Squashed Elise Reimagined (Patreon)

Bluesky/PixivSeems like Elise got partially squished by something rather big.Hey, haven't I seen this somewhere before? ...Oh yeah! Indeed, this is my attempt to render an art piece that the amazing KyutaFCA made as faithfully as possible. The thought of recreating some of her art occurred to me a little while ago and after I got her permission to, I went right for it. If you recognized this immediately, good on you. Otherwise, if you haven't heard of her before, please check her out; her art style is quite adorable and you should totally watch her!The original artwork can be found here.I'm really proud of myself for holding on to this all the way through to the end and getting it to work out.  I basically had to figure out how to extract specific meshes from the model that fit exactly to the footprint without everything getting all messy. Then I had to connect the gaps left over after the cuts since meshes are hollow and figuring that out was a trip on its own, amplified by the fact that Elise has the purple stripes in her hair. So yeah, it's certainly not perfect by any means, but it's good enough for me considering what little Blender knowledge I have.Characters: Elise (Fire Emblem Fates).
