Woot!!! E, you and this community are the reasons why TCV is the only thing I am a Patreon patron of, period.

Andrew Warwick

I am happy & proudly a member of this wonderful group of Humans. I wish I could have joined before Jan. of this year, but such is life. I am here. I always look forwad to and enjoy the patron chats. ...Now if only I can geta a webcab that will last more than 2 uses!

True for me as well, Hopper! This is my only channel I of which I am a patron. No regrets there!

Michael D

I'm very happy to a TCV patreon, and Elizabeth and Kirk you guys work extremely to provide us content also keep up the awesome work 👌😊

ELOfanatic

I agree with Michael. I just joined the other day as well. While I would love to see more ELO, I like watching your reactions to just about anything.

Eric Morel-Ensminger

I joined a few minutes ago. I'm a giant fan of what you do. You've helped my 66 year old self to become a better singer. And, yes, in New Orleans one can still have an active playing/singing schedule. I just watched your analysis of Jimi Hendrix's All Along The Watch Tower. I've also seen your takes on Chicago featuring Bobby Lamm and Pete Cetera. However, the heart and soul of that band was Terry Kath whose voice was stellar; and Hendix thought Kath was a better guitar player than him and wanted to do an album with Chicago. Nice to be with you here on Patreon.

Michael J

The MJ Thriller was good. I usually don't like pop strait up singing (some I do,) I have this "they all sound the same." argument I make lol. I like someone I know on the first word of the sung. But with him,he's spot on pop, but you know its him in any song, and he's just freak spot on. And the somg writing to is unreal. It didn't matter what anyone did or does listen to as a favorite style. Everyone went nuts on that album, and the videos.

Michael D

Elizabeth have you done a first reaction video to Billy Joel.

Dina

Elizabeth I adore all of your Dio reaction videos. He has been a tremendous influence on me vocally and I love watching your take on his masterful voice! 🤘🏻

JASON SUMRALL

It's Halloween & I sure would love for you to finally get back to "AVENGED SEVENFOLD" " BURIED ALIVE" & "NIGHTMARE"

David Lindblad

Is there a full version of your reaction to Warren Zevon? I caught the short on Youtube, but would love to see the whole reaction.

Eric Morel-Ensminger

Loved the Bowie episode. Now, listen to his Fame (tease, John Lennon backing vox)

Eric Morel-Ensminger

Two suggestions, if I may. Dolly Parton singing Stairway To Heaven and Whitney Houston singing Dolly's I Will Always Love You.

Eric Morel-Ensminger

Several years ago, an actual astronaut, covered this, incredibly well, from space. This video is stunning beyond words. He used the space station, using various locations in it.

you need to join Discord to suggest reactions: Log in to your Patreon account Click on Settings from the left side menu Click on More and then Connected Apps from the menu bar Click on Discord and then click the Connect button

justin

I've got figure out how this Discord thing works as I've not used it, but Elizabeth needs to react to Joan Baez House of the Rising Sun in 1964. And really do a deep dive on Joan more broadly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rD80eZ6Gxz0

Eric Morel-Ensminger

Watching the Whitesnake video, I realized the dancer is Kelly LaBrock. She was a giant star in the eighties. Among others, she starred in Weird Science.

Robert McGrath

I now have a Discord account and it seems like it's connected to Patreon but I don't know how to get to the Charismatic Voice to access messages. Or is that what this is? I just saw Led Zeppelin's live version of In My Time of Dying and immediately thought of Elizabeth, I think she'd like it and it's time for another Zepp reaction/analysis. If this is not the right place for this, maybe someone can give me some guidance. Thanks. BTW, I'm using an Android, which complicated the linking.

Paul Watson

I hope too that I may post a reaction suggestion here. Now that you have done The White Stripes - Seven nation army there is some good live White Stripes you may like to review. May I recommend their version of "The White Stripes - Jolene (Official Music video)". Yes, the Dolly Parton song with the wording unchanged just their very different take on it.

Ken Goach

I am surprised that no one has suggested that Elizabeth check out Robin Zander, lead singer of Cheap Trick. He is considered by many to be one of the best rock vocalists of the 70s and 80s when the band was prominent on radio and MTV. The band still tours today, and he still sounds great!

David Kearney

I screwed up connecting this Patreon account to my Discord account. I ended up accidentally creating a new Discord account through my Google account. Elizabeth’s Patreon account is now associated with this account. Long story short, I have spent hours trying anything I could think of to link Elizabeth’s Patreon to my Discord, to no avail. I was wondering if I could just get an invite from The Charismatic Voice to my real Discord account: Go Cat Dave#3169 Would that be possible? Or do I need to cancel my Charismatic Voice account and recreate my it so that I can link it to my real Discord account? I would be so grateful if someone could help me with this. Thanks.

Looks like I got it to work. I am able to access The Charismatic Voice on Discord now. Yayy!

Jim H

Great suggestion. I second this. Such a great band and love Robin Zander's voice. Surrender would be a great choice, and I agree that I think Elizabeth would love Cheap Trick.

Jim H

Still trying to find the right forum to advocate for bands/artists for Elizabeth to review in addition to the monthly suggestion on Discord and hoping this is the right place to do it, but if not, please point me in the right direction as i am still a bit new to this. A few bands/artists/songs that i keep thinking need to be reviewed (and this is just a small sample so i don't over do it): Linda Ronstadt - I think Elizabeth knows of her from the little bit of opera she did later in her career. But she is up there with the greatest female rock vocalists of all time, even a Kennedy Center honoree a few years back. There is a great live version of her doing the Rolling Stones' Tumbling Dice on YouTube (hint hint) The Beach Boys - incredible vocals and harmonies. Elizabeth would be blown away by Carl Wilson's voice. So amazing. Good Vibrations (studio version which Brian Wilson spent months mixing) would be a great song to do that features Carl in all his glory and the amazing harmonies that Brian Wilson dreamed up. I think Elizabeth would enjoy the electro-theremin, too. Peter Frampton - There is a great live version of Do You Feel LIke We Do from a show in Miami in 1977 on YouTube that is every bit as good as the live version on Frampton Comes Alive (#1 album of 1976). I think Elizabeth would love seeing and hearing Frampton and his talk/voice box which he kind of made famous. I'm guessing Elizabeth has never heard an artist use one before, and this is the best example. I'll stop here before I further water down my plea for these artists. :) Hope everyone has a great day!

thecharismaticvoice
>>124753294

Hey Jim! I'm a little familiar with Linda Ronstadt, but want to do a deep dive analysis at some point. Possibly this year. The Beach Boys are on my happy playlist. I think I've heard every song of theirs, and Mycroft is a huge fan as well! I just filmed my first Peter Frampton video today, set to release next month!

Marc Jacobs

Hi Elizabeth: new to the group. When you get a chance would like to suggest the YES son "Awaken"; however I recommend you review the live version of Jon Anderson with the Iceland Rock band TODMOBILE in 2013 (along with symphony and choir. Closest to "spiritual/sacred" with music as I have heard. Happy New Year to you and your family! Marc J

David Harvey

Hi Elizabeth, I tried to find the live conversation on "Hey Joe" by Hendrix and tried to download Discord for the first time and just couldn't get it up in time. First, on the content and musical context of "Hey Joe". Like many of the '60's rock stars heavily influenced by the Blues. In the Blues tradition "Hey Joe" is a Murder Ballad. That genre gets into stories of murders and why people do them. So just google murder ballads and you'll see the why and where is behind the song. Second, Jimi's guitar gymnastics were largely riffs on previous rock and blues originators such as Chuck Berry and T-Bone Walker. Jimi also played left-handed so he played the guitar upside down - Kurt Cobain did the same. Cheers! Dave

Henrik Sørensen

Hi Elizabeth and Happy New year. Thank you for all the reactions and insights into singing, and vocal acrobatics. I am a long time follower of your channel, and have truely enjoyed seeing and hearing, a lot of rections to artist I allready knew, but have gotten a lot more apriciation for, through your analysis. I only have one small tiny bone to pick, and that is the fact that you have been unaware or have overlooked the Band Therion. I understand that there exists so many both old and new productions worldwide, that it would take from now to the sun burns out to cover them all. I therefore humbly suggest you take a listen to them, since they are a very interesting metal band than use both a lot of Opera inspired singing, and choir. They are invovative and "right up your alley" if I might say so. Now where to start with such a band ? I would suggest the tunes "Lemuria" or "Mon Amour Mon Ami" or even the live preformance of Birth of venus Illegitima from Poland. Well the choice is yours :) I hope all is welland that I as all of your other Patreons can have a good and happy year 2024 with lots of song and reactions together With the best regards. Henrik Sørensen

David G.

