Commento BABY SUN!!! Is officially here now!! I mean, we saw him once before, but I was like 🤫maybe I'll wait until OVA to talk about him. xD Because it’s not like we get ANYTHING about him from his quick cameo in s1. He’s a lil baby. When I read the novel, my little brother was the same age as Derrick is at the start of the story. (14!!) And it, really kept some things in perspective. My Tarot would be the World. The completion, fulfilment, etc. I even got a Dagaz rune tattooed on me. Dagaz is a rune that’s kinda seen as the “rune equivalent” of “The World” from tarot, since both are about the same thing. I mean, “2000 years I’d regroup and strategise” is fair, but I wonder if they can. Because I think in this amount of time, they (hopefully) have tried everything they can think of, and they must be doing *something* right at least since they have managed to survive this far. And if their current plan seems to be “stay alive” first and “explore the nearby lands.” I don’t think there’s much else one can do in this kind of situation. Taken how long the city has existed for, I would give them at least *some* credit that maybe, they have tried other solutions. If not the council, then somebody. I don’t know, I could see a cult doing it’s thing for like 100-300 years, but longer than that, there HAS to be some rebels/brave people who have wanted to do things their way. It’s unlikely that they’re correct in everything, but I do also think it’s unlikely that they have everything incorrect. Also, I agree. It gets cult-ty AF to blame deity for all of your problems. But if your issue is a literal sun being gone. Who else can you blame? You probably can’t go and blame your neighbour for the monsters surrounding your city. Unless I am that neighbour, haha. Ha. “Just leave, build a boat” Well. Taking that in the Old’ Neil’s lesson, we saw that the forsaken land of the gods is a whole continent. To get to an edge, (unless you’re already at the edge) it could take from weeks to months. Maybe over a year if we take into account time spent fighting monsters and hiding from them. (and food, they only got grass that probably takes a long to grow, aka it only grows at home and it likely goes bad after some time) And then, getting a boat + learning to use it + doing a blind travel into an open ocean without even knowing for sure that there’s anything there. I don’t think it’s fair to say that they can leave. Technically yes, but so many complications it nulls all the changes. In my books Old Berg’s attitude was probably the best/most feasible. Wait and hope for divine miracles. At least in LOTM world that doesnt seem impossible xD. Anyways, Poor baby Derrick. 🥹He’s my son, all my love to him. Also, I realised that my comment ended up being a really much, uhh a bit contrarian(?) To your thoughts abd opinions ( If thats a proper word for it ??? ) and thus the tone of the comment may cone across a bit too "correcting" which is not my intention!! So i just want to press that these are just my toughts and I really like exploring all sorta possibilities since i think Derricks home is a really interesting place!!! (Its my kinda dystopia lol. Im really normal about it. And i do not ever overthink anything about the place.) Anyways, excited for ova 2 :3

Derrick is 14 or 16 at this point in the story, (cant clearly remember), and so, The Sun is called Little Sun for most of the Series. Poor Derrick. The Forsaken Land of the Gods is really grimdark in the most literal sense. And to dispel your fears of a Cult, the curse is very real. Stay tuned for details of the curse. It's effed. The land is extremely Cursed. Dark Souls and Elden Ring levels of Cursed. Your tarot card appears in [Severe Extreme Self-Censor] and is hilarious. [Self-Censor] is a good egg. My tarot Card is the Magician and [mild pronoun self-censor] arc is my 3rd favorite overarching arcs in the series, next to the Sun and Moon's Arcs respectively.

Yea... I did have to go straight to the novel after the end of season 1 when I watched it about a year ago xD. Derrick is 14! And yes, so precious! Secret Suppliant isn't about locating/bringing supplies. A suppliant is someone who asks, begs or prays for something (like mercy, forgiveness, help or a favor), usually from someone of power/authority. You can say that makes a Secret Suppliant the beyonder version of your average religous person. How does it fit with the Shepherd now for you? Tbh, in my opinion, the Secret Suppliant is the freakiest... or a better word might be the most revolting pathway. You got the guy running out the library and going cray-cray, Vincent who eats his own fingers and rips out his arm, and Lovia now who eats people in general and with her arms bubbling over. It's cool and strong, but also eww... xD
