To think the finale is finally here 😭 Such a good ep, such a good season. SO excited for s2, but,, time for the Ova’s first :P I... think that you can start reading the novel. As long as it’s only part 1. Obviously. But the likelihood of you finishing that before you check out the OVAs is kinda low… or who knows if you get obsessed with it and devour the whole book in 2 nights. Nothing’s impossible. BUT!!! Just so you know, there’s one scene in the book that was rearranged into the OVA. But in my opinion, I don’t think it matters if you see it in OVA or on your own in the novel. So take it at your own risk. Sherlock Moriarty, Klein’s such a shipper :p. And yes, the fanbase calls him Klein, regardless of his alias as Sherlock. But hey, now I can talk about this with you. How this whole season, you have been the ONLY one to understand my thought process, with you reminding us through all the episodes that Daly likes corpses more than men, which is my dunndaly copium. Nobody else wants to think about it though… Only you. Ohhhhh, miniupdate reviews. I'm so excited :D Let’s see if they will stay as “mini” as you think. Hohohooo!! Or well, a girl can dream, can’t I? In my opinion, this arc is SUCH a perfect prologue. Like it had a very great introduction to the world, a million bit of setup for future content and yet it ended in a really satisfying way. I feel like the arc closed at a good stopping point. See ya in two weeks for OVA part 1 :p !!

Wait until after the OVA. It's an important plotline in the novel... though I guess part 1 of Clown is fine to read atp Also just a side note. Every time you see the red glow of the moon symbol, that's the Evernight Goddess helping out. She is the true Sugar Mommy after all, and her church is just her sugar babies.

While the order and some minor details of the individual events are changed for the Donghua, (counting the OVAs when taken together as a whole as episode 10.5,) Season 1 + the OVAs covers every major plot relevant event in "Volume 1: The Clown". Thankfully Seasons 2-4 each will have double the number of episodes, allegedly, so fewer events will have to be simplified or compressed, and the things that do get compressed will be in the special episode OVAs between each season. Looking forward to you watching the OVAs because they cover my favorite arc of "Volume 1: The Clown." Also, f*** the Author's Quill. That damn pen is a menace and, as you can see, he can write without a wielder too. He's a level of cruel beyond words. Note: You called it right. Ince was so desperate to advance to Sequence 4 that he did all of this to move from Death 5 (Corpse Collector 5) to Evernight 4 (Sleepless 4) at the risk of going insane faster. However, the "How?" of it will make more sense when you read the novel, because the novel explains the "how." As for "why?" it was possible for Ince to do it........(HEAVY SELF-CENSOR FOR A CERTAIN MAJOR PLOT POINT.)

The Clown arc inludes season 1 and the OVAs. So the Clown arc is almost over, and the next arc is called something different. The name is given at the end, because the story started as an online serial story. The story as a whole was just Lord of Mysteries, and when the story gets to this point, there's an author's note telling that the chapters so far are the Clown arc / part of the whole bigger story. So while now with the donghua and the physical books the story is divided into sections beforehand, in the web novel, these names only come after you've reached the end. Many of your unanswered questions are things readers of the novel also had when they reached this part of the story. As you've probably noticed, this story gives incomplete information for both us and our viewpoint characters. The book sometimes does this differently from the donghua, so some of the things that are mentioned in the book are left out in the show, and some things mentioned in the show are left out in the book. Even if you put the two together, there are many things unknown at this part of the story. You wrote a beautiful list of questions, but almost all of them have been left open. The Return of the Count is a play by the great explorer Roselle, who was also an inventor, an artist, a painter, and an author. It's his plagiarized version of Count of Monte Cristo, because of course he does that. Lord of Mysteries isn't a danmei. You'll have to read it and write your own fanfiction, I'm afraid.

What a wonderful cruel Finale we ended up season 1 with … I can’t say how much i love this episode .. it hurts, but it hurts so good We never got any indication about what azik’s sequence. He seems like a high sequence of the Death (corpse collector) pathway but that’s all we know as of now. We heard the scribbling of the quill at the beginning of every ED since ep 1… the quill writing all these coincidences, making them logical and granting Ince help to achieve his goal 😭😭 i hate that stupid pen I can’t express the pain i felt the first time i watched it , as i haven’t dived in the novel yet at the time .. you bet that , just like you, by the end of the episode i ve decided that i ll be reading lotm novels 😂 Dunn’s sacrifice, his protection of his subordinates / friends and the people of Tengen is so heartbreakingly beautiful… a man among men , a true protector … A man that mutters the name of his beloved at death door making it the ultimate goodbye of two people that were meant to be but weren’t able to .. i just love the pain of it so much… Rest easy Captain Dunn Smith, you will never be forgotten And your ducklings are set on avenging you .. Another detail that i absolutely loved is Klein bowing 3 times before Dunn’s s grave paying his respects to his mentor in the most traditional his chinese way as Zhou Mingrui.. it shows how Klein cared for him but also that Zhou is there still.. he maintained his existence and conscience as Zhou not only as Klein. And yes as Trukk Said, we call him Klein even if he change his name to Sherlock.. (I love the modern nerd in him with the references 😂) That clown smile was the saddest thing in this episode.. he desguised as a clown to be able to say a final goodbye to his siblings, he is aware that he can’t be with them now but we can see how he grew attached to them and developped real siblings feelings for them.. it hurts my soul to see him force that smile for them when he is grieving the separation with them inside 😭😭 This was an absolute masterful epilogue of the story.. Now time for the OVAs, i can’t wait for you to discover them The part 1 (the first one i sent) is safe to read now even if you didn’t see the OVAs yet.. for part 2 and 3 better wait after you finish watching them As usual, amazing reaction and discussion to this beautiful finale
