I officially love Kija (I'll get his name right next episode) and his dynamic with Hak, Yona, and Yun! And him being on par with Hak?! I'm ALL for it!

This episode was fantastic in terms of animation, action, all the flirting, emotional development, and theories about the dragon's blood and what's really Kija's emotions vs. the White Dragon's! Lots of great things set up and we're almost to the Blue Dragon already, it seems!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

Kija is so precious but so very scary when he fights, besides Hak he's probably the strongest and maybe the most loyal in the group (so far) but you can definitely tell just by the way he talks and holds himself. You're definitely right, all his life Kija has been told what his duty is and he built up this image of what protecting the king would be like and that the king could count on him completely but right now he realized he can only lend his strength and a vague sense of where the other dragons are. He'll feel better once the other dragons show up. Ah, the blue dragon! So close! I can't wait, I adore him so much and he would probably be my favorite if not for the yellow dragon but I have such a soft spot for blue. The next few episodes are some of the best in my opinion, it's gonna be fun!

I love that Hak and Kija bicker, but they're probably the most similar to each other -- both really loyal, physically strong, and loud, haha! I like the idea that Kija will feel better when the other dragons arrive! And ahhh, having watched a little ahead, I have to say that the blue dragon has wormed his way into my heart...I'm a sucker for a precious cinnamon roll character and he fits the bill to a "T" so far! YES! The next episodes are SO GOOD! I can't wait! Thank you for the kind words and comment!

Hak and Yona are like a couple where both of them have their own side harems. (I just came up with this during the last hour as I was trying to find a way to explain my multishipping, while still making clear that hakxyona is the superior one) (the more I keep rewatching, the more I'm starting to doubt the superior ship (╥﹏╥) I don't wanna doubt the superior ship) I love Kija a lot. He's just so pure and innocent. now rewatching, he seems even purer than I remembered.

Hahahaha, oh, Hak x Yona is my main flagship, but I'm a multishipper, too, so I'm fine with these other ones popping up, now! ^^ And yesss, Kija is so innocent and funny -- I love how serious he takes his role, kind of like Hak does as well. :)

Now, I’m all for Hak & Yona - they’re end game for sure. But…rivals to lovers Hak & Kija XD Honestly, Hak is just so shippable as you can already tell ;) I don’t know if anyone addressed the OP change thing with you, but from what I remember (I watched Yona when it was being broadcasted), I think it changes to the darker yet vibrant one for when they focus on the legend of the four dragons. But then I think they decided to just keep the darker/vibrant one instead of the first original one. It’s been so long, I really can’t remember if this is true or not so don’t quote me on that. But I really love the instrumental OP, it just fits the anime sooooo well. Kija is such a sweetheart - he’s just trying his best. His interactions with Hak are hilarious, and I can’t wait until you see how their relationship as frenemies grows from here on out. Next ep is the Blue Dragon, and, oh boy, I can’t wait to see your reaction for him. And I won’t say anything else in fear of spoilers. Man, it’s just so nostalgic for me to watch these episodes with you. Seeing how everything started, and where they are currently in the manga…it warms my heart to see how far they’ve all come. So glad you’re enjoying and appreciating it!

Oh, that's great! I won't discuss anything until the episode is out but I'm glad you love him!

Hahahaha, right?! Hak x Yona is an OTP for me, buttttt, the "rivals to lovers" Hak and Kija ship is enticing! Hahah, Hak is just perfect and shippable with all; end of story. :) Ooooh, that would make sense with the OP change and then they just went with it, haha! I love the instrumental OP, too! It just fits the style of this show so well. And, having watched a little ahead, I can say that the Blue Dragon has my heart and I can't wait to talk about his backstory with you all starting next week! Thank you for not spoiling me, though! Ahhhh, I am so excited for the manga!! I cannot WAIT to get to it! Thank you for the kind word and comment!!!

I absolutely adore Kija. And as I've rewatched and reread throughout the years, I continue to find more things I love about him. You were spot on when it comes to his insecurities. Kija definitely wants to feel useful because that was how he was brought up to see himself as a child. If the 'King' did show up in his lifetime, his purpose would be to serve them. So to see everyone else have more of an overall impact on the group dynamic, while he struggles to get used to leaving his village, it's understandable why he feels so frustrated at first 🥺 It's only through your reactions that I've actually heard about the Hak and Kija ship. So I've never thought about it before. I agree that Yona and Hak are pretty much shippable with (almost) everyone though. 😂 Now that I think about it, I can see where everyone is coming from. I'm excited to see your reaction to the Blue Dragon. He's such an amazing addition to the cast. And I love that we'll start to see the relationship between the dragons. I have a soft spot for sibling relationships. And this manga does not disappoint. Thank you for the reaction! Looking forward to next time as always :))

Yessss, Kija is such a great character already! I'm so excited to see how his character develops in the show and the manga! And you are so right -- Yona and Hak are shippable with literally every character in this show! I'm glad I've been able to bring up the crack ship of Kija and Hak to the fandom, haha!! Oohhhh, I'm so excited to see the relationships with the dragons develop and oooh, I can say I LOVE the Blue Dragon so far. I'm so excited to talk with you all about him! Thank you for the kind words and comment!

I loved that we got to see that Kija is a character that thinks with his heart and is really sincere. I adore him. The parallels they showed between him and Yona were wonderful. They both want to be helpful to the people they care about. They both are trying their best. Let's be honest there isn't anyone who doesn't simp for Hak. XD Actually my favourite ship is one with Kija. I'll let you know when we get to it. Shows that are selfaware about the character designs and make jokes about it are the best. They really animated Kija so pretty this episode. They gladly can continue doing that. I'm so excited for everything that happens in the anime. But I'm also already ready to see your reactions to the manga even though we aren't there yet. XD It has been a while since I watched/read the start and to see how the characters and their dynamic developed is interesting and pretty nostalgic. Wish you a wonderful day!!

Yessss, I like the parallels of Kija and Yona as characters thinking with their hearts that are just trying to help others out! And seriously, we all simp for Hak, right?! XD Oooh, thank you for not spoiling, but I'm excited to see that ship take shape! Kija just looked beautiful this episode; the lighting the expressions -- I'm here for it! And yessss, I of course am excited for the rest of this season, but knowing the story keeps on going? Has me even more excited! :) :) Thank you for the kind words and have a wonderful day, too!