Hi Elizabeth, Happy New Year! I love your videos. I’m new to the channel and am keen to see you analyze Kasey Chambers Lose Yourself. I see that was in a recent poll, but didn’t win. However, given the fact she is virtually unknown outside Australia that is not surprising. I hope you will consider doing it anyway. It is unexpected, surprising and brilliant. I have not figured the Discord thing out. I have both Patreon and Discord working, just not together and I can’t seem to add your channel to Discord. Is there a invite code by any chance?

John Rybock

I really love this channel. A HS friend introduced it to me when you first did Depeche Mode, which made me join (and we've discussed new things you pointed out that we never noticed before). We were "Class of '90", so DM was certainly on our playlist. And deep diving in the archives, a lot of good songs I have enjoyed your analysis of. I'd love for you to continue on the English "goth" sort of playlist - Joy Division, New Order (Joy Division after losing their lead singer), The Smiths, Erasure, more of The Cure.

James Streeter

I am new here. I can't remember how I came across the channel. I'm a prog rock/jazz fusion fan, so my music tastes lean to more instrumental music (music with no lyrics). But I really enjoy Elizabeth's reactions to older music. LOVE the reactions to The Who and Jimi Hendrix! I would have thought everyone knew about them, but Elizabeth's reactions here made me realize how great it was when I was first discovering new music. I have been playing the Chapman Stick for many years. I was first exposed to the instrument when I saw the first US King Crimson concert back on 10/29/1981 (I keep my old ticket stubs, so I know the dates of all the concerts I went to over the decades), with the new Fripp, Bruford, Levin, and Belew lineup. Tony Levin played a Chapman Stick at the concert, and from then on I was hooked. I actually got quite good at playing a lot of music. But then I was diagnosed with cancer and was unable to keep up my practicing for several years. :( So now I'm at square one again. Looking forward to being a member here!

Joshua Burfiend

Please do some more sevendust reactions, especially "the wait" live in Denver or any acoustic songs from them. As I'm sure you've heard they're very underrated!!!

JASON SUMRALL

I'm also ready for some more "FAITH NO MORE" "EVIDENCE" " THE GENTLE ART OF MAKING ENEMIES" "EASY"

Jim H

Really enjoyed the review of Blues Traveler and took note of Elizabeth's solicitation of songs for listeners to suggest that feature a unique or different instrument that maybe hasn't been showcased in a song she has already reviewed, as John Popper did with his great harmonica playing. So here goes my shameless attempt to get a Rolling Stones song reviewed...we gotta do Honky Tonk Women featuring the most famous wonderfully syncopated cow bell in all of rock-n-roll! I would suggest doing the studio version to get that syncopated cow bell in all its glory. Also, to peak Elizabeth's interest, I would call out the great diphthong during the chorus. You know she is a fan of diphthongs. And lastly, Elizabeth has talked about how so much of today's music is very formulaic and I couldn't agree more. One of the things I love about this song is that the Stones just let it go where it wanted to. The song increases by about 10-12 bpm from beginning to end. You'd never get that with a band playing along to a click track today. The beauty is that they played what they felt and that meant letting the great groove and swing just pick up a bit. Who could argue that this "imperfection" is actually perfection. At its release, Rolling Stone magazine called it "the three best minutes of rock-n-roll yet released in 1969", and Record World called it "the Rolling Stones at their funky best"

Paul V

Hey all, new here. Love Elizabeth's reactions to everything. Can't wait for more. Barely scratching the surface on so many bands.

Todd

Lawrence! Please. I'm really interested to hear your analysis of Gracie Lawrence's voice. (Maybe Clyde's, too.) I suggest a live version of "Don't Lose Sight", but any of their performances would work. Love your YT channel!

Martin Mason

'I have seen the morning burning golden on the mountain in the skies Aching with the feeling of the freedom of an eagle when she flies' Lyrics from Kris Kristofferson's songs, that can stand as prose as much as they are the song lyrics. Please review this artist, voice, and presence. Utmost respect to this artist, lyrically, vocally, and wholesomely. https://youtu.be/HCgnbRWVvU8?si=rUklNkk1AtpnQMpm

Metallica, “SweetAmber”. For your own personal enjoyment. Thank you for helping me to see James in such a new way.

Lucien Crofts

Can I suggest a unique singer songwriter that you will have a ball analysing his voice.... World Citizen by David Sylvian, from the Sleepwalkers album. I can not think of anyone else who sounds like him. His voice is so smooth, creamy yet detailed and supremely soulful.

Reiver_Todd-M*2 -KSG-

Hi Elizabeth, I have been following you on YT for just over a year, and really appreciate your insight and analysis of music and musicians. I am sure you get a million requests, and I will make 1M+1. He is a local artist in CO, who will be having a rare in-home live show soon. I don't want to disrespect your channel, by posting here. please DM me on Discord if you are interested. Thank you for all of your hard work!

Patrick Hunt

Hi Elizabeth! Just signed on. I've really, really gotten a kick out of your videos. I discovered your channel from your video of Rush's "Spirit of Radio". I love the joy and enthusiasm you show so much. As a trained musician myself, I know it's so easy to get jaded and lose your joy, but listening to not just your acceptance but your enthusiasm for music that so many of us write off is inspiring. I'd like to offer a few suggestions from various subgenres that I'd like to see you cover. "Tin Man" by America "Spanish Harlem" by The Mamas & the Papas "Basket Case" by Green Day

James Lee

I've been watching your vids for a couple of years and been a subscriber for about half of that time and I absolutely love your content. I recently came across a vocalist who blew me away and I though she would make a great react/breakdown vid for you. Her name is Davina Michelle and this link is to her performing "What About Us" by Pink live. https://youtu.be/IEGfGpcBXxg?si=txg22erQvZdK_PZB

Sylvia Martin

Having found you through Dan Vasc's Amazing Grace, I'm bound to wonder whether you might find his recent cover of My Heart Will Go On interesting. It's not a song that has ever appealed to me much (a bit too soppy) but, a bit like Vasc's Amazing Grace, I find his version quite exhilarating.

Luke Tomlin

Id love to hear your thoughts on a band called Protest The Hero. They're different for sure but all so talented. I believe you would really enjoy the guitar and vocals they have to offer. So many catchy songs but Heretics and Killers is the first one I heard by them and the video is great.

Betty Johnson

A suggestion for your analysis - Miley Cyrus cover of Nothing Else Matters on the Howard Stern Show. Her voice is incredible, and their chemistry is magic!

Brecon Hallaran-Gould

Another cool idea would be INXS at Wembley especially songs like Original Sin, Never Tear Us Apart or Suicide Blonde. Always loved Michaels voice. Much love from NZ.

Mike Hodson

I can't stop watching these videos...Great work. I would love to see an analysis of Gord Downie from The Tragically Hip. He's got a very expressive voice and his song writing is a part of the fabric of Canada.

dudski79

A great vocal performance is "Sour Suite" by Burton Cummings and the Guess Who. Cummings is one of those singers who can front an aggressive rock band or, in this case, put across a really nice ballad.

Lancer

Land slide one of my favorite Stevie Nick's songs I love the subdued tone.

Gary

Do Jimmy Barnes/Cold Chisel. "Flame Trees" or "When the War is over". Australia's next favourite voice after Johnny Farnham.

Sean Sauer

Just saw the ELO and it was great I am still pushing for you doing the Traveling Wilburys after you do a Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan and George Harrison. Just the story of how they came together is amazing.

Godofthunder

Look I'm just trying to get Elizabeth to hear a couple tunes to see what she thinks ...is this possible....I didn't know I had to go thru this much turmoil to do it oy, How the hell can I do that ....

Godofthunder

Yea, I don't get that shit , esp spending more money since I don't have any to spend since I'm on a budget....so the only ones that can talk with her/ put something on here to listen to depends on money status wow...hell with it then

Max

Could you please react to some Tom Waits please please please!? Your show is awesome, i like it a lot!

KitiRama

Song Recommendation - Linda Ronstadt - You're No Good (Live) - Linda Ronstadt channel - This is from the Live in Hollywood album. The video does do a good job of showing her and the band. Also this is about twice as long as the studio version.

