I really enjoyed watching quite a few anime with you this year. With all my hobbies and business in life, I wasn't able to re-watch every anime with you but did watch quite a few so will limit it to my top three. Well, my top three anime for 2025 that we watched with you: 1. Apothecary Diaries (no real weakness, art, music, plot, character development...I know we differed a little on the ending) 2. Bocchi the Rock (the humor is spot on for me too and the serious side sneaks up on you through the humor. Season 2 is coming!!!!!) 3. A Place Further than the Universe (I re-watched it but did not comment like I did with #1. I related to it too, but I get sad watching for Shirase) Honorable Mention because it is still ongoing : Love is hard for an Otaku. As we talked about, its great to have a romance show with adults who share some of our hobbies. For 2026, anime that I am looking for too: 1. Frieren (season 2) 2. Apothecary Diaries (Season 3) From ones you mentioned for 2026, now series you have not seen that I am looking forward too and would recommend: 3. Youjo Senki (season 2) 4. The Angel next door spoils me rotten (season 2) I would Highly Recommend both seasons of "My Happy Marriage", but they aired in 2024 and 2025. Other ones I am personally looking forward to that are kinda fun: My farming life in another world season 2, my life reincarnated as a sword season 2 and 2.5 Dimensional Seduction. There are a lot of TBA anime I seen on the TBA section of anichart that I hope sneak into summer or fall 2026. I am sure there will be other I enjoy watching with you in the new year!

Loved this one as well! I've only watched two shows out of your top 5 so far but they just so happen to be your #1 and #2 and I like them a lot so I'm super happy they're occupying the spots they are! Also loved Arcane so glad it received an honorable mention and we of course shall never forget #jayvik. In all timelines, in all possibilities. And oh my God I AM hyped for what's to come in the next few months! Can't wait to watch JJK S3, Frieren S2 and some of the other series you talked about if I catch up to them at some point during the upcoming year. Also, you wanting to watch 10 Dance AND Heated Rivalry?! I mentioned having to check out the first one soon (in the manga/movies video's comment section) and really wanting for you to react to it but if you add another show that I've been feeling the same towards to the list... Romania, I will give you my first born. Can't wait for 2026!! Happy New Year in advance!!!

I'm hype for the new Ghost in the Shell anime coming in 2026 even though the official trailer has not been released. It's supposedly going to stay faithful to the 1989 manga by Masamune Shirow, and is going to be animated by Science Saru (Dandadan). You're no stranger to anime, but just in case you didn't already know, the 1995 Ghost in the Shell movie is also based on the original manga, and is considered to be one of the most philosophical anime ever made as well as being visually stunning even by modern standards. It was a huge cult classic when it was released on VHS in the 90s. Also, the 1995 Ghost in the Shell movie has influenced Hollywood since its released where James Cameron and Steven Spielberg are fans, and the movie was the direct inspiration for The Matrix movies (along with the Cyberpunk game and show). Steven Spielberg released a 2017 Hollywood live adaptation with Scarlett Johansson which disappointingly became a bust. Not an anime, but I'm excited for the Steins;Gate remake, and so far, there's very little details on the new visual novel.

There were so many amazing shows this year, I feel we were spoiled with them. Gosh, I just finished watching Takopi's Original Sin today, and while I like it, I don't see the "masterpiece" epiteph. It's really good, and I like that it was short and to the point, but I fear I had an overdose of sadness. Who knows, maybe I'll feel differently after my feelings cool and I let them marinate some. Dandadan was great! I love the characters a ton, and the humor of it is just perfect for me. Great action, great comedy, the best of both worlds. The show that most marked my year, though, was One Piece. I finally caught up with the anime this year (and went and caught with the manga as well) and I think I watched like 500 episode this year alone. Now that I'm caught up, I miss it a ton, so that tells me it's the show that most marked my 2025. I can't wait for the Live Action season 2 as well! Oh! Witch Hat Athelier is one I've been looking forward since a while back! I can't wait to see what it is about. And now, knowing you're also waiting for it makes me more excited! All in all, 2025 was a great year for shows, but it already seems like 2026 is coming ready to fight it on that and bring even more amazing shows to the table.

My favorite reaction series from you was Gunbuster because it's fascinating hearing your perspective and life experience highlighted on an iconic late 80's anime and I'm always fascinated from how anime fandoms were in the 90's and the limitations of technology at the time. Top 10 Anime that I watched in 2025: 1. 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Loves You Season 2 2. Orb: On the Movements of the Earth 3. Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun 4. Dealing with the Mikadono Sisters 5. Dan Da Dan Season 2 6. To Be Hero X 7. Clevatess 8. Re Zero Season 3 9. Yona of the Dawn 10. Shiki Anime I'm excited for next year: 100 Girlfriends Who Really Love You Season 3, MarriagexToxin, Tune into the Midnight Heart, Roll Over & Die, Frieren Season 2, Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun Season 4, Jojo Part 7 Steel Ball Run, Akane-banashi, Liar Game, Witch Hat Athelier, Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, and Ghost in the Shell (2026). From the anime that I know about coming out next year, my highest recommendation to keep an eye out for is MarriagexToxin. I know you already have a long series occupied by HunterxHunter, but if you were looking for a shonen replacement option for the long series poll when you catch up to HunterxHunter, Welcome to Demon School Iruma-kun would be a phenomenal option since it will already be over 70 episodes.

Clevatess was one of the surprise anime for me in 2025. I did not anticipate enjoying it as much as I did. It's always fun when that happens, I, also, am interested in Ghost in the Shell 2026. My only caveat with that is what kind of animation are we going to get. At least it doesn't look like its going to be clunky computer generate like some of the recent ones. Still, I miss the more adult looking body styles of the original movie and seasons.

Thank you so much!! Yeahhhh, those are so good! I went and looked after recording and Arcane S2 WAS in the 2024 Top 20, so that's probably why I initially didn't put it here! XD But yes, #Jayvik4Life! Yessss, there are so many shows I am excited for, and it's going to be a great year! Especially Heated Rivalry and 10 Danceeeee! hahaha!! Ooohhhhhh a new Ghost in the Shell?! That is exciting!! That might be one to get on the radar for the year! I would need to see the OG Ghost in the Shell – I know the cover and that it’s a staple of sci-fi anime – if the anime gets on the channel, I’d definitely see the OG movie and I remember the Scarlett Johansson version coming out, but assumed it was just a failed attempt to make a western adaptation of anime. We definitely were spoiled!! Thank you for your review of TOS – I agree with you – it’s not bad at all – there are parts I don’t…find as compelling as other series I’ve seen, but it’s good! But yes, not the “best anime” mentality. I loved DanDaDan as well – a great blend of things! And ahhhhh you caught up with ONE PIECE! Holy COW!!! That is a FEAT! Congratulations! I love One Piece so much and I’m Sooooooo excited for the second season of the Live Action! 😀 Yes, Witch Hat Atelier is going to be fun as well! 2025 was a great time for anime and I’m really excited for 2026! Gunbuster was SUCH a great series! I grew up watching 80’s and 90’s media so I love talking about it – the Wheel of Fate really did us good with that! Thank you for your list of your Top 10! Yona of the Dawn is soooooo good! I’m so excited to get to To Be Hero X in February! It will be here before we know it! Those others really sound great as well! That MarriagexToxin has me INTRIGUED! We shall see, bwahaha!! And thank you for the Demon School recommendation! If all goes well with the format of Hunter x Hunter (Long series separated with short series), I may start doing that more in the future with other series as well.
