😛 hahaha, luckily, Ruby and Huckleberry were DONE with me by the time I got to it! XD MXTX has derailed my expectations every week with this series and I’ve loved her for it! You seriously cannot predict where it’s going to go and I love it for that. I was floored by these chapters…and it’s just the start of Volume 3! Oh ho ho! Thank you for the comment and kind words!