Thank you for this recommendation. I just discovered him and his voice is amazing, especially on Hold On.

Sylvia Martin

Song recommendation - Dan Vasc metal cover of Burn Butcher Burn - can see right down to his tonsils while he's singing this (his channel). Alternatively: the other side of the spectrum - Dimitry Hvorostovsky and Lara Fabian Toi et Moi - because it has two different singing styles in duet (video New Wave 2016)

KitiRama

Song Recommendation - Anne McCue - Dig Two Graves - Anne McCue channel - Studio version - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=en-u8WyabmI - I always think of the movie Kill Bill when I hear this. I promise that my next recommendation will be a happier one.

I have seen no reviews from you of any of the many works of Frank Zappa. Frank was a serious classical composer who financed his orchestral recordings with rock/jazz/alternative output. He is also known for non-PC approaches to music and commentary, but don't let that put you off discovering the sheer beauty and brilliance of his work. Can I suggest 'Inca Roads' as a starting point? There is an excellent live, video version with animation built in. As a next step, may I suggest the 'Yellow Snow Suite'? Then there is a favourite of mine - 'G-Spot Tornado', which will get played at my funeral.

Tony Brown

I've just discovered you today on Youtube and I have enjoyed your take on a bunch of these songs from my youth. Please try some Roy Orbison. We lost him in 1988. Listen to the song You Got It, it was produced by Jeff Lynne from ELO. Plus try the Traveling Wilburys who is George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan and Tom Petty. Some fun music.

Vince

You should checkout spoil engine “ golden cage” or “doomed to die” I think you’ll like the band

Venomdust1

Rex My favorite creator . Finally able to join . Thanks for having an open mind about metal

Craig D

This might be the very best song to come out of the civil rights era in 1960s America. As the story goes Sam Cooke was refused service at a restaurant in early 1960s Louisiana and this song was the result. You can feel deep pain combined with optimism for the feature in his voice and lyrics. Anyway, all the way from 1964, here is Sam Cooke -- Change Is Gonna Come. https://youtu.be/AaA6cIr7U_Y?si=dNH-KKs9iVuG3ywF

Janis Carney

His voice is very like Roy Orbison

Brian

Triumph - Fight the good fight or Magic Power or Lay it on the line! ( from '83 us festival )- PLEASE!

Donald McCormick

Elisabeth, I must say I truly love watching you and your eyebrows on reaction to new to you music. E.L.O. is one of the greatest feel good bands of all time. I would strongly recommend and would love to see you react to " Can't get it out of my head" on the Eldorado album. But, play the intro of the album that leads into song. Beautiful orchestral abilities are shown there. Keep it up. Big fan.

Traci

Hello Elizabeth! I remember in an analysis of Brandon Boyd's voice you saying that there are some voices that are "anytime voices." I have my anytime voices, too, and they never grow old but only continue to soothe, inspire - and sometimes bring me to tears. With that in mind, can you please consider listening to Jim James of My Morning Jacket? His voice is praised by so many! Specific songs that would be a great place to start are Steam Engine or Dondante. I promise - you will not be disappointed!

Jason Rzucidlo

You should check out Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways it’s a documentary and he goes to different cities and gets the music scene and than creates a song on all of the city influences

Scott Matarrese

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check out Sammy Hagar in MONTROSE.....1973, his big time start with Ronnie Montrose, who was a hard rock guitar god of the ages. Rock Candy · Rock the Nation · Bad Motor Scooter · Make It Last · Good Rockin' Tonight. It is AMAZING, Sammy is very young, teens I think, and this had a MAJOR impact on hard rock and it still does to this day to those who know the good stuff, especially musicians who you think are at the top, but they know who laid ou the hard rock craft in the beginning. Sorry if you have already done this but I cant find it....you will be blown away, I promise. EVERY SINGLE TIME Sammy did a concert he did one or more Montrose songs. With Van Halen I just dont think Eddie would have been up for that....but mayby one? P.S. THANK YOU for recognising Rob and Judas Priest for what the are, the Heavy Metal GODS. I saw them on thier first US tour opening for KISS in 1980 I think, I was 16, and the whole arena was stunned and blown away by thier increadable vocals, guitar, and performance. It was so BRITISH and so awesome. Thank you.

Eric Shimada

Hello Elizabeth! Most people knows that greatest vocal harmonies group in a hard rock scene is QUEEN, but the Ancestor is URIAH HEEP back in 1969, when they started the career of the band. Lead vocal David Byron has an incredible voice . My favorite album is "Demons And Wizards" (1972) and the song is "Circle Of Hands". Good harmonies and features hammond organ played by Ken Hensley. Related to classical element, the band KANSAS has a very good progressive hard rock sound and Steve Walsh's excellent vocal. The song "Point Of Know Return (1977), also the album title track features violins played by Robby Steinhardt. KANSAS, BOSTON, STYX, JOURNEY were multiple popularity during late 70's and 80's in Europe, Japan and U.S.A.

Molly

You should check out “Hey Me, Hey Mama (Live)” by Sierra Ferrell! She’s a rising country/folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. She recently made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry! She reminds me a bit of Patsy Cline and Stevie Knicks, but her voice is so unique. She’s incredible live!

Lancer

Demons and wizards I bought that recording when it came out, Uriah heap live, gypsy

Gabriel Romero

If you get the chance check out “Silver” by Woods of Ypres! A blackened doom metal band from Canada inspired by Type O Negative. The singer David Gold unfortunately passed away before the release of their last album but it went on to win a Juno award!

Eric Shimada
>>132919596

Demons and wizard is tremendous album and the song "Paradise-The Spell" is awesome. It's opera type rock song and every time I hear the slide guitar on "The Spell", my tears coming down. Probably, Uriah Heep's masterpiece album. It's very sad that members are not with us (except Mick Box-He still playin' with Uriah Heep) in this era. It's worth to analyzing David Byron and Ken Hensley of this song or the other songs.

João Braz Maciel Puglia

Please, react to Story Of The Blues (live - Gary Moore). Gary is one of the few blues guitarists who has an accurate technique combined with a great melodic expression. The solo he did in the song is amazing and almost orgasmic!

Brandon1879

I would like to suggest "Fighter" by Maria Brink from In This Moment. There is so much emotion and power in her voice.

Bart Wattenberg

Hello Elizabeth, in your video killing in the name of from RATM you talk about the technique of rap. Well have your ever seennthe video of dutch opera singer Maria Fiselier singing Lose yourself from Eminem in de Beste Zangers 2018. https://youtu.be/8YyuIkVSx-8?si=NOLwiOMVhRA_Kx1C Maria really made an effort in training and laying out the song as an operabsinger does. Have fun!

Jesse Brunner

I just finished Dream Theater "Metropolis pt. 1" REACTION & ANALYSIS by Vocal Coach / Opera Singer. You seem to genuinely enjoy it. Now you should to part 2.

Jeffrey A. Smith

Don't know if this is the right place to post this; however, here i go. You might consider doing an analysis of 'The Ballad of Lucy Jordan' by Marianne Faithfull (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0NxhFn0szc) . I listen to a lot of music online and very much enjoy your analyses. When i first heard this song and her rendition, it hit me like a ton of bricks, making me see the world in another way. As a side note, this was also part of the sound track of Thelma and Louise.

Heather

I'm not sure where I should be posting this, but could you please, please do a reaction video for John Martyn's 'Solid Air' live? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owKFZujb4Mw it's just a phenomenal performance and not a lot of people know about him...a unique singer with an amazing voice and technique that I'd love to hear you analyze because your analyses are always spot on! Thank you so much.

David King

As the same as the others, not sure where to make a suggestion. Jimmy Barnes is another Australian singer. i would say either; working class man, khe sahn or choir girl.

