**SEXILY WITH A JACKET HEADPHONE WARNING**

The tension ramps up to an ELEVEN as we have explosions, escapes, and Detective Hange is trying to sort out the mysterious past and figure out where this all went awry!

But no worries; Eren's eight-pack may be the key to solving the world's conflict, so let's negotiate! But again, "easier said than done," right? Because the wheel is turning, Gabi and Falco are closer to Niccolo, and guess what? PIECK & CO. ARE ALREADY THERE. **nervous laugh**

Eren makes me want to get real dramatic when I’m alone and say “Tatakae” in the mirror No reason to look THAT GOOD bro 😩😩😩 save me from that man

Sacha

“Do you know how to tell a good lie? Sometimes, you’ve gotta mix the truth into it” REMEMBER THESE WORDS This part of the story is definitely a head scratcher. At the time I had a clear idea in my head of what was actually bubbling under the surface, particularly with Eren. As even though Eren is definitely the enigma of this story currently I think there are things that we can trust with him completely. There are clues and groundwork that Isayama has left us with. But of course hindsight is wonderful thing and I’m just a manga reader who is delighting in anime-only pain 😂 Again can’t talk about Zeke (god I’m going to rejoice when I can!) and his agenda at the moment but people can change their minds. 😄 Just because you did something in your childhood (Zeke was seven) doesn’t mean you can’t change your mind or regret what you did. It just kinda made me laugh anytime you mention that you’re weirded out by Zeke who is ‘just doing what Grisha did’ Zachary I believe was just never going to fully listen to Mikasa and Armin so that’s why he dismissed them so abruptly. As we found out that the decision was made already to dispose of Eren. I don’t really think he knew he was going to be blown up. I think the comment about storage was just a front because in a sick way I think he was planning to use it on ‘someone’ and that’s why it was brought up to his room. I really ain’t going to miss that shit machine. If AOT was ever going to be critiqued for being ‘edgy’ for the sake of being ‘edgy’ that that fucking shit machine would be the no.1 example. 🤢 Give your heart is just another way of translating devote your hearts. If you watch you can hear it’s the exact same phrase ‘Shinzo sasageyo’. What a great commentary on how nationalism is soo twisted sometimes. How symbols and phrases can become and mean something else entirely. What a cruel legacy for Erwin’s character. I think you forget that the survey corps always had abs 😄 Even at 15 they all had abs. Cut back to Eren in the chapel, Armin when he comes out his Titan for the first time and many other manga and official art examples. Don’t forgot the ODM training was real intense. So the eight pack really isn’t that ridiculous for Eren at 19. You should see how hot and pretty Eren is the manga in the post timeskip time . Mappa don’t really do him that much justice vs the manga bizarrely. It’s funny you’re against simping for Eren. 😄 The manga crowd has had these grown up characters for over 4 years now so you can imagine the state of the fandom with all this. 😄 I’ll just be over here simping for my best boy Armin because Mappa has been feeding me soo good lately. Just watching the end of discussion and I’m kinda shocked that you think Eren doesn’t care about Armin and Mikasa. I get that Eren is confusing right now but still. All I’ll say is there can be other alternatives to not speaking to them right now or confiding in them or telling them the truth. Honestly if he didn’t care about them at all then it’s character assassination. Anyway I’m very excited for what’s to come for you and watch your further descent into madness as you try an grasp what’s really going on … Good Luck!

Yeah mappa didn't do eren that much justice, he looks majestic in the manga especially post time skip. Also I agree with him not caring if zachrey dying considering he already wanted to feed Eren.

john ross
>>77939478

Also your point about it being character assassination for Eren if he dosen't care about his comrades and his friends is true considering he never frogets the soldiers who died for him even until now, so to say that he does not care about mikasa and armin is jarring to say the least.

