*FULL THROTTLE HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

We're tackling the first inning this episode and the pacing, the action, the surprises (that I forgot about), and the pressure and hype kick up to "full throttle" this episode -- this game is so much fun so far!

So many good things in this episode lol I honestly also forgot about Mima texting Miyuki lol I love every time we get to see him but I do think they were trying to avoid having to pay voice actors if it wasnt necessary so Mima gets the cut for now. The fact that TJ doesnt think hes capable of making a game that tops this one... insane honestly. Hes way too humble and needs to realize how amazing he actually is at storyboarding and planning out games. Especially after the past few years of him watching baseball as a fan. SAWAMURA REALLY DOESNT KNOW HOW INSANE HIS ARSENAL IS DOES HE? God damn lol like what do you mean "Mei's arsenal is crazy" Mr. 11 WORKING PITCHES. I need to know how embarrassed Haruichi was as a first year when they assigned him "cutie honey" for his song lol. He was definitely bright red. Shirasus song is so cool. Im so glad we're getting to hear more of them in this game. I dont remember the translation but its something assassin if I remember correctly which is just so fitting for our white laser. I think Seki definitely jinxed Miyuki with playing Lupin III right out the gate. We need to warm up to it first lol. Give him a few at bats and then when its peak game, then its time to play it. I forgot that Mei sang the song with the crowd and I was so pleasantly surprised by the fact that he sang it so low! I was expecting a higher pitch but it sounded so much creepier and intimidating when it was low like that lol. I genuinely think Carlos is one of the flirting characters in this series cuz why was I considering shipping him and Miyuki just in that one scene? Ugh his voice is just so silky and sultry. As per usual, Sanada shows up looking absolutely gorgeous and theres nothing the rest of us can do about it. Like wow.... if only he wasnt a Gemini 😔 I think its interesting to note that Inashiro seems so Mei focused while Seidou is SEIDOU focused because it also shows in the preparation for this game and the general coaching styles. We didnt see Kunitomo on the field with Inashiro, playing and prepping with the team, but we saw Kataoka out there. It almost moves into the same way that Kunitomo does always have his nose up. Like he thinks the coaches position is only there to tell the kids what to do and expect them to be good at it where Kataoka wants to get in there and show them. I think part of Meis relationship with Lupin is also that its related to Tetsu. He had a ton of respect for Tetsu and he was one of the only players on Seidou that have gotten repeated hits off him so he knows that song very well. Sooooo excited for next week, I remember one of the scenes lol