Jim H

I've enjoyed the recent reviews at Elizabeth's request for happy songs from Patrons. I think i missed whichever forum that request came in, but I wanted to turn in an assignment in hopes there is always a need for more happy. :) How about Keith Richards and Sheryl Crow singing The Rolling Stones "Happy"? and there is some backing vocals from Chrissie Hynde, too! Maybe Keith isn't the dream vocalist, but i can't think of a song and song title that fits the assignment any better than this, and if you want happy and you want rock-n-roll, then this is as good as it gets. Keith's riffs will have your shoulder, neck and head moving from the opening riff and the crowd in Central Park is infectious. Sheryl Crow's band is tight and yet the feel is loose and it's just great. Anytime i need a pick-me-up and something to feel good, this song is at the top of the list. Please consider this song for the Happy Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b0pCKd5l9Fs

David Ravetti

General note for all new members: comments on this post will often be missed by Elizabeth and Kirk since this is just intended to provide an overview of resources for patrons, so notifications for new comments are likely to get lost. For song requests the two best places are (1) making/upvoting comments on the latest YouTube videos, where such comments are tallied or (2) joining the Discord and using the patron suggestion system there. Because of the volume of requests coming in (thousands of patrons and millions of viewers), individual requests aren't really viable so there needs to be a collaborative effort with other viewers/patrons to help bring the best options forward.

How about these 2 highly "charismatic voices", one covered in many reaction video channels, one not - Joe Cocker's With a Little Help From My Friends at Woodstock. And Aphrodite's Child (Vangelis and Demis Roussos) It's Five O Clock

Daniel Kleppinger

Would like to get your reaction to Don't Look Back off of Boston's second Album, that is the song that turned me on to them

Neal Vick

I just wanted to say thank you for covering The Cult's Fire Woman, one of my favorite bands and I am glad you enjoyed the song. Ian also fronted The Doors back in 2002.

Ziggi

Look up Julianne Regan from All About Eve... One of the best haunting voices I've ever heard. Wild Hearted Woman, Martha's Harbour absolutely amazing

Mat. Hold.

Please analyze an Elliot Smith song, hard to choose which song, but if you're a sap, then you can't go wrong with 'Between the Bars.'

Zach Harris

check out the veer union; seasons is a great song to start with

Brian

Could you analyze song by Tom Jones called I'll Never Fall In Love Again. I live in Wales just few miles from Tom's home town. I first heard this song last year and thought it was great. Looked to see if you have done any of his music but couldn't find any https://youtu.be/sdDVMCbG0FM?si=cebSDGt_aj-eqle4

Hi! I stumbled across a beautiful song with tons of emotion and really interesting vocals that I'm surprised hasn't been featured, it's called "Hospital for souls" by a band named "Bring me the horizon" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjOSydtI38Q) . I would love it if you checked it out, it has a huge emotional impact ❤️

David Midyett

I'd love to hear your take on Meg Washington's "Lazarus Drug" . She originally released it on her "Batflower" album in 2020, but it has taken the internet by storm after being included in a special episode of the kids TV show "Bluey" that she voices a character in. Also interesting that she has a stutter when she speaks... in an interview she said that she only feels "fluent" in music. My favorite version of this song is an acoustic performance released after the Bluey episode... https://youtu.be/b0Pbx815mWk?si=2vk-fqhYsZUi_wKq

I am a long time Leonard Cohen fan and his poetry always inspires a powerful emotional intimacy and he puts them to such beautiful musical arrangements. Perhaps my favorite is "Dance Me to the End of Love", https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DIAF4d372uc, which was inspired by the Holocaust. Another one you should consider is the massively covered "Hallelujah".

Ronny Eriksson

I know that you done a few Amy Lee reaction videos, but you should have a look at Broken with Seether and Amy Lee, it is a master piece, the studio version from The Punisher album.

Think you'll enojy reviewing Tim Minchin-Dark Side for the performance aspect/vocal, Beth Hart-Am I the one-Vocals, and Melissa etheridge-Watching you

Tim is a force of nature. Musician, songwriter, playwright, actor, comedian, activist. White Wine in the Sun never fails to make me cry and miss my family.

Adam Alexander

Would love to see an analysis of Jeff Buckley someday. Absolute legendary vocal range. He has some fantastic songs like Grace, Last Goodbye, etc....I think a great live example is 1995's Mojo Pin in Glastonbury. Love your content!

AtomicPunk

I have been watching your videos on YouTube for months now. It's actually become my favorite way to listen to some of my favorite songs. I love the insight you bring to songs I've known and loved forever. I also love watching the pure joy of discovering these new to you songs and artists.

AtomicPunk

Thank you for bringing joy to me.

AtomicPunk

I would love if you would analyze something from Tesla. Love Song I think would be a great start. Here is a link to a great live performance.

Dean Horne

One song on my happy list is "What's Up" by Linda Perry and 4 non blondes. It has the infectious ability to get people happily singing along.

Ms_Bobasha

So I’ve been watching your videos for several months, now, and I am fascinated with your analysies. Today I watched Space Oddity and then…you did Human Behavior. Wow, you have no idea what Pandora’s Box you’ve just opened up. You just got a taste of the good stuff. If Human Behavior is a sampling of Bjork’s talents, her back catalog is an odyssey into the mind of a musical creative genius. I joined Patreon just to tell you that Bjork is a gift. I think you saw the light from the cracked door. I hope you are prepared for the blast of the full sun. Throw that thing wide open and enjoy. Now I have to see if you’ve ever done the Flaming Lips.

Lightmane

Hi Elizabeth. My book, 'Forestera's Fate' was delivered to your PO Box yesterday. Just wanted you to know. I've also narrated Books One and Two on my yt channel, 'Lightmane' : )

You should check out Benjamin Todd’s using again !

Can you review or analyze Til you Can’t by Cody Johnson? It is moving to say the least. Love your passion for music!

WILLIAM PECK

Please react to Gabriel Henrique singing ALL BY MYSELF. THANK YOU

Kiko Drescher

I would love to see a reaction to "Herbert Grönemeyer - Der Weg Live 2003" - He sang this song for his wife that passed away from cancer. His daughter told him not to stop singing - The live version is incredibly well performed and pulls you right into his emotional cosmos. The english subtitles are amazing as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9CnnYhFQHY Sometimes the most beautiful songs are the ones you hope never had to be written.

Jarrod Brown

You should check out Angie Aparo. He was the singer/song writer for Faith Hill’s cry. Amazing vocalist.

Brent Kearney

Have you ever listened to The Tea Party? If not, you really need to listen to Fire in the Head. Amazing song and band.

Michael Loder

Hi Elizabeth - I love Love your channel...Please check out Rush Mystic Rhythms its a great Analysis of the band, I think you will really love it..I love the Poor Unfortuante Soul video ..you are a Masterclass

That's fine if you can actually get discord access. I always get an "invalid" message for trying to sign in using my email address. This kind of bullshit is super annoying.

Michael McLaughlin

Hi Elizabeth, always loved your posts and my neighbor has a sound studio we've sang quite a bit and I find people love my voice! So I decided to join your top tier as I love the idea of vocal lessons as part of the tier. My fave singer right now is Joseph Michael of Witherfall and recently joined as vocalist for metal legends Sanctuary. I would love love love if you could evaluate one of his songs, I like the tune When it All Falls Away as it shows his full range...such a special progressive metal band and he is really unique. Ok so here is their full album which just came out... https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnRtZTMmDVDD8bdXLYpEwufGa3jxVGtQL&si=8t4i7bWqEksjqiD2

U should react to guns and roses knockin on heavens door live either the 1988 version or the 2006. both very good representations of axl roses voice

Ruth Lafler

As far as I can tell, you've never done Journey/Steve Perry. Maybe they are overdone? Nothing new to say? But I've been freaking out over the live performance of "Mother/Father" (Escape tour, Houston, 1981), which is a tour de force for Perry. It also has a random but cool piano solo at the end, kind of "well, we couldn't fit it in anywhere else in the show, so we're going to let Jonathan Cain do his thing for a minute."