Maia Brodsky

Just a reminder that Zeke was in Marley 10 months ago. So for him to be at that meeting with Eren and Yelena, it would have meant sneaking over to Paradis and back without Marley noticing. It would also kind of defeat one of the purposes of attacking Liberio (getting Zeke to the island). If he was on Paradis 10 months ago, he could have just stayed there.

romaniablack
>>77946977

Oh yeah, I never thought he was on Paradis during that meeting he went over there with Eren & Co. at the end of Episode 8 -- sorry if the discussion made it seem that way. I was referring more to communication between Yelena and Eren. :)

Maia Brodsky
>>77946977

Just wanted to make sure, since you mentioned there may have been other people there and I thought you might have been alluding to Zeke.

romaniablack
>>77946977

No worries! Thanks for mentioning it -- my brain goes to mush during these post-reaction discussions so I could have said that, too! Hahaha!

romaniablack
>>77938776

Hahahaha, I just see baby Eren from "Bystander" and want to pat Carla on the shoulder and say, "No worries, your son will be a lady killer....literally." :P But yeah, it's jarring to see him GROW UP. @_@

Nyjae

Omg not Burger King crowned Floch with his Chicken Fingers in the background!!😂😂😂😂I can't lol the thumbnail is beautiful & yes it's the Thumbnail to most people's reactions to this episode😂😂😂Rightfully so!😂Amazing shot indeed but things are getting intense. Poor Armin & Mikasa just want to talk to Eren, Eren wants to find Zeke, the Scouts/The people are at eachother throats. The scouts are losing faith in Eren. Pyxis is like EREN WE SURRENDER lol smart move tho cuz now is not the time to fight amongst eachother especially when Pieck & them are there already like....💀I'm Hange this episode lol like I need a breather with this. RIP Zachary. Armin & Mikasa saving eachother we love it!💙 Armin talkin to Annie lol the shippers went crazy with this one when Armin just wants more information😂Hitch does look really different but that fiery personality is still there. Gosh Marlo I miss him!! The chess pieces are layed out now where will they go. This season just consists of you trying to deny Eren's hotness throughout😂😂😂😂It's too funny cuz we acknowledge it but yea he still like a baby to us since we watch him grow but I mean I'm not complaining😂💙He's a man now (No way am I betraying King Jean he's everything to me!⭐ Then Reiner & then Eren lol Armin & Eren always switch around for me tho cuz Armin is so pure & Loveable whereas Eren be scary sometimes😂too intense for me but I love him) The amount of people saying I'M A JAEGARIST NOW!! Purely on watching Eren walking in the sunset shirtless alone kills me everytime!😂Mappa knew what they were doing for sure & no I am not a Jaegarist lol I don't support Burger King Crowned Floch either no way!💀🏃🏽‍♂️

Be Happy

Hi there Romania, Thanks for mentioning my Twitter comment, it’s always a pleasure to talk to you here or in Twitter. Well let’s see, Chad Eren glow up hits you full force as the rest of us.. this last 10 months since Yelena talked to him have done him good 😁 Wonderful reaction as always and very interesting discussion.. some very spot on points and some not but I am letting you discover which ones are by yourself because this is the beauty of this show. The only thing I am gonna discuss here is Zakary. If you go back to ep5 S03, that discussion between Zakary and Erwin shows that the premier isn’t that selfless.. other thing is that he was looking at candidates to eat Eren when the explosion occurred so if he was for the cause , he wouldn’t allow the power transfer to happen or even nurse the idea of it. I am so impatient to watch you finish this part one, that will blow your mind and may drain you a bit.. and to start freaking part 2 that is absolute insanity (yes, way way more that part 1)

romaniablack
>>78017725

Oh, no worries! And SERIOUSLY, I was not ready for the glow up Eren went through -- it's knocked the wind out of me to be sure! Thank you for the kind words and comment! And thank you for not spoiling me either! I'm SO ready for the surprises to come, though I'm also terrified of them! That's a good note about Zachary, too -- I'm glad you brought it up! And the fact that Part 2 is more insanity than this?! **nervous laughter** I am SO not ready for it! But thank you for the comment and kind words!

