Sorry Sangatsu just had priority for me here 😭. I love them both though.

killerqueen2000

All good that just means I'll finally have to watch sangatsu if it wins

Kaku 💫

Blue Lock FTW!!!

Whim

Voted for Ping Pong and Blue Lock!! The past year I've been obsessed with Blue Lock since the very first few episodes of the anime. I really think you'd enjoy it and come to love it! Let's go Blue Lock!!

Jordan G

Hoping for 3-Gatsu! All the choices would be worth watching so really it is a win-win-win-win

Shame that Chihaya missed out at the very end 😭 but one of my top 5 anime of all time Sangatsu is still here! Truly it will be blessed day when it finally wins a poll. Fingers crossed!

romaniablack

Chihayafuru at least has a spot in the 2nd place poll whenever we get to it! But thank you for voting! I'm excited! <3

Why you should vote 3-gatsu (slight spoilers, ROMANIA DO NOT READ) : First of all the studio, shaft is known for it's visually striking style, and this is imedietly visible from the first episode. The art work and direction is excellent. Managing to from the first minutes of the show you immedietly know you're in for a treat. Related to this is the atmosphere, no matter what the emotional impact is that the show wants to make it they don't have to use a single word to convey it. The mix of the music, colour pallete and visual methaphorse convey it with clarity. The emotional weight it carries is it's strongest point. It talks about the commen sports anime struggle of the loneliness at the top. The story places most of his focus on the relationship of the protagonist with the people around him. How some of them strain under the pressure and others blossem, and how you need to learn to live with that. It also gives one of the most realistic portayels of both depression and grieve and handles it which such care that I still think about it often. This doesn't mean that this story is just sad, it just makes the moment os joy just that more striking and wondefull. It might not be a typical sports anime, but man do i think it deserves a watch.

killerqueen2000

Ping pong not typical either but ppl refuse to watch. Lots of similarities I'm seeing tbh

Kelsey

I did not expect such a close race so far 👀👀👀

romaniablack

Right?! Super excited! Thanks for votinggggg!

Gin

BLUE LOCKKKKK

K G

Blue lock is the one 😤

cw

Blue Lock and Ping Pong for me. Blue Lock because I've already read it, Ping Pong is just two volumes so I could squeeze it in. Would like to read Sangatsu at some point, but with the translation situation I don't think I'll get to it any time soon.

cw

Yeah that was a tragic loss, but the upside is that now Kodansha has some extra time to put out the manga volumes so Romania has the option of reading that after the adaptation if she wants. There's still 11 volumes to go.

Kiara

Girl, I'm so happy Blue Lock pulled ahead again. That 1 point difference earlier was STRESSIN' me out😭😭

Lodvn

Fingers crossed for Blue Lock 🤞🏻🤞🏻

romaniablack

Thank you for voting! I'm excited for everything in this poll! :)

tinyTRUKK

Same, I got so scared that thought I would have to start committing identity theft. 😭😭

Sacha

Was just checking in and of course sangatsu will inevitably have another second place result 😭 unless there’s a major upset… ah well I still had a fun time with blue lock when it was airing. One day sangatsu!

Sacha

@cw feels like a lot of my favourites get done dirty by the English distribution. Also where’s season 4 Madhouse?! And Madhouse I’m also looking at you for Daiya no ace season 4!!

romaniablack

At least the 2nd place polls will be happening this fall at some point, probably! Thanks for voting and I'm excited to eventually see it!

killerqueen2000

I knew the winner before the tournament even started lol. It is the new hq knb in popularity can't help it. My ping pong tho😔

romaniablack

It was a long and well fought battle! The top ones, though, aren't going anywhere until I watch them so I will get to them! :) I'm glad y'all voted, though!

Sunspots

Happy days, Truck! =)

tinyTRUKK

BLUELOCK WON! !!! ! ! ! ! ! YAYYAYAYAYYAYYAYYAYA!!!! LET'S ALL CELEVRATE!!!

cw

Kodansha is not really doing them dirty, they're putting out a new volume every two months which is a reasonable frequency. It's just a long series and they started late. Can't speak to the season releases as I don't really watch anime, only reactions to it if I really liked a manga and that mostly for the discussions.

romaniablack

Season 4 of Ace of the Diamond could not get here soon enough!
