Genshin Party: Slimming Slimes (Patreon)

Bluesky/PixivCategory: CompleteInspiration: It's Mario Party, but with some Genshin Impact characters and a somewhat familiar minigame!My Thoughts:- In order to select the characters plus their poses and expressions, I had four friends of mine who all played Genshin Impact at the time participate in a special gacha I came up with using the game's banner systems.• The rank given to each character actually depicts the turn order that my friends ended up with during the event.• Although a unique region was assigned to everyone who participated (Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, and Sumeru were the only ones out at the time), there was a special rule that allowed 4 stars from other regions to be selected, which is why Liyue is missing from the final roster.- The namecards were created by carefully mixing the existing namecards each character gives you for reaching level 10 friendship with some basic colors, in addition to the character portraits used for their profile icons.- The background was made by converting an already existing domain into it.References:- The minigame depicted in the render is a modified version of Tox Box Shocks from Mario Party: Island Tour. In Tox Box Shocks, all you do is move your character around to avoid getting crushed underneath the enemies that spawn in. As time runs out, it gets harder and harder to stay safe.• The slimes in Genshin Impact tend to jump and squish characters underneath them as an attack to begin with, so that made them a natural choice for the picture. I picked the geo slimes since the Tox Boxes also seem to be made of rocky material.
