After reading Slam Dunk, Inoue-sensei's 90's sports Shonen, I begin his second basketball-themed manga: Real!

Despite featuring some of Inoue's tropes: Gorgeous artwork, a delinquent (somewhat) protagonist, and basketball as the center anchor, this series is MUCH darker, more mature, and dealing with a lot of heavier themes already! Plus, this trio of main characters I feel are three I'm going to get REALLY attached to in this series!

It's an amazing manga so far and I'm only one volume in! This is going to be a wild ride!

Thank you for reading with me and for the support!

I read this series like 15 years ago so your reaction brought back my memory. This is such a good manga with very realistic but also dramatic storyline and character development. Not have to say about Inoue-sensei's gorgeous artwork. You will love Kiyoharu more when you learned about his back story!

I can't believe he's been ongoing with this series for nearly 15 years! I am really liking it so far and am interested in seeing where it goes! And yessss, I'm so excited to delve into these characters' backstories!! Especially Kiyoharu! Thanks for the comment!