romaniablack
>>77939478

@John, that's a good point -- I do think Eren cares about Armin and Mikasa -- maybe "too much" as Mikasa notes....him not talking with them and vice versa is killing me in this, though...but I guess we'll see what ends up happening, eh? :) Thanks for the comment!

cw

Hey Romania, great discussion. Things are really falling apart on Paradis... And please be careful on your channel for a while. Some disgruntled people might show up, and some of them love to spoil others, or ruin their fun in other ways.

romaniablack
>>78070968

Hey! Thank you for the kind words! No joke...things are just breaking down and my heart is, too! And thank you for the heads up! I've noticed with season 4, there's been more negativity in the comments section -- which makes sense, because this season is all about testing us as the audience with where we stand in all these characters' decisions! Everyone's been super kind about being polite in helping to keep spoilers away, so hopefully that'll continue, but I appreciate it so much!

cw
>>78070968

Personally, I love the last third of AoT and think it's the strongest part, but I can absolutely understand people who prefer Return to Shiganshina - post-basement it's a very different show, and people who loved one will not necessarily love the other as well. There's all sorts of fandom drama going on, but it's probably better to wait until you're further along to talk about it, just to make sure there's no spoilers. Saturday should be fun :)

romaniablack
>>78070968

I feel the same! I love Pre-Basement AOT, but this season (as heartbreaking and frustrating as it is) might be my favorite so far! So much drama!! But thank you for not spoiling, and HA HA HA HA...Saturday may be one of my favorites so far. I can't wait, either.

romaniablack
>>77939478

I have a feeling I’m going to be quoting Pyxis’s words a lot in this. @_@ And YES, I’m getting a “clearer” (maybe) idea of Eren’s headspace in this episode with re-watching the last…but it’s still…heartbreaking. Ha, more on that later in future reactions. But still, I feel when I re-experience the series with the manga, it’ll be interesting! And I’ll have a new perspective with it! I know how it feels to be a manga reader and delighting in the anime-only’s pain…but now that it’s on the other foot…. :P Hahahahahaha, oh, Zeke will eventually be fun to talk about. I feel Eren/Zeke/Grisha are just basements in themselves, aren’t they? That is a good point about regret, but yeah, I need to get more on Zeke before I can say anything else. 😊 Zachary is a bizarre character in all this; a scoundrel who isn’t inherently…malicious…but one with questionable motives. I liked his character but we get just enough about him to know he’s shady…so that makes sense. The “Devote Your Hearts” line takes on such a twisted meaning, here…yeah, not happy with how it flies against Erwin’s character and how HE used it…but hey, anything and anyone can be angelic or demonic…if we just BELIEVE in it, eh? @_@ HA! I mean, Lobov clearly wasn’t working hard enough, because where’s his 8-pack?! :P But I am excited to see Eren and the others post-timeskip in the manga! 😊 It’s not that I’m AGAINST simping for Eren…it’s just weird seeing him as a baby and now he’s hot. Plus, he DID look a bit terrifying in Ep 10 against Hange. It’s like watching someone you grew up with that is now hot. At least Levi and Erwin were adults from the start….hahaha! But seriously, Armin and Jean look great too post timeskip, so there’s that. I’m ready for Mappa to feed us with Armin content. 😊 And I guess I’m not articulating my thoughts in the discussion well…I DO think that Eren cares for Armin and Mikasa…but he’s very confusing right now in avoiding talking to them and involving them in his plans. BUT, I’ve thought about it since Episode 13, where I’m at so far, and in EP 14 I’m going to talk more about why I think that is…so…yeah. I’ll get there, haha! But yeah, next episode I’m diving down the madness chute, so here we go, eh? Thank you so much for the kind words and comment! 😊 And for wishing me luck!

