There is a very popular theory about Wreck being Graffiti King. The base of Graffiti King's costume is the same as Wreck’s, down to his diamond, arm shields and shoulder coverings. Wreck’s name in chinese is translated King of Destruction, hence the crown(that Graffiti King seems to also wear). Graffiti King has a broken heart on his suit. Wreck being considered dead only to come back in the episode where Nice also comes back is also pretty in character for them. There is probably an connection between X and Wreck, since Micky seems to consider it an important relationship to note down. X or Wreck getting inspired by each other's powers seems in character for both of them. Micky is also Graffiti King's boss. In Queen's second episode, there is a graph that shows X's known relationships. It also includes the villain he fights in the second op, the hero that he gets help from(named Nine), Rock and Wreck. We even see a flash of Wreck in the second OP, after she pulls the first card(the Fool). They are also both sword fighters.

I love Little Big Johnny’s song! I haven’t watched any of the background stories or the character songs! Except for X of course…. What a wild ride! So Husbands first language is Mandarin, but I generally don’t ask him to translate stuff. He doesn’t watch this with me and so everything would e out of context…. It’s a long story to try to explain. So the miss translation part was wonderful! That really changed some scenes totally! Ok, found Little Johnny’s music on iTunes….. it’s added to my commute playlist!😭❤️

Oh, this was a lot of fun! Those translation errors were crazy. The one that shocked me the most is the Boa one. While it doesn't really affect the larger plot the idea that she went through all that trouble to become a hero is crazy. Old E-Soul is so cool, and his PV is my favorite one, probably. I need to know more about his realitionship with Zero because it did look like there was more to it than him simply being the guy that delivered the final blow against him. My theory about Zero, or at least my understanding of things, is that he was the first hero, of course, and at first it seems that only Trust value had being discovered, and then something happened and he ended up killing another hero, likely by some mistake or accident, and suddendly people stared being scared of him and created/permitted Fear to come into play and take control of Zero. It's not much of a theory, really, but just the way things flowed there is super interesting to me. And it brings some interesting questions for me, like, can we blame people who are infected with Fear for their actions? How much control over it do they have? Was Zero in control or was he just the personification of people's fears without much say into how they affected him in the same way that all the top ranking heroes end up crippled in one way or another, shackled by the people's belief in them and the reasons they trust in them to be heroes? My favorite characters songs are Little Johnnies in first place, followed by Ahu's. Then we have X's and Nice's in close 3rd and 4th places. All the other ones are nice, but those are my absolute favorites. Fun fact, Nice's song, Paragon, and the OP song, Inertia, were compossed by Attack on Titan's Season 1 to 3 composser Hiroyuki Sawano, who is one of my favorite compossers. That first trailer with X's fight saving Ahu is so freaking cool. It is crazy that they had that figured out since 2023. I remember watching the trailer when it first came out and being so hyped for this show, and it did not disappoint once it finally came out.

The Johnnies' song is soooo good! I really love some of these character songs and I agree; the extra on the mistranslation was so interesting! Translation is such an art form and I really enjoy it! Thank you for the comment! :D

Oohhhhhh, the outfit DOES look a lot like Wreck’s! Oohhhh - the crown too! Wow, I really hope that it’s Wreck so that we can have him and Zombie Nice be the ultimate doomed yaoi pairing! PLEASE! I also really need to know how X and Wreck are connected! I love all these connections you have made - thank you for that and the comment - I cannot WAIT to see what we get with this series in season 2 and this helped to hype me up EVEN MORE!!

I loved this so much! The translation errors - especially the BOA ONES - were wild! I really think that they help clarify some things in the series! I need more with Old E-Soul – his PV was my favorite as well! Seriously, that backstory with Zero sounds so intriguing! I’m really excited to see how Zero, trust, and fear are all handled in Season 2! I am so fascinated by the mystery with Zero! I love Ahu and the Johnnies song!! X and Nice have great songs as well! That’s so cool about Sawano do some of those; he’s such an amazing composer!! I just love the trailer with X and Ahu as well – thank you for your comment! And now my TBHX watch begins!

I feel like how the future narratives will be influenced by the Bilibili voting on top of the ensemble narrative is a risky and bold attempt for a Chinese Donghua, because the 3D animation is favored over the 2D animation by major production companies in China as 3D animation generates more revenue. The fan-driven interactive devices like the PVs, the merch and the voting are served as a part of this interactive "sports" animation where the audiences can act as the fans in-universe who are cheering, funding, and powering up their preferred gladiators for the next round. OG Nice has his own theme song, "Light in the Shadows," but Lin Ling has already used most of the footage for "Nice," so OG Nice didn't have a dedicated MV. His song was only published with the show's full OST some time after the show has finished (and therefore no one has made a lyrics video for his song), while the other top 10 heroes had their theme songs published as singles as their own episodes aired. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CsdpJ2F9jQ Lyrics: Waking up, today is shining bright I see the light, |'m kinda yawning I'm out to meet the quys at a spot that we keep outta sight And we decided to break all the rules It's something that will never suit us, right We gonna keep on living cool The sun is seen in the remainings of the rain If my shoes get a stain, I get a scolding again Grown-ups say, you better care for your own possessions They never get the notion, freedom is my obsession So what about it I'm living flowy A little bit of folly I know they'll point it out again, but l ain't saying sorry I just write a note about the future that I wanna live When I perceive that their codes always trick and deceive I'm trying to live a life of luxury Carefree, like the cat that never has to worry Oh yeah Do your homework is what the grown-ups say? But no way, today I wanna live like it 's a game It's a light in the shadows The dream that I follow My passion overflows more than anything that l know Adults in the dark Lost sight of the spark I ain't trying to grow if my flame will depart Light in the Shadows The dream that I follow My passion overflows more than anything that l know Afraid of the dark Hold tight on the spark I ain't trying to grow if my flame will depart

It definitely is RISKY to base a plotline on a poll – I’m curious to see how it fares for Season 2! I like it as a “meta” connection to the “Trust Value” of the series, so it’ll be interesting to see if Li Haolin finds a way to use it effectively for the second season. And ahh, thank you for that link to YouTube and the information with Lin Ling and Nice! The idea of “breaking all the rules” and meeting outta sight are….INTERESTING suggestive lyrics. Hm. And that idea of adulthood = freedom hits so much harder for NIce once he realizes how the “adult world” around him is… Hm. A “light in the shadows” is also interesting. Thank you for all of that and the comment! I appreciated getting to read that and see the insight with Nice! :D