Murray

I just joined because I have some obscure bits of music--maybe you can't use them because you want people to get behind your analyses--that I really am certain you will have much to say about. And I don't know how to rescue that sentence! These ideas are not going to be hugely known. In some cases they are very long pieces and I don't know if you have the means or the legal freedom to take 2-minute pieces from them. First, please, The Collectors. This band later became Chilliwack (name of a city in British Columbia) and more pop-y, but The Collectors were serious acid rock shit. In my opinion, Howie Vickers was the best rock 'n' roll voice ever. I say 'was,' but he's probably alive--I just don't know. I was going to pick their album-side-length greatest track, but how about this instead: "Howard Christman's Older." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShHdZImFwZs

Murray

And because I'm not sure I'll get back on here easily (I had to use a code), let me post my other two (for now) requests. First is a para-classical (ancient instruments) group from the NE States called The Baltimore Consort (so, I suppose from MD). Custer LaRue's voice is so pure and heavenly I think it's the most beautiful in any genre I've ever heard. Even put Emma Kirkby into second place! I can't find a live view. SO that you don't listen first, I'm putting a next-best version here. You can look it up yourself for the Consort edition--watch for the "On the Banks of the Helicon" album cover. I play this myself but my voice isn't quite so sweet. Here's the excellent place-holder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UT0N_EvCQ3Q

Murray
>>142838624

Secondly, Fraser & DeBolt. This is an important album in the folk world. I saw this duet several times in a Regina coffeeshop. Alan Fraser & Daisy DeBolt--the latter having died some years ago. To give you a familiar song, here's their version of The Beatles' "Don't Let Me Down." Best version, I think. If you have ever heard the L.A. post-punk band X, I believe they must have heard F&D at some point, for their harmonies--more like their looping and contrasting and sometimes dissonant dual melodies--are just too similar. But you know how gestalt works ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rTU0itJ_x_Q

Elizabeth, watched your review of The Cult's She Sells Sanctuary. Listen to the long version. You'll love the intro.

Hi Elizabeth. From the start when I watched my first reaction video on The Charismatic Voice, I was hooked. Every time my mind thought of a song, wondered if you'd review it and lo and behold, you did. All the wonderful people on the channel bring to you such wonderful, familiar and unfamiliar music to your (our) attention and it's such a great feeling and culture of shared music taste and love for it. So many great bands have sprung to mind over the years, that I would love you to review but just tonight I happened upon a band called Shepard's Reign. I won't reveal too much, you've reviewed The Hu, I love The Hu. I have a passion for indigenous cultures doing Rock and Metal Music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgVB7ZaRdAs or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSNb1LXXk40 You will love the music, the band and the hair.

Casey Laborde

Hi Elizabeth, I've just found your show this last month and absolutely love it! You've gotten me hooked on Ren - both his music and your response to Hi Ren are so human it hurts. Ive been listening to more of his music and watching your show every day and can't get enough! Thank you for sharing, and for doing all this! I sang baritone in choir for years, but never took training for it. It's been so cool to learn more about the science and theory of it through your show!

DAVID SCHWARTZ

Elizabeth, just watched your reaction to Skid Row, 18 and life. I just loved it. I heard you remarking on Sebastian Bach's vocals. I have a few groups that have some amazing singers even if the band didn't get a lot of attention. I think you might have heard of a group called Angra. They ae from Brazil. Their first lead vocalist was Andre Matos, what a vocal range. They have a song called Reaching Horizons, you should listen to that song at least. Another group is called Mass, I think named after living in Boston, Massachusetts. They were kind of a Christian metal band, but had their melodic side and heavy side. They started in the late 80s, but the last album they put out is from 2018. Anyway their lead vocalist is Louis D' Augusta. He can reach the high notes and can get on the lower notes too. The album to listen to is called Voices in the Night. The last band I want to mention is Sacred Warrior and one album in particular to listen to is Master's Command and the guest vocalist on that album was Roger Martinez and what a voice. Thanks for allowing all of us to give recommendations on music for you to listen to. I really appreciate you. Much love ❤️ 😊.

Jeremy Gillespie

Hi Elizabeth! I really enjoy all of your reactions, and commentary about the music that I love, and some that are completely new to me. I have learned so much about music from you. I just watched a NPR Tiny Desk Concert, and I think you need to react to it. Willow Smith’s voice is breathtaking. Please react to it! https://youtu.be/DmC2QQESN6E?si=_TTfOfT6ljXwnUIa

always love TCV and Elizabeth's reaction and would love to see some from some artists that i don't think i've seen covered yet, and i look forward to every Mon, Tues and Fri to see what got posted. apologies if these have been done, but as much as i love Zeppelin, AC/DC, Supertramp and i do like them, especially Led Zeppelin and ACDC, i would love to see some new stuff before hearing a 6th or 7th song from an artist already done. like i totally enjoyed the recent Paul Rodgers / Bad Company stuff. so fun to see a new classic rock artist reviewed. just keep thinking when are we going to hear a review for some of these (in first name ABC order roughly): The Allman Brothers, BB King, Badfinger, The Band, The Black Crowes, Blind Faith, Blondie, Blue Oyster Cult, Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, Bruce Springsteen, Carole King, The Cars, Cheap Trick, The Clash, The Commodores, Counting Crows, Cream, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Dire Straits, The Doors, Earth Wind & Fire, Elton John, Elvis Costello, Elvis Presley, Eric Clapton, The Faces, George Thorogood, Gerry Rafferty, The Go-Go's, Grateful Dead, Huey Lewis, Jackson Browne, James Taylor, Jim Croce, Joan Jett, John Cougar/Mellencamp, The Kinks, Lenny Kravitz, Linda Ronstadt, Marvin Gaye, No Doubt, Norah Jones, Paul Simon, The Police, The Pretenders, Prince, R.E.M. The Raconteurs, The Ramones, Robert Cray, Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones, Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry, Santana, Sheryl Crow, Sly & The Family Stone, Squeeze, Steve Miller, Stevie Wonder, The Sweet, Todd Rundgren, Toto, Traffic, Traveling Wilburys, U2, The Velvet Underground, ZZ Top, 10000 Maniacs, .38 Special, etc. I know some artists are blocked, but wait anxiously for some news ones. will keep fingers crossed for some of these in the future. nothing but love for TCV. :)

Hello Elizabeth, I only have one wish, try The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. The frontman Alex died decades ago, I always thought Bon Scott from AC/DC was inspired by him. The songs The Faith Healer or Isobel Goudie would be great. He has a very interesting voice and a very unique way to sing. Cheers

Gary Wilmot

ELizabeth, thank you so much for the insights and pure enjoyment you provide by allowing all of us to experience long familiar songs in a fresh, new light. I know from past videos that you have enjoyed Peter Frampton's use of the voice box and also have appreciated Steely Dan's irreverent take on more complex compositions. So, I want to encourage you to explore a song that combines unique aspects of both- "Haitian Divorce" by Steely Dan. While the vocals are not specifically the main focus of the song, please trust me that they still have plenty to dig into. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

Hi Elizabeth, I would love it if you checked out Sylvaine vocal play through and screaming tutorial. They are wonderfully talented and haunting.

Hi. Please have a look at the works of Daniel Lanois. Very interesting career path and haunting music of his own: "The Messenger" to "That's the way it is", to name two...

Robert Dietz

I would enjoy your analysis of Queensryche cover of "Scarborough Fair"

Mitch Martin

Your analysis of Steve Perry with Journey (the late 70's, early 80's) would be greatly appreciated. Possibly one of the greatest voices in Rock!

Andy

Great Frankie vocalist from the 90s/2000s to consider would be Sarah McLachlin and Natalie Merchant. Both have great catalogs to choose from.

Dana Lytle

I just saw you analysis of Kate Bush and Wuthering Heights. Two suggestions, listen to The Kick Inside for her true range. The album is uniquely different in every way. Secondly, listen to Pat Benatar's cover of Wuthering Hrights.

i think very highly of your knowledge of music and i would love to see a review of my favourite band PLACEBO on the song the bitter end. the singer has such a great voice

What is the best way to offer song suggestions for review? I have some stuff I would love to recommend though I am sure you get tons of requests

Hey Elizabeth, I hope that your foot is healing. Thank you for the Kasey Chambers reaction. There are many performances that hopefully you will get to from our end of the world that deserve your ears. This link is not only a killer performance, but it also has a story and exists based on a decision made by a cameraman! It is the 1983 performance of Georgia by Ian Moss of Cold Chisel from their last concert ever. https://youtu.be/NhFXjzRRv4w?si=IhxhljkRl9ST83Qg

Hello Elizabeth - Love your reaction videos. Especially Led Zep and Robert Plant. I'm old by not old enough. John B passed when i was 12 so i never got to see them live. You should check out the 2007 videos Celebration Day with Jason B on drums and what I would call a much more controlled and purposeful Robert Plant. The rendition of Kasmir is said by many to be the best one ever. But the entire 2 hour set is a must see. On another note i just saw your Fortunate Son reaction by CCR and you noted how short it was. I will suggest something a bit different. Surely you are aware of Bruce Springsteen. Maybe not the most intriguing vocal analysis, this would be an overall performance -jaw dropping review. He turns a 3:11 recorded song into a 17+ minute religious revival combining several song themes into a storytelling and band introduction that is fun and is the epitome of what he does on stage. Band intro is usually about 2/3 of the way through the 3 hour show, and its mind boggling that the energy can be kept up that long. Just when you think its going to be over, goes to a new level. It may be too long for a formal reaction, but you may personally enjoy the effort. I wish there was a better quality version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r1twvwbB_cU