Nyjae

Omg so remember you said Isayama sees himself as Armin. YouTube just put this video on my feed. I am shook. Here's Isayama's quick interview: https://youtu.be/eCbH8WlciXI I actually got teary eyed because Armin is that person we look up to & has the right ideals. He's what we'd want to be but Eren is like that hard truth that we all have sometimes. Isayama always challenging our views omg. I always wanted to find the interview of when he talks about Armin too when you mentioned it last time & then this popped up for me.

You can tell I don't eat a lot of fast food when I'm struggling to think of Burger King menu items, hahahaha! Louise is officially "Chicken Fries" in my mind, though. I can see why anyone would choose that shot of Eren for this episode; it's pretty iconic! Everything is falling apart on Paradis, and Marley isn't even there, yet! Well...or...the attack hasn't even happened yet...ahahaha! This season was basically me being confused by my newly minted attraction to these characters becoming adults: Reiner, Jean, Armin, Eren...those four, I tell you. Although, yeah, Reiner revealed his teddy bear status and Eren revealed that he can be quite scary albeit hot. And Armin and Jean are just kings, so it's all good. Our boys have become men! I do miss Marlo a LOT, too, especially seeing Hitch alone, confiding in Annie. And Armin's little crush is kind of adorable. <3 I can't say that Eren's hotness has swayed me at all into being a Jaegerist, but it's conflicting; I'll say that. Mappa knew where to put the extra budget this season. :) But yeah, I'm not into fast food, so no Burger King Floch for me. :P Thanks for the comment!

Ooohhhhh, that is so interesting -- I like that he says Eren is a part of him that "he doesn't want to see" -- that is SO RELATABLE! Ugh, Eren and Armin being the two sides of the coin in terms of how we gain "freedom." My HEART. Thank you for sharing that! :)

Sacha
>>77939478

Lobov was a new recruit remember 😄he came from the Garrison so definitely had the cushy lifestyle. Whereas our 104th have had intense lifestyles since the age of around 12. So yeaaah semi realistic but also it’s anime and ‘dumb brain like pretty’. Sue me 😂 I swear Mappa has an agenda when it comes to Armin. Armin is my favourite character in the story anyway (and one of my favourite anime /manga characters ever) so I really didn’t need anything else and yet Mappa feeds me soo good. I didn’t think you generally believed what you said about EMA. I think I was just really surprised that you said it. As it’s the very core of the story in many ways. No matter if it’s Eren and Mikasa, Armin and Eren, Mikasa and Armin or all 3 together they are beating heart of this story. “To save Mikasa and Armin…”. I figured it was more of a throw away line when you said Eren doesn’t care and you were more talking out loud. So sorry if I was a lil intense .. Have fun with the rest of the first half and wish you luck with the hell that is the second. Seriously. This first half? Sun shine and rainbows. The second half? … I don’t know how to prepare you for it…

romaniablack
>>77939478

Hahahaha, that makes sense with Lobov; it's more a joke than anything, but I love it. I won't sue you -- I get simp goggles on a lot, too! :D And I loooove Armin, so I'm so excited to see what Mappa does with him! *gets fork and spoon out and ready* Oh, no problem! And umhmmmm...all I can say, having just watched Episode 14 is that I am going to be as open-minded as I can. I DON'T want any spoilers, hints, or direction at this point (I know you won't do that but that's where I'm at) -- I know Isayama has a plan...but haaaaaah....I know I'm not ready for Part 2. I'm not ready for where I'm at now, but all I can do is accept the madness. :) Excited to read y'all's comments!!

Sacha
>>77939478

Oh god! You’ve watched episode 14!! or as I like to call it the ‘gaslight table scene’ and PAIN 2.0 😬 It’s honestly one that I find difficult to rewatch. I can’t speak for everyone else’s comments to that episode but I promise to not hint or spoiler. All I’ll do is probably go through things that we know contextually as facts from the story up to this point.

romaniablack
>>77939478

Yesssss...it was painful. But I made it through, hahahaha! I appreciate the non-spoilers, though! I feel like these next two episodes are going to be wild before the finale of Part 1, and I don't even want to think about Part 2 yet (though it's coming FAST). *nervous laugh*
