sounds amazing. Living on the east coast, Anime Boston was my con of choice pre covid. Your description of Momo sounds like it's similar to AB in size. sounds like the main difference was momo had a lot more NON anime related stuff. Yeah. in AB they had cosplay repair people too. usually they were parents of cosplayers who found a positive way to be involved. You mentioned the lines. I went to one of the earliest Anime Bostons about 20ish years ago. it was unofficially renamed LINECON and they even handed out "i survived LineCon" flyers to the linegoers. that year we got there at 8am and didn't even get our BADGES until 3pm. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=LineCon I totally agree with your take on vendor/artist alley. 20 years ago, the vendors were worth it, because there was nowhere else to buy official merch. Nowadays you can buy online and even direct from japan. the artist alley however, is where the true masterpieces hide. I still have a handmade glow in the dark forest spirit from princess mononoke that I use as a night light.

I admit I don't have much knowledge about cons but this video is great! I learned A LOT, and feel like maybe I'll make it over to MomoCon next year or after! All the little tips and reflections on organizing your schedule! ~60,000 people, that's over twice as many as larger college campuses sport! Wild! Really appreciated the video and all the editing. Imagine if they had the Utena car, or better yet, the motorcycle! I was surprised to hear there's a negative light to cons - and glad it all concluded with the importance of them providing a safe and friendly space for all, that's so very great to have!

Oh what a fun video. Im not one to go to many cons but this really made me want to go again. Lots of great cosplay. Your Nanami was top tier! Awesome ya caught the Studio Orange panel. Hopefully they post those online, would have loved to see the Trigger one. A great video and so much fun recounting your time at Momo Con. If ya go to another, hope you make another vlog of your experience.

Thank you so much for the comment and kind words! There was SO much amazing cosplay there! And thank you for the compliment on Nanami! I really would have loved to have seen the Studio Trigger panel, but I hope they post the graphic design elements for Studio Orange as well! I definitely will make a vlog of future con visits, whenever they happen! :D

Thank you so much for the comment! Anime Boston sounds amazing! That's so awesome about the parents being the "cosplay repair" individuals. LINECON - oh god, that sounds...painful! I'm glad that cons have gotten more savvy about all that over the years, but I love you were part of the LORE of Anime Boston's history! That is SUCH a good point about the artist alley vs. the main merch - I was thinking that, "I could get this online if I wanted," vs. the artist alley, where there are so many beautifully crafted treasures! That Princess Mononoke night light sounds incredible! Thank you for the comment and sharing that info! I'll have to put Anime Boston on my list!

Thank you so much! I would definitely make it to Momocon at least at SOME point! It was such a fantastic experience, if not a little overwhelming (in a good way), but definitely the largest event I've been to so far! THE UTENA CAR OR MOTORCYCLE!? I would have DIED with fangirling! And yes, cons are so good for inclusivity - I love what they represent! Thank you for the comment and the kind words!!

This was such an awesome review. Really inspired me to attend my first AnimeCon [here in Seattle]