I recently saw your “Reaction to…” “Gethsemane” from the original “Jesus Christ, Superstar.” Ian Gillan was tagged to play the lead role by Andrew Lloyd Webber. I had the fortune to go see JCS live at the Boston Garden in 1971, after arriving at my last duty station in Portsmouth, NH. I can say that the live performance is so far and above the recorded version. I always liked Deep Purple, even during the Tetragrammaton years, when their iconic song “Hush” was released. Forays into a fusion with an orchestra was tested with the single “April.” Ian joined Deep Purple and released “Concerto for Group and Orchestra,” which was not as well received as they hoped. “Deep Purple in Rock” is what firmly established them with “Child in Time” as the headline song. Back to JCS… Ian’s live performance easily drew comparisons for me to Leoncalello’s “Pagliacci.” The performance by Caruso or Domingo oof Canio had a voice ‘crack” during a particular moment of distraught memory. Ian did the same. At a momentous moment, he fell to his knees and cried with a voice crack that is heard in no other recording that I have yet found. I felt that right to my core. Absolutely one of the finer concerts I have ever been to.

Dan Rice

I would enjoy a review of Alison Krauss's voice. Many think she is one of the top voices of our time.

Just curious if you have ever thought about checking out Dragonforce (power metal band). they have some very intense guitar solos. Some of their epic songs include - Through The Fire and Flames ( A death blow for the faint of heart, for those who have tried to get 100% on the Guitar Hero video game) Also it has over 100 million views, Operation Ground and Pound, Tomorrow's Kings and Three hammers. Just to name a few. Please, Please, Please give them a look. you will not be disappointed. Further more their videos are some of the best shampoo and conditioner promotions ever!!!

Hi Elizabeth, I love your critiques and have learnt so much from you. I fell in love with a band from Brazil about a year ago and can't go a day without hearing them. They have their own music in Portuguese but are amazing at doing covers. They are called MilknBlues but are not very well known. I think the harmonica player is probably the best in the world. (Indiara Saffir). There harmonies are amazing and their lead can sing anything. Some of my favorite songs are Tenesee Whiskey (mashup), With a little help from my friends better than the original, (miss you mashup) and Vicious Smile. I would be over the moon to hear you critique any of these songs. They are on youtube. David

Hello Ms. Zharoff. I'm a new member although I've been watching your YouTube videos for some time. I enjoy how much fun you have listening and analyzing the music you hear. As such, I have two suggestions that I hope you will consider. The first is a number you may have heard because it was the theme of a television show, "Homefires." The actual song is called "Siren" and was composed by Samuel Sim. I would love to hear your analysis of the structure and harmony of the song. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C96U-HqqtpA) At first, one thinks it is Madrigal, but then it blooms into overlapping, almost competing lyrics, tones, and harmony. I love the intricacy and delicacy of it that underlies a certain power. I hope you agree. The second suggestion is by someone I think you've already done but this is entirely different than anything else you might have heard from them. It is "Train Time" by Cream -- with Eric Clapton sitting out in favor of Jack Bruce on vocals and harmonica and Ginger Baker on, of course, drums. I couldn't find a live video of it but the original cut on Wheels of Fire was a live performance: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wX9muArmeFg) The best way I can describe it is seven minutes of Jack Bruce engaging in self-torture resulting in a masterpiece of blues. I hope to join the live discussion soon. Till then, thank you and best of fortune. Philip Greene

PLEASE do a video of ELO's Shangri La! That one is right up your alley, you would absolutely love it and I bet you make tears :)

David Tauber

I write this because I haven't heard anyone ask, but desperately want to hear you listen to two artists. The First is Joe Cocker--I'm genuinely curious to hear you dissect his voice to learn about what helped make him take other's songs, and turn them into something completely new. The second is Tom Waits. Vocally, musically, even experimentally, there has been no one like him. I really feel like he would fascinate you, making you want to learn more. I cannot express how much I want to learn from you about these two artists!

Stephen Williams

@stephenwilliams5962 19 hours ago Love your channel Elizabeth. Have you heard of this Canadian Band " Bachman Turner Overdrive" BTO for short. their biggest hit is Takin' care of Business. But you should check out the song " Hold Back The Water " vocals by Fred Turner from their first LP. BTO. I would be interested on your take of his vocals. he has a powerful voice.

Tyler L. Gibson

I really hope you get well soon! Thankyou for all the reactions you've put up. Your reaction videos are refreshing and the reason I am here on this platform. I'm taking this moment to now add my request: Henning May. If you have not hear this young man sing, please do. Even if you do not ultimately make a reaction video, you simply must hear his vocals. I suggest starting at their cover of Roxanne (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VI4ssGtfdxw) & going from there. You'll even get a bonus listen at Clemens Rehbein with that one :)

James Public

Elizabeth, youre always getting introduced to new music this way, but how'd you like to reverse that one time? Old news to you, but I wonder how many have ever even heard of the term countertenor, and what it means, I certainly didnt, till I accidentally recently heard Fernando Lima singing En Aranjuez Con Tu Amor. Kept waiting to hear his voice, go ahead and laugh! What an amazing new term to search for. Share some knowledge about this with your audience!

Grim

Heyo! If you're looking for something fun and fresh I think you would have a blast reacting to the new Better Lovers song, "a white horse covered in blood." I'm from Buffalo originally, but I didn't hear about this free concert given at City Hall Square by the GooGoo Dolls (who come from South Buffalo). Nit was super humid, and when they started it began to pour, I mean really pour down. They didn't cancel, began to play in the rain, which was a brave brave thing to do. They finished with Iris, and here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HZM0QiuUS8 Watch it and you'll see why I love this one.)

Please give Dragonforce Maximum Overload a listen too. So worth it.. the Harmonies for a Power metal band will blow your mind!! They also have so many more songs that are so very amazing, both vocally and instrumentally. I know your time is precious. They are worth the investment I promise this to you.

Linkin Park announced today that Emily Armstrong of Dead Sara will be the new vocalist. Big props to Emily. Need to have a review of Dead Sara. I recommend the song Lemon Scent

elac1019

Mastodon is a metal band with three very talented lead vocalists, and on every album up until about 2017 featured a guest vocalist who was equally as talented, if not more than the core three. Vocalists are: 1) Lead guitarist Brent Hinds, who has an interesting southern twang on some of his performances, and does harsh vocals. For a good example of his harsh vocals, I recommend their song 'The Wolf Is Loose', and for a good representation of his clean, southern vocals, i recommend their song 'Oblivion'. 2) Who is often considered their "main" vocalist, bassist Troy Sanders, who sings like an evil forest beast who is ravaging the lands or something dope like that. Troy only performs these strange, beast-like vocals that are easy to fall in love with. A good song to experience Troy's vocals for the first time is their song 'Blood and Thunder'. 3) The last of the core three, drummer Brann Dailor. Brann has quickly become the most loved vocalist in the band due to him being their primary vocalist on their newer material. He only sings cleans, and they sound phenomenal. A good song to start off with for Brann's vocals would be their song 'Dry Bone Valley', but really any of their material from the last 10-15 years should include him a ton. 4) Guest vocalist Scott Kelly of Neurosis, who has some of the best sounding harsh vocals I've ever heard. He turned out to be an awful human being, but I can push past that and see the beauty in his voice. An amazing first experience with him would be their song 'Crack the Skye'. Some extra vocalists that can be heard on specific songs are Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, and Cedric Bixler-Zavala of The Mars Volta. Josh is heard on their song 'Colony of Birchmen', and Cedric is heard on their song 'Siberian Divide'. I seriously hope you will consider reacting to at least one song of theirs. If you only wish to do one, all of the core 3 are featured on their song 'Oblivion'. Sorry for the length!

Mike

Hi, i stumbled upon ur videos on youtube and found ur reactions great. I really appreciate ur explanations on how singers use there voices and can change them so drastically in songs. Iv learned few interesting things just by watching handful of ur videos. I like how u describe how singing is so difficult and dangerous if not done correctly and distorted singing isnt just angry screaming, so thanks. Im sure ur busy but when u get a chance check out death blooms by mudvayne, i think u will be fascinated with how ryan martinie destroys the bass.

