Bluesky/PixivCategory: CompleteInspiration: I was talking with a friend about petrification and freezing effects in games. Seeing as how Genshin had it and it contained transparency, I wanted to see if I could maybe emulate it somewhat with some tinkering.My Thoughts:- I've always enjoyed freezing and petrification to a certain extent, but in all my old DeviantArt work, I only made one piece featuring it and maybe one personal piece with the same effect, which was solid.• The comparison from then to now is definitely better: The icicles are a lot more defined and visible, the glints of light added in Photoshop are more varied and not all opaque, and of course, there's actual transparency rather than it just being solid ice which naturally leads to more variance in colors.• I guess that last part mostly depends on preference and what you're trying to convey though: Is the TFed subject transformed completely into ice or simply encased in it? I'm more of the latter.
