*TIME TRAVELING HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

Amane's a time traveller, the time machine has a malfunction, but at least Okarin (for now) is back to his goofy old self...right? Right?! I have lots of theories on this episode and I can't wait to discuss them with you as we're racing against the clock to save Mayuri...and possibly the world!

Amane did say that she was 18 when she is introduced so she was either born in 2017/2018. Daru would be early 40s by 2036.

So Kurisu channeler name Chestnut rice and kamehameha part of it is her name so originally it is Kurigohan and Kamehameha.

I think its important to keep in mind that the futures of the Beta and Alpha timelines are different as Amane has warned Okabe so in this Alpha line Amane stops in 2010 to see her dad and all these dmails lead to Mayuri being killed and Kurisu helping Sern after they are captured. Beta line Kurisu and Amane could be entirely different from who we know now. There might be a completely different narrative of 2036 as well. It's interesting to think about because we do see Amane on the roof of the conference building in the Beta line so she landed there in that timeline as well but there could be countless theories as to why she's there maybe she's there to kill Kurisu maybe she's there to assist Kurisu or maybe she has nothing to do with Kurisu at all it's a mystery indeed.

A quick reminder that Daru was supposed to go to the forum but Okarin tricked him to stay by telling him Feyris was cooking and that's the night that Amane suddenly left because her dad wasnt at the forum then Okarin prevented her from leaving by having her attend the party in the different world line. That night however before he changed world lines he went looking for Amane when she said goodbye and she had disappeared and so did the time machine.

I think the reverse could be asked as well is Okabe Amane's pawn to saving the future of 2036 and its kinda interesting how there is a running theme of meaningless things taking on meaning Okabe always talking about the Organization and Steins gate have now in their own way taken on meaning, All the simple Dmails sent have now taken on meaning Daru's naming convention of these future gadgets now based on our theories have taken on meaning.

One thing I love so much about this episode is that, thankfully, now most of them are in the now of what's going on and we can actually talk about it, it's great! That one moment with Kurisu extending her hand towards Suzuha to help her escape from the cops is such a good moment. I particularly love Kurisu telling Suzuha that she is not the Kurisu that she know yet. In a show about time travel, I think this is especially valuable for the characters to remember, and we have been mentioning it regarding Okabe. Whatever Kurisu will do in the future, whatever things Suzuha knows her for, they haven't happened yet, and Suzuha is doing herself a diservice by not influencing this younger version of Kurisu in any way she can, and not giving herself the opportunity to really get to know Kurisu. Okabe going from self-proclaimed mad scientist to being one of the founders of the resistance army that is opposing the oppresive government is such a cool twist. I especially like it when you pair it with the fact that Kurisu and Okabe are friends right now, but they will (apparently) end up in opposite sites of this conflict. My brother was the one to show me this show many years ago, and Okabe speaking English to that one street seller is one of our favorite moments, I swear it always cracks us up. Okabe is such a good friend, though. He is so desperate to get Mayurii back - his oldest and closest friend, but he is still taking the time to help Suzuha find her dad because Suzuha is also his friend and he wants to help all of his friends. And not only that, but the does it with good cheer and giving it his all. He's precious. I laughed so hard when I noticed that when Okabe, Kurisu, and Suzuha meet Daru and Mayurii on the street suddendly Okabe is left with all the shopping Mayurii had done for celebratory party and Mayurii walks away empty handed xD It was her shopping, but I guess she decided now it's Okabe's trouble since the party has been postponed.

Random question, but are you planning to read the Steins;Gate visual novel at some point?

Thank you for all the comments! The mods said the information was flagged because it can wait until later - I go in blind and want to avoid any spoilers, hints, or clues until later in case I figure it out as I watch - at the end of the season, if I still haven't figured things out, feel free to bring that info back up then! Thanks!

Thank you for the comment and support! Unfortunately with my work schedule and current channel schedule, probably not. I am watching all of the anime adaptation, but I don't have plans for the visual novel at this time.

HAHAHA, Okarin, never change. :P Thank you for the comment!

Yes! The fact they can all communicate about what’s happening is such a big relief moment! At least for now, right? *nervous laugh* And yessss, Kurisu extending a hand to Suzuha is so good! I loved that moment as well for all the reasons you listed, here! And yesss, I could instantly see the pipeline of “self-proclaimed mad scientist” to “resistance founder” in this, so it was really cool - and to contrast how his and Kurisu’s “future selves” end up. I will agree with as much cringe as it has, Okabe’s speaking English is such a 2010’s moment; I appreciate the flawed nostalgia it is. But yes, Okabe is a true friend - I really like the layers of his character building up over this series! And him taking all the shopping bags - he IS a good friend, after all! ;) Thank you for the comment!!
