There was a "Darot" card reading for Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang in the first season of Chibi series. In C1EP5, Cheng Xiaoshi received The Clown(Fool) card in reversed position. (Qiao Ling gave a reading of The Clown card based off Chinese mythology instead of Tarot Card as she was a beginner.) Lu Guang took a look at his card, but he also shuffled his card into the deck without letting others learn about it. There are also some other cards that got flipped by wind on the table that may or may not have significance: Sun, Tower, Star, Strength, and Moon. As for EP7, I'll start by explaining some names. Link Click is called Shiguang Dailiren (时光代理人/Time-Agent) in Chinese, while Link Flick is called Shiguang Fadaoxia (时光发刀侠/Time-Knife Throwing Wanderer) in Chinese. Fadao/发刀/Knife Throwing also means giving emotional impact to the audience or physical impact to the character in the narrative. Cheng Damiao (程大秒/Cheng Big Second) is the reversed name of Cheng Xiaoshi (程小时/Cheng Little Hour, but 小时 can be considered as one word, hour). Lu An (陆暗/Lu Shadow) is the reverse of Lu Guang (路光/Lu Light). Liu Niao (刘鸟/Liu Bird) is taking the first name of Liu Xiao (刘枭) out of context, because Xiao/枭 is a rare first name and it has the meaning of defiant bird or owl. The rest of names are self-exploratory. “I show my guts to the Moon. But the Moon shines on the gutters.” is from an old Chinese opera, 琵琶记/Tale of the Pipa, “我本将心向明月，奈何明月照沟渠。” The translation itself is from the English subtitles from the movie, "天下无贼/A World Without Thieves." The image attached to the keyword "Cowherd" is derived from the story of Cowherd and Weaver. It was one of Chinese mythology about the love story of The Cowherd and the Weaver, but they're separated because the human world is different from the heavenly realm. After much effort, they were able to meet every Qixi Festival with the help of magpies on the Milky Way.

Chibi shorts!!!! Honestly, I love that this series keeps making this little chibi shorts in between seasons. They are so fun to look forward to, even if this time around they were much fewer than last time. The little animals and pets, and seeing what animal has being assigned to represent each character is probably my favorite part of this short every time. The owl was ADORABLE. I know they are not exactly supposed to be, but Vein and Liu Xiao are hilarious as a duo, specially when they are trolling poor Xia Fei xD What wasn't so hilarious was seeing how affected Xia Fei was at the sight of Vein. It does not bode well for our Time Studio duo in season 3... and I really don't want to see their friendship ruined because of this whole huge mess. The interviews with Li Haoling in the shorts are always a lot of fun. Overall, I enjoyed these shorts, though I liked the first season ones a bit better.

I’m so glad we got a few chibi shorts to have a laugh before everything becomes despair hahaha! Liu Xiao’s owl? PRECIOUS. I hope we see it in Season 3! And yes, Liu Xiao seems such the “straight man” to Vein’s eccentric over the top ways – but yeah, poor Xia Fei – leave this poor boy alone! I felt so sad that he’s this distraught about Vein’s disappearance…I just want our boy to be alright in all this! I love when an author inserts themselves into the story and it’s just ridiculous and teasing, so it works so well, here. Thank you for the comment! I think both are fun, but I’m just ready to be back into the story!!
