The Bofurin uniforms tell you what year each character is in - there are stripes on their sleeve, one stripe for each year.

Togame! He is my favourite character in Windbreaker, I'm so ready for you to meet him properly. They really put some budget in animating Togame here. But for me he deserves it fully, I love the guy. When Togame arrives there is a scene that Hiragi also crosses the border of their turfs. In manga the panel shows it more clearly, but he goes specially between Togame and Sakura with Sugishita to separate them. I think it shows nicely what person Hiragi is. And I love how he have to take stomach drugs because I also had stomach pains from stress. Thats so relatable. Suo is so funny. Like dude you are so unhelpful, just standing here and having fun from everything XD and here comes Yuuchi Nakamura! Also I'm crying from you laughing at Umemiya's white hair. Leave the poor gardener alone! It's cool how Sakura in Sakuras name mean cherry and Ume in Umemiyas name means plum. I like to hear you speculations about everything, knowing when you are wrong or right. Can;t wait for you to having all your teories confirmed or not. It's cool how much you already think about some of the topics or characters. There is a lot to analyze in Windbreaker so I'm sure you will have a lot of fun watching the series. I hope they will announce thirs season soon! Current anime only covers like 1/2 of a manga but its pretty popular so I'm exited

This episode was way more fun than I remembered it being, awesome. You know, I think that Umemiya didn't only give the Furin guys a sense of belonging, which is very important, but also a pupose, a reason to be, which is a very poewrful combination that he focused for good. These kids who were rejects, and probably told that they couldn't amount to much - thinking that they were in similar spots than Sakura - now how a place that will accept them and protect them but all their energy that previously was just focused on fighting is now redirected into protecting and doing good, and as a result they get appreciation and respect from the other people fo the town. Gotta say, that is a very smart move and a very powerful combination. I love how wacky the characters are. Suo, a sadist; Hiragi, a worrywart; Umemiya, a silly guy; Togame, intense murder vibes, etc.; Sakura, a combat chihuaha, vicious on the outside and soft on the inside xD It's really fun to see them interact.

Loved the reaction and discussion! So lovely to see how much you’re enjoying the show already. 🥰 One of my favourite moments in this episode is Hiragi explaining their approach to patroling and then running off when he sees an old lady trying to use a ladder. Problems big and small. 😆 And poor thing got put in charge of the two problem children straight away in Sakura and Sugi. I find all of Sugi’s interactions with Sakura so hilarious, Sugi is not having any of it. 😆 Also, I now cannot get the image of Sakura as a puffy Pomeranian out of my head! 🤣 He gets so excited when he sees someone who he thinks might be a badass. Togame makes a spectacular entrance, definitely agree. And Nirei is so relatable! Cannot wait forrrrr next week! 😆🌸

My fav character Togame!!! I love how he looks chill and easy going, even a bit air head-y, that what makes him more badass and scary when he start hitting and threatening people lol. By the way Togame Jo (十亀 条), the "game (亀)" part actually means "turtle", I think that's why they purposely make him talk slowly !!

I’m really excited to see him in this series, because I love Togame’s look! All of the characters so far have been so colorful and intriguing; it makes me really excited to dive into the series and see where it comes! I couldn’t help but laugh with Umemiya because of COURSE he’s a white-haired, OP leader/mentor figure being voiced by Nakamura. 😛 Of course he is…Nakamura, you’re being typecast, friend. But that’s not a bad thing! That’s a good note about their names, though! And yes, I’m excited to see where my theories go - I never mind being proven wrong by a series - that’s often the most fun part is to see what it “was instead!” So yay! And Wind Breaker is giving me a lot to analyze! So I can’t wait! Thank you for the comment!

I really enjoyed this episode! That’s a great point about purpose as well; I agree, I love that it gives them something to contribute towards, which helps their sense of esteem as well. And yes, Suo comes off as a sadist for sure - Sakura as a COMBAT CHIHUAHA AHHAHA I love it! Thank you for the comment!

Thank you - I really love this series so much and I look forward to the episodes each week; it’s basically going to take Natsume’s spot as a comfort anime for me! And yes, Hiiragi’s explanation to patrolling is so important! But man, Umemiya really trusts but also wants him to suffer, putting him on Sakura and Sugi! And yeah, Sugi is just not having Sakura at all - love these characters bouncing energy off one another. And Sakura being Pomeranian - basically cat and small dogcoded! XD Nirei being relatable and Togame being so intimidating - made for a great episode and I cannot wait either! This series is just so fun! Thank you for the comment and kind words!

togameeeeeee he looks intimidating but he looks so good... beware of characters in getas lol i like to imagine that he took off the sunglasses cuz they were tinting his vision so he wanted to be sure that sakura's hair was othello and not halloween colored lolol i also like that comment from hiragi about protecting vs raiding. and yeah, sakura needs more hobbies outside of fighting

Togame has an AMAZING character design but yes, he does look scary! Ahhh, that's hilarious about him checking Sakura's hair color! Hahaha!! And yes, Hiragi's speech on protecting vs. raiding is so good! I love it and his character is growing on me! Thanks for the comment!

The mods protect me from all spoilers - I go in blind and I'm personally strict about spoilers! :) That's just how I am - don't worry, I get to see both the OP and ED later on (as I explain in the video) -- you'll see me react to it, so I'm not missing out on anything. ^^ I just see it a little later and it makes the reveal sweeter.