Coleman Baslaw

Hello. Enjoy your insights and am grateful to be able to have the opportunity to suggest something that you can make magic with, while analyzing this group. Being Canadian "The Tragically Hip" is in our blood our bones and our psyche. "The Hip" are ostensibly the backbone of our personae. There are many songs that I would want The Charismatic Voice to experience by The Hip... "Flamenco" remains the most prolific, the most awe inspiring, the most magnificent the most prohibitively overwhelming lyric and tune that I know. It moves me emotionally every single time I hear it live or otherwise. Please give it a go. "Bobcaygeon" is a close second... Gord Downie, the lead singer of The Hip passed away from terminal brain cancer on Oct 17th 2017. Not a day goes by that I do not think of him. Our entire country mourns the loss of our King. Bless Texas. From the 6.

WE NEED ELIZABETH TO ASSESS EMILY ARMSTRONGS LIVE SHOW FOR LINKIN PARK. Such an incredible performance. And to hear such strong vocal fry from a female is incredible!!!!

Jimmy

I thoroughly enjoy the YouTube channel and have watched dozens of your videos. I'm not sure if my message will actually get to Elizabeth but I would be thrilled to see an analysis of the band "Yes" and their groundbreaking studio version of "Close To The Edge" . I truly believe everyone would enjoy and be amazed by this iconic song. Many thanks from a grateful follower. Jimmy.

I second that, Gord Downie has an amazing and distinct sound. The story teller, the poet. Some of my favorites are Wheat Kings, Long Time Running, Fiddlers Green, Nautical Disaster, Scard, Bobcaygeon. So many great songs. We miss him.

Jenny Hedqvist

Love your channel and your genuine reaction for every song regardless genre. I would love for you to do a reaction video on Lord of the Lost "Raining stars"!! Chris Harms is a fantastic singer and the video is giving the song even more depth. And the other one I would love to see is not near a favourite of mine, but she is an incredible singer with unreal high notes and have won Eurovision Song Contest for my home land Sweden twice. Her name is Loreen and the songs are "Euphoria" and "tattoo". Thank you for giving so much happiness with your channel. //Jenny

karan Gooch

I once heard a thought that the lead singer from raidohead and leadsinger from portishead were the nearest voices to opera with out any training

John Wells

Have you done Willie Nelson and Ray Charles, Seven Spanish Angels? Talk about an amazing duet of two different but beautiful voices.

Darth VanRamage

I haven’t seen you do any reviews of lacey sturm. She was the formal lead singer of Flyleaf. One of the best female voices on the planet.

Joseph

Please do “Fake Plastic Trees” by Radiohead. I haven’t seen you do much Radiohead, but they are part of the Post- Grunge era and Thom Yorke has an incredible voice that will absolutely rip out your heart.

Ron Behro

I have watching the channel now for a while and I wanted to suggest a couple of songs for reaction. Dream Come True by Frozen Ghost and Closer To Fine by Indigo Girls

David Evenson

Just started watching last month. Love it! I would love to see you analyze The Tragically Hip, Amy Winehouse and Journey!

Carl Pierce

Rock song from 1999 that always gives me chills - Carlie Big Potato by Skunk Anansie. She’s got a huge voice. Cheers!

Chains - Tina Arena/Jessica Mauboy/The Veronicas https://youtu.be/nIAOJl4f5Ps?si=2fwXfkHWCHAm3k2v Its an awesome performance from 4 amazing women at the ARIAs in 2015. Tina started performing as a child on an Australian TV show (Young Talent Time) in the 1980s. Shes gone on to forge an amazing singing career. You can see the respect to her from the younger faces of Jessica and The Veronicas. Please enjoy

hey guys, I've joined and payed, But, not receiving any acknowledgment. did I mess up somewhere?

sosodevious

First, I wish you a quick recovery. I also would like to propose for you to dig a little into Brian Ferry's (from Roxy Music) voice - "Avalon" or "More Than This" would be great.

Rod

Would really love you to listen to any Cold Chisel. An Aussie band of the mid 70s to 80s. Ian Moss and Jimmy Barnes are amazing.

Rod

Please listen to Cold Chisel live version of Bow River. You will love Jimmy Barnes voice and of course Ian moss.

Rod

You have listened to John Farnham and loved his version of Help by the Beatles. Please listen to John and Jimmy Barnes (another great Australian singer with one of the best unique voices) singing "When Something IS Wrong With My Baby".

Rod

Please listen to John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes singing, When something is wrong with my Baby. I'm positive you will not listen to 2 better male vocals together.

Scotto

Would love to hear what you think about about the vocals for a band by the name of Zebra. The song is called take your fingers from my hair, off thier self titled album.

Paul Talley

I'd really like to see you react to the Bee Gees "Too Much Heaven". No group has or ever will sound like them and their harmonies are amazing!

Pickle Sandwiches

i would love to see you react to swans, michael gira's voice is one of the most interesting voices i have ever heard

On the songs for baby .. this was never a real band it was a bunch of guys that got together wrote and recorded the music. But they never did tour or anything.. I think they were planning on it but the lead singer ended up becoming a dad and he chose not to follow the path of the musician.. but this is a song he wrote during the process called sprout when he found out he was going to become a father.... If the link won't work you can find it under band name leader dogs for the blind and the song is called sprout https://youtu.be/Sx4G8JXLJVM?si=epmto5fhxvv--fXD

Hello Elizabeth, congratulations on your pregnancy. I couldn't leave a comment on your video, so I am leaving it here. As far as songs for your soon to be born son, I have the perfect song from someone you don't see mentioned a lot. The singer's name is Will Dempsey and the song is The Man You See in Me and was written for his son. He has another song that was written for his daughter and the song is called Best Parts of Me. They are both amazing songs. It's so amazing to see your child grow up. My daughter is 22 years old and how time flies. Anyway, I really love your content 💕. Take care 😊.

Chuck Buttcheeks

Good evening, Elizabeth! I'm a fairly recent listener (just the past couple of years), and am a big fan of your channel. I normally am not one for reaction video channels, but I love yours because it's not just a reaction channel. You have actual insight and professional experience, and it is a true joy to see you discover music. That being said, I have a humble request. There is a traditional Mongolian band called Altai that I found that I can't stop listening to. One song in particular caught my ear, called "Eej Minu", and the performance is fantastic with vocal styles that are mind blowing. I've listened to throat singing before, but this is different than anything I have ever heard, and I would love to see your reaction to them. Everyone I have shown are blown away. I've commented on youtube about it before, but I know there is a lot more traffic there, so it's easy to get lost. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/oIRzTd_Rtqc?si=aK9tO9SH4e38UdNv

Tiger Dan

I'd like to recommend you check out a band called Broken Peach if you haven't already. Here's their YouTube Channel. https://www.youtube.com/@TheBrokenPeach They're a lot of fun. I know Halloween is past, but they do some fun videos for it. Take care!

Wolfgang Tabru

Hi Elizabeth. I found your channel when I was looking for Depeche Mode songs. I have been a fan of this band since 1983. The song 'Everything Counts' changed my life and made me a fan who likes (almost) every song and buys every single and every album and also goes to concerts nearby, like last year in Düsseldorf. I really enjoyed your reactions to the music of Depeche Mode songs and I wish so much that I could hear the songs for the first time too. Even today it is still surprising that you almost always run into a wall when you hear a Depeche Mode song for the first time. That's why I really hope that you will analyze a few more Depeche Mode songs in your wonderfully professional way. Here are a few suggestions: Everything Counts, Shake the Disease, Stripped, Walking in my Shoes, I feel you, Barrel of a Gun, It's no Good, Precious, Wrong.

josh foster

I would like to recommend a song for you to react to, stop the world by krizz kaliko he has a great voice and it is a very powerful song

David Hutchinson

Here is an example of Linda Ronstadt in the Pirates of Penzance by way of bassist Leland Skylar who helped to score the play. He tells the story and about 6 minutes in he starts with Modern Major General and then Linda solos afterwards. Enjoy!!! https://youtu.be/izDRQhrAXLU?si=4_J-wnRnOTUwsIZn

Mike Schenk

Based on past reactions I've watched I have 4 recommendations of bands. Lake Street Dive, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Tedeschi Trucks Band & The Teskey Brothers. All great and unique singers.

