Man, this was so good that I had to watch everything that is available again! Internally screaming in a good way. Yeah, the girls fighting is hard to see. I always think of my primary school bully… our parents made us spend time together and we ended up becoming friends. I agree with you in that instead of splitting up Coco and Agott, it would have been better to have them spend time together. Well, now they have lots of time together! Let’s see what happens…. It’s a rough start with all of them though. 12 yr olds are not know for behaving mature. I will give all of them credit to Tetia for recognizing her bad behavior. Tetia knows what she did immediately. I love the art stores. I basically grew up in one! I have shopped in one since I was a teenager, it was across the street from the record store! One stop shopping! In my late teens to my early thirties, I was employed by said art supply company, just in another city. I loved it! The Starry Sword does give off those vibes. There was always small draws with even smaller things in them. Jars of paint, rolls of canvas, boards, papers of every weight, tubes of paint and isles of art books, I miss it. And we had to know how to use everything! I am getting nostalgic now… it seems to be a very warm and cozy place to do your life’s work! Oooooo, that ink over the stopper was pure perfection! I want to see that in real life! Toxic can equal medicine. We do this all the time. Heck, water is toxic. Water toxicity is a thing. Botox anyone? How about chemotherapy? It’s a fine line between toxicity and something that can heal you. Just my medical mind putting its two cents in. Favorite mythological creature for me when I was a kid was a unicorn! I went through a horse phase as all girls do, I had a wonderful book on them with different art about them. I still have it and it is falling appart! In Pursuit of the Unicorn by Josephine Bradley. I need to have it repaired. Incidentally, my profile picture is my mom reading to me from another book about mythology creatures, Fairies by Brian Froud and Alan Lee. I still have that book too! You may recognize Brian Froud as the concept artist for Labyrinth and the Dark Crystal… both childhood favorites! These are great books if you can find them. I’m going to leave my comments here as this is a two parter. I cannot wait for you to see the next episode! You will love it of course, and by now, you’ve probably seen it! Something that I adore about this episode is the coloration of the dragon. I feel like I usually see green or red dragons in the media I consume, so seeing one that's blue (with hints of purple!) was very fun for me. Also somehow I'm able to imagine what it must smell like in the Starry Sword. Parchment, ink, something woody due to the tree. It very much feels like something I'd spend hours in! It's really fun to see all the different witch robe designs in Kalhn. Everyone is unique enough that you can tell that they are all people with personalities. It makes the world feel real, as everyone would obviously have design elements they want or don't want to wear.

I have no idea if your theory about the legend of the tree being a human transformed is true to not, but it was also the first thing that came to my mind. A human who loved the witch and was transformed into the tree giving up the sap aka blood...being twisted into a legend of just a tree who loved a witch.

Very impressed that Qifrey managed to fly with two kids in his arms without going ass over teakettle. Could NOT be me lol Jokes aside though, it was cute seeing him fly with the girls Also, the brimhats being so distinct in style is such great character design to me. It really shows their lack of conformity to general witch society. And the fact that so many viewers are immediately more interested in them instead of the ‘good’ witches speaks, I think, a lot to how alluring forbidden magic is.

I could not have held those two girls in my arms for sure, so kudos to him! Maybe magic was involved? Either way, it's an adorable visual! I LOVE the Brimmed Caps design -- and yes, lack of conformity! That's such a good thing to point out! The allure of forbidden magic indeed...and maybe something else, but I'll save that for the Episode 6 intro! Thank you for the comment!! :D

The color of the dragon is something I hadn't thought of, but you're so right! I love that, too! AND YESSSSS, I was wondering how it would smell with all that wood and parchment in there as well - I would have been Qifrey 100% in there! The hyper intensity to detail with all the various witch robe designs is so cool! It definitely adds to the richness of the world building! Thank you for the comment!

Yesssss, the school bullying of it all for these kids – I agree with your parents having you and the bully spend time together – glad someone else saw the vision! But yeah, the tween drama of it all! But yeah, glad that Tetia realized she messed up. Agott’s awfully proud, though. We’ll see, eh? 😛 Art stores are SO COOL! There were never any around me, so I was envious when I’d see magazines with ads for the stores and all their supplies. That’s so cool about being EMPLOYED in one as well! I would have spent hours in the Starry Sword! Such nostalgia, right?! And yes, that ink over the stopper is so satisfying; seeing it in real life would be amazing. That is a good point about toxicity and medicine – I’m filing that away for the Episode 6 intro haha! Unicorns are really great, too! I always think of the cover of “The Last Battle” by C.S. Lewis, which had a unicorn on it - I bought it at a book fair based on that cover alone, and then realized I read the LAST Narnia book…first! XD T_T That is so cool about you having that Pursuit of the Unicorn book, though! And the Dark Crystal connection – nice! Oh, the next episode is FANTASTIC! I have lots to say! Okay, so brushbuddy being the only one to be like “heh, let me go get a responsible adult.” It may be doomed yuri, but I am shipping Agott and Coco. Agott tempering Coco and Coco brining wonder back to Agott.
