So sweet! I also tend to like queer relationships in stories more than straight ones because often the author has to put more work to establish what the relationship is (not that they're inherently better or less cliché, but I just haven't seen that kind of nuance as much in straight romance). I really appreciate how this author portrayed many types of families. (I hope you are recovering well from your flu. That's the worst!)

Loved the reaction and discussion! So glad to see how much you’ve enjoyed these two sweet volumes, I adore these fools. 🥰 I wish I could say that I’ve never known people to not address their “status” for FOUR YEARS (regardless of type of couple), but alas. 😆 The way Higuchi looks like Tachibana from Cherry Magic threw me on this re-read. Most of all, I love that Mitsu was the one who was so patient and understanding with Yamato. 🥰 I think there’s also something to be said about how we perceive inexperience in terms of communication. I think Yamato’s a great example of someone who is so sweet and "positive," but actually really inexperienced with handling conflict of any kind and therefore avoidant. I love this volume for presenting a sunshine character with such realistic flaws. I also think we very often see portrayals in media of characters who outwardly are quick to express emotions we class as “negative” and have them as a result be bad at communicating, and then rarely see the opposite - as though someone being outwardly “positive” means by default that they’re able to handle every communication scenario. I really appreciate this manga for showing us this type of dynamic. That Yamato realises the fact that because he hasn't dealt with much conflict (probably by plenty people pleasing and avoidance), he also wasn't sure how to proceed after a conflict. And I also appreciate that a "fight" or an argument doesn't follow, they just talk and express their concerns and doubts and insecurities. Just beautiful presentation! Loved seeing how much these two beans have grown and healed over these two volumes. This was a wonderful pair of reactions and discussions - thank you again! 🥰 Looking forward to the next entry! 🌈

I agree 100% with you on this one! The author really did a great job putting in for this romance and displaying different types of families as well; agreed! And thank you -- I'm still getting over it a little bit, but it's MUCH better than it was here or in the week that followed! Thank you for the comment and kind words!

I am so sorry for taking SO long to get back to this comment! Thank you SO MUCH for the commission for this month - these fools were so precious and I loved their story! Honestly, watching Heated Rivalry helped me to appreciate parts of this story even more! But man – Mitsu is so patient and loving to Yamato - I agree; it was so lovely to see! That’s a REALLY good note about Yamato and how they aren’t as good at handling the conflict given his way – I love a sunshine character with realistic flaws (looking at you, Sawamura from Ace of the Diamond)! And to see someone “gloomy” like Mitsu turn into someone caring, kind, and surprisingly reliable in his positivity is really great for this series as well - and done in such a subtle, but effective, way! The way they communicated and handled their conflict was wonderful – and I really loved this series for all it gave us! I loved these beans and this manga series! Thank you for giving me an extra incentive and chance to react and get it on the channel!
