Bluesky/PixivSuch lovely portraits... Don't worry, I assure you nothing bad is going on over here.==============================================================The Creator's Mindset:- I had to manually create the pressed skin effect by shaping planes by hand. Every single instance of it.- When I first received Marianne, I really didn't give her the best touch up job, probably because I was just starting out in Blender 2.8 at the time. To create this portrait, I finally gave her a bit of renewed justice.- I thought I'd end up stretching Marianne's hair more, but she turned out to be unique in that I didn't make her hair reach the top of the frame, whereas Shamir's does, and Celica's stretches out horizontally, reaching even the corners of the portrait.- Celica was probably the hardest to smooth out, possibly because she has the longest hair or because she was the one I transformed first out of the bunch. Ironically, she also turned out the smoothest underneath the frame and was the last to be finished.- Shamir was surprisingly easy to do. She was the last of the bunch I transformed and the second to be finished. Maybe I just got used to it? Her expression and posing is one of frustration or anger because I think it suits her character more, making a good contrast from the other two portraits.- An extra helping of Photoshop layering was added to all of the portraits to make them a bit more texturized.==============================================================Trivia and Extra Tidbits:1. Friends:- My inspiration for this was simple enough: Cheeks smushed against glass. All of the portraits were characters suggested by friends. Said friends were DaAussie, KyutaFCAand Robin-nen.• Marianne was suggested by DaAussie.• Celica was suggested by KyutaFCA.• Shamir was suggested by Robin-nen.2. Gallery:- This is the first time I've made art pieces tied together by a similar concept, but do not necessarily take place in the same environment nor are they necessarily related to each other outside of the concept.3. In-Game:- Celica has the fanciest frame because she's a princess initially and later a queen.- Marianne's frame is more detailed than Shamir's, but less detailed than Celica's because her status as the daughter of a noble places her somewhere in the middle for titles.- Shamir has the simplest frame out of the trio of portraits since she's only a mercenary employed by the Knights of Seiros.==============================================================Extra Notes:- Growing as an Artist (New Concepts/Discoveries and Thoughts) has been renamed again to The Creator's Mindset, keeping it short and sweet and making some topics feel less out of place based off of the heading.- Trivia and Extra Tidbits now has alphabetical categories added to it, making it easier to group multiple, similar thoughts together.==============================================================Credits:- Characters: Celica (Fire Emblem Warriors), Marianne von Edmund and Shamir Nevrand (Fire Emblem: Three Houses).
