So....new favorite episode, eh? I love me some romance, but when it's integrated naturally and sexily like it is here and ties to our characters developing and the themes of the show? **chef's kiss**

There is SO much to talk about with this episode, as you can see, and our boy Shinji gets closer to Asuka, Asuka has her own identity issues, and Kaji...Kaji may just be the snake in the Garden of Eden--err, NERV, hm?

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

Awesome reaction and analysis! So happy I finally made a patreon account so I can watch these early. Great catch regarding the book Rei is reading by the way, as it is tied to her backstory. I’ll make sure to comment the specifics of what she is reading when the time comes, so excited for more of your videos!

Thank you so much for the kind words and the Patreon support! :D I really appreciate it! And ahhhh, thank you for not spoiling -- I'm SO SO SO excited to see everything with this story come together as we go! ^^

I suddenly had the strangest thought. What if that track that Shinji keeps listening to contains some recording of his parents? Like, his dad saying one nice thing to him from ages ago, or his mother humming a short song? Hoo this anime really does not turn feelings into comedy when the times comes! Kids navigating first steps of attraction, adults reigniting the old flames...

Oohhhhhh, that would be really interesting if it were a recording of his parents! @_@ Hmmmmm, maybe we'll find out more about that darn walkman, eventually! And YES, the paths these kids are crossing -- the lines of maturity and immaturity explored; I wasn't expecting it in this series, but I'm welcoming it! :D
