Something I really like about this show, and Sakura right now, is that he feels so real. I mean, yes, he has been incredibly discriminated against his whole life for his looks... and yes, he will also judge others base of their looks because that is what he has been thought to do, however unconsciously that may have been. It feels like a very real approach to the situation to me, and an unconventional one as well; most series would have had Sakura being the banner for anti-discrimination talks, which is a valid reaction to his past, but I find Sakura mimicking what has been done to him so much more interesting. Yes! Suo is here! He is such a weird little guy from the get go, and that talked to my soul xD And, yes, I immediately shipped him and Sakura because of it *lol* Nirei is a sweetheart and I'm glad that this more open sweetheart has befriended our little repressed sweetheart Sakura. That coffee analogy is great. It was one of my favorite moments of the episode. Kotoha seems like a very wise gal, and I love that in the midst of all these fighting boys xD

Loved the reaction and discussion! Yes, we meet several more beans! 🥰 Nirei is such a sweetheart 🥰 – even with the small thing of being curious (and a little suspicious of someone from ‘outta town’) and yet his first impulse still was to be concerned about Sakura being stressed. And what you noted regarding expressions of positive emotion/excitement is so important and always good to point out. It is an on-going communication problem and definitely infects fandom spaces significantly, as well. Bits of joy, no matter how small, are good for our health. I believe the VA of the male baker is Kazumasa Nakamura – I know him from some video games mostly, and while he has not had many prominent roles, he’s very prolific and has done many guest characters in a bunch of shows you have reacted to recently (Dandadan, Delicious in Dungeon, Orb, etc). Lovely voice. Speaking of – that was such a wonderful scene! 🥰 I loved Sakura being dumbfounded by everyone gifting him supplies and seeing how much the townsfolk started to look after Sakura straight away. I would definitely recommend the excellent dub, btw, so as a teaser: a really fun line in this episode is from the scene with the liquor vendors where the son goes - “Don’t embarrass me in front of Bofurin, Dad!” 😆 Also completely agree with how great all the physical+chibi comedy is and the episodes are so dense with it! I always catch something new on rewatch. We got the Squirtle Gang last week and the Frat House Boy Band this week. 🤣 Between following Wind Breaker beans and everyone’s wonderful commissions – Fridays for the foreseeable are an event day for me! 🥰 Cannot wait for next week! 🌸

They will never make me hate you, Nirei I love how you immedietly love Suo. What a mood, that was also me when I first read Windbreaker. He is probably in my top3 characters in a story. And his design is absolutely amazing.

Yes, Sakura’s reactions are very relatable, especially when we the audience believes he’s had it rough and comes from a discriminated background. You get why he thinks the way that he does. And I like how Tachibana calls him out as a learning moment for him, because like you said - he probably doesn’t realize he does it. I really like Suo - design and the mystery about him as well! Nirei is also a sweetheart and I love that these beans are gathering around each other! XD I love the coffee analogy so much! Kotoha is great; we need some grounded wisdom around all these brawling boys! Thank you for the comment!

The beans are gathering! I just love Nirei and his care towards Sakura almost instantly. I will celebrate any little tiny moment of joy we can get, because they can become so precious and hard to come by at times! Let’s root for people being excited about things! Ahhhh, okay, yes, Nakamura’s voice is so good! And that’s probably where I recognize him (from DandaDan or Delicious in Dungeon, Orb, etc.)! Sakura deserves all the gifts! Oohhh, I may need to check out the dub, then, if it’s good! Thank you for that recommendation! And yes, the chibi comedy is so cute! Squirtle Gang and now Frat House Boy Band - we’re getting all the good tropes so far! Ahhh, I’m so excited for this series every Friday - I’m pretty hooked on it already! suo is such a troll sometimes lol just out to see fun times and stir things up great character design nirei is such a cute bean, trying his best he looks up to strong guys he likes, but it's fun how he sometimes teases sakura too i like that when he's worried or scared, he's not mute from fear
