Chihayafuru and March comes in like a lion are great.

Death2boredom

Dangit, both Ookiku Furikabutte and Sangatsu no Lion!!? One is such a pure and easily shippable story and the other is just a great delve into a psychological I relate to.

Death2boredom

Unrelated, but funnily enough the author of Berserk, the late great Kentaro Miura, and the author of Sangatsu, Chica Umino, had a mutual respect and have drawn interpretations of each other's works.

NOTE: Spelling error on Chihayafuru! :) Happy Voting!

Gotta go Chihayafuru here. One outs and Major are quite underrated too. baseball anime just dont seem to miss. still interested to check out cross game, rookies, and hikaru no go. great options here!

Toni simi

I really hope for Chihayafuru. I've also heard good things about big windup but haven't watched that yet.

Marta Kira Ayanami

Hikaru no Go, definitely! Wow, I've never expected such an option. Hikaru no Go is a wonderful manga.

romaniablack

Thank you! I heard the mangaka for Death Note created it, so that had me excited! Thanks for voting! :D

What a stacked poll. Oofuri should be sooo ridiculously up your alley, and Chihayafuru is probably one of my all-time favorites (and as a manga-only I'd be interested to see how they adapted the Karuta matches...). Cross Game is by an absolute manga genius, One Outs is a lot of fun and very different from your usual sports manga. I think I'd watch any of those. (Heard a lot of good things about March Comes in Like a Lion as well, but because of the publication situation it'll probably be a while before I get to read it...) Wait, Rookies? That would be manga only, right? Or are you planning to do the dorama adaptation should it win? There's no anime as far as I know.

cw

Only the artist FWIW, it was written by someone else (Yumi Hotta, who's only done one other manga that didn't make it long, and hasn't published anything since then I think). The Death Note team did two other manga, Bakuman which is sort of a non-sports sports manga and pretty entertaining, and Platinum End, which I haven't read yet and was widely panned.

romaniablack

I thought there WAS a Rookies anime adaptation, but if it did win, I guess I would do a manga reaction; thank you for letting me know, but yes, these recommendations were all ones I'm excited about so I'm looking forward to the Top 3! Thank you for the kind words, comment, and voting! :D

romaniablack

I've heard SO many good things about BOTH! So excited! Happy Voting!

romaniablack

I have heard really good things about both of those series, so I'm excited to see what makes the top three! Thank you for the comment and for voting!

Plore

I love how the audience i s really saying get boardgames are sport and it is what we want haha. But yes i am here for 3-gatsu.

romaniablack

Hahahaha, we're all like, "Yes! It's a sport! There are competitions! RIGHT?!" :) I'm excited for the top 3 of this one! :D

jv

OMG, I love Chihayafuru so much 😭 Karuta is such a great sport. I would definitely learn it after learning Japanese. I can't wait for you to watch it!!

romaniablack

I've heard such good things!! I hope that it keeps going up in the bracket polling! Thank you for voting!

Sunspots

Going to leave a vote for One Outs - it is wonderful.

romaniablack

Thank you so much for the vote! I've heard it's really good! :D

romaniablack

I've heard good things about EVERY show on this poll, so I'm excited for whatever is the top 3! :) Thanks for voting!

romaniablack

All of these options I'm so excited for! Thank you for the information on the authors and how they have respect for each other -- that's so cool! Happy Voting! :D

Doccyy

Chihayafuru is a strong fave of mine. Hope to see you react to it in the future!

Death2boredom

Don't worry, I left one too buddy. It's my #3 for this poll

Death2boredom

Np, if you do end up finishing the Berserk manga you can look it up. It's so interesting to see her draw his characters in her cuter style. I'm not sure what kind of poll it could be in since it's set in a college and about artists but I LOVE her previous series Honey and Clover. It's such a unique dive into adult relationships, anxiety, and complexes tied together with loveable characters and comedy.

Sunspots

Nice! Hopefully we'll see it on a poll again at some point. =)

Deea_8915

I'm all for One Outs but probably won't win this time. Haven't seen any of the other ones...

romaniablack

Thank you for voting! I've heard GREAT things about that series, so I'm excited to hopefully see it in the future!

romaniablack

Thank you for the vote! I definitely would like to do more baseball series down the road; One Outs will definitely be on that poll when I do!

Sacha

Please March and Chihayafuru do well moving forward!! Fingers crossed! March is honestly a masterpiece for me and soo few stories have effected me more while watching and rewatching it. And Chihayafuru is not only one of favourite anime/manga but the anime’s voice cast is STACKED. Speaking of voice acting, one of my favourites is in it (and I believe one of yours) and for me it’s without question his best performance I have heard from him. Hands down.

romaniablack

Fingers crossed because people hav been recommending them for a LONG time! :) I'm excited to see how far they go! Thanks for voting!

romaniablack

That's awesome! I've HEARD of honey and clover, so I'll have to make note! Thanks!
