Zeekutar The Immortal

right at the end of your post watch commentary, you mentioned the maturity of the girls and how the adults treat them. I love this aspect of the show. i believe most children want to be mature responsible adults if given the chance and proper support. the problem comes from the parent/mentor missing the cues and continuing to treat them like children. you have to catch that moment when the child is actively asking, through body language and actual questions: "how do i do this the adult way?" if you miss it, they feel its not their responsibility and take the easy route. so far, all the expedition team is being supportive but not coddling. the girls could easily lie and pretend to be sick in their rooms all trip, but they've been given the trust they've wanted and feel responsible to keep up with the adults. will they make mistakes? Sure. They'll alhomicide so work hard and support their new family, because a caring family is worth contributing to and fighting for. Also, i'm sure the girls did NOT tell anyone about their night surfing adventure. that WOULD have had them on lockdown as i'm sure it violated some safety rules. frankly, it was the stupidest thing they've done so far. no one knows they are there. overboard = death. now the ladies would need to go back to japan to face negligent homicide charges. and they are minors too.

I think everyone who watches this episode yells the same thing "get back inside the boat!"

A Place further than the Universe is my favorite "Cute Girls doing cute things" series. Because it's more like "cute Girls doing awesome impressive things". Love seeing the friendship bounds grow stronger and stronger through all that

I traveled on an Antarctic cruise about 10 years ago and there were no restrictions on access to the deck when passing through the Drake Passage. It seems that when the seas are very rough, it is restricted. If it is rough like this episode, of course the restrictions will be in effect. The producers must have wanted to depict this scene even at the expense of reality. In this show, such choices can be found in several places.

Yes another week, another Kimari’s inspiring moment. We are way more close to the Antarctic, it also means the bonding, the growth are all going to reach the peak and unfortunately it is time to face the reality of losing mom…

HAHAHA!! RIGHT?! After seeing Titanic, I'm like, "Do you know how easily you could get thrown off?!" Thank you for the comment - I'm glad it's not just me!

That is such a good description of them doing things that we all would kind of like to do, even if they seem intimidating or not appealing in all aspects - that is a great way to describe it! And the character development is fun! Thank you for the comment!

Yes, I love that the adults are treating them like they are mature adolescents that are responsible as they are - but they’re not afraid to support them either. It’s a great point you bring up about the series finding that moment when they’re ready and willing to take that step as well. I’m also glad I’m not the only one that thought them hanging off the rails as their boat slams through the waves to be CRAZY – yeah, if I were those girls, I would take that to the grave! Thank you for the comment and kind words!

That is AMAZING that you went on an Antarctic cruise! How cool! And oh yeah, I’m sure this was an “anime moment” but for a show focused on realism, those girls got lucky that it was just a moment made for them to be a narrative device. Thanks for the comment!