Tom Fields

I agree with the above in checking out Lake Street Dive. I love Rachel Price's voice, so husky in some songs. I recommend "what I'm doing here" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcUeothSPyc I also would like you to check out Burton Cummings, from the 60's - 70's band The Guess Who (not The Who lol) there are a bunch of hits to pick from but i think you'd really enjoy "Share the Land". Its harmonies are fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1b54jl7_OA

David de Medicis

Hello long time patron. I recommend this song in every YouTube comment. Over My Head by Kings X at Woodstock 94. The singer is amazing. They have a very interesting and conflicting backstory and are one of my fave all time bands. They were disowned by two opposing communities for being too much like the other one, leading to alienated potential fans all around. I'll leave the surprise of which communities for your research. I think their story is fascinating (it parallels my own life) and I love their music, and the video I recommended would make for great analysis. Their music helped me through deep bouts of adolescent crisis and depression. Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam claimed they invented grunge.

Terry Gibbons

I've been following you for several months, and been dying to see you react to a Bob Dylan song, or even several! He's possibly the most divisive singer around. I happen to love his voice, and think he's one of the greatest singers of the last century, but understand why people don't get him, although I've never known anyone not agree that he's the greatest lyricist of all time.

Team Overkill

Love your channel I see you like Brent Smith of shine down and are a fan of the chelo would love to see you do an analysis of apacalytica I'm not strong enough feat Brent Smith. Thanks your amazing.

Dusty Bieniek

I love seeing your reations and how genuine they are. I would like for you to do a legendary song writer/artist and philanthropist Harry Chapin. I would recommend his live music so you can see how he pulls the audience in. If you want someone who can tell a whole story with just music and make you feel like your are there he's your man.

V Edit

Hi! I love your reactions, especially to System of a Down and Serj Tankian’s songs. I think it would be amazing if you reacted to the newly released music video of Serj Tankian featuring Nemra. It’s a very emotional and powerful song, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it! The song is called I’m Afraid of Stars. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lsCUq0Gqdw

Brian Shambaugh

Hi. Just joined here, but I wanted to say I love your reaction videos on YouTube and I watch them all the time. I love how genuinely happy you get when you hear something new and amazing. If you want to bless your ears, you really need to react to Judas Priest, victim of changes, the studio version. I guarantee 10000% that will be blown away.

- TReed

Hello! New here but have been enjoying your youtube videos! Love your reactions and insight when you watch videos. Not sure how all this works but I would love for you to review/analyze Westlife's "Amazing". So many harmonies and each member gets their time to shine. Keep up the great work!! P.S. Has anyone ever told you that you look a like Jenna Fischer, Pam from The Office?! ;) ♥

Brian Parker

Hello. I’m watching you review Mayonaise and am so happy! Was wondering if I could hire you to review one of my original songs that just came out. It’s called “Untie me” the finale on my 3 song EP called Hold Me Like You’re Home. I’d be honored and I think you’d really love it.

Jared Riecher

Hello I am a big fan of your work and analysis, combining fun and joy with useful information, thank you. There are a few reviews you've made that stand out to me like in a SOAD review noting their use of diminished and relative minor chords in their voices and instruments. I'd like to request a review of a band that I believe is full of talent in vocal (all 5 members involved mostly 2) and musical abilities. The band is Barenaked Ladies and the song could be one of many so I'd start with "1 week" to show talent and humor.

Toni Santino Hammett

Love your channel and the passion and excitement you have for this new found genre.

Listening today to your comme ts on Freebird. If you haven't already listened to it you MUST react to the live version from the Oakland Coliseum. You will be blown away by the energy of the band and the crowd and the guitars are epic. Please consider it. Even if you don't rea r to it you need to watch the peeformance

Hello Elizabeth, I love your reaction videos and your great talent for breaking down the elements of the performances. I'd like to request that you do a reaction video to the Voctive rendition of "Mary Did You Know" performed with the songs composer singing the lead. It is quite gorgeous. I believe you would like it. It is now my favorite Christmas song. Here is the link to the YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaRpeMT1tjQ God Bless

Hello one of the most quirky talented bands to walk the earth "Sparks" two brothers ron and russell mael who have been recording diverse music for over 50 years, there recent single had acdemy award winner cate blanchett as a featured dancer. Recently they won soundtrack awards "cannes sound track award" and best original music at the cesar awards "french equivalent to the oscars" for their film with adam driver called annette which they did both soundtrack and script for. I am recomending their first uk hit "this town isn't big enough for the both of us" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAzESJ62irI P.S. forty years after sparks had a top 10 hit with it justin hawkins of the darkness covered it and also had a top 10 hit

DAVID SCHWARTZ

That was a great premiere today Elizabeth. I mentioned in the chat that I was crying along with you. I am lucky to still have my father in my life at 94 years old. He is on dialysis and has to walk with a walker and has other health issues, at least he is still able to talk with me and have fairly normal conversations. Anyway, I thought you might want to listen to a song that is similar to the one today as it only has a vocalist, piano and light ambient sounds. It might surprise you that it's from the band Dream Theater and the song is called Far From Heaven. You just read the lyrics and it has such emotion there. Then you hear James Labrie singing and it's beautiful. Just adding Jordan Rudess on keyboard and the song is powerful. I actually think the final two phrases of the song say it all. I will let you find the lyrics, so I don't give it away. Actually, another powerful song on the same album as the last one here is called Beneath the Surface. Two songs that deal with mental health in their own way. You won't regret listening to these songs. They are on the, A Dramatic Turn of Events album by Dream Theater.

DAVID SCHWARTZ

Elizabeth, I almost forgot to mention something. Did you manage to get the Metallica music pack yet for Beat Saber. I know you like to play that VR game. Ghe music pack is 17 songs. It's really good and pretty challenging. Just wanted to mention that. Take care, I really love your content. 🥰🤩😊

Stephen Dottavi

I have a recommendation for you and it can be done in a series, Leonarl Cohan Famous Blue Raincoat covers. Here are a few of the artist that have covered this song, Tori Amos, Hayden, Eivor, Aurora, Damien Rice, Glen Hansard & Javier Mas, Nina Persson & Kungliga Filharmonikerna, Sean Rowe, The Vessel Orchestra, Solveig Slettahjell, Karen Jo Fields, Jonathan Coulton, Joan Baez, and Christian Ronig.

M Collett

Elizabeth I beg and plead to you to analyze Hello in There by John Prine please

Hi. Where I can put my money so that my recommendations for reaction/analysys would be heard? I'm sure I have most interesting ones, but from reading the description of tiers I'm not sure whether top tier gives you any way to recommend? Is there any better way?

Hello - great recomendation and I think she definitely needs to cover more women. I want to suggest Goldfrapp - is there a specific process in order to made a recommendation?

Stephen Seest

Please do a reaction video to some of the songs from Epic the Musical.

Shawn Vaughn

Do I have to buy a membership to get you to do a reaction video? I SO BADLY want to see you do a reaction video to Halestorm - I Am the Fire. Please Please Please. I will pay for a membership if I have to.

Mark Rowe

I'm hooked on all these videos! So many bangers! Most of which I've been singing along to all my years... watching and hearing such a knowledgeable and passionate person deep dive into vocal analysis just fills me up! Whether it's something we should all know and love, or a golden oldie from my past I've not heard for a while, I love it all! Your tenacious D was the first I saw, and had to subscribe immediately, so much fun! I'd love to see an analysis of Crash Test Dummies... "God shuffled his feet" or "mmm mmm mmm" would be amazing, I love singing along with Brad, such a deep and mesmerizing voice and giggle worthy lyrics

Philip Greene

You do a lot of analysis of breath control in many of the videos you analyze. I'd like to recommend an analysis of Cream's "Train Time" a lvie version of which is on the Wheels of Fire album. What makes this cut so fascinating -- and so worthy -- of your attention, I think, is the fact that it is Jack Bruce playing harmonica and singing at the same time -- a feat which, as a musician, I can describe only as seven minutes of sheer self-torture. I hope you'll give it a listen. I think there is a lot there for you to explore and for the fans to enjoy.

Daniel Marion

You've created a rabbit hole I can't not go down! Love the videos. I have three recommendations...1. Sugarland - "Why Don't you stay", Reba McIntyre - "Fancy", and Vince Gil - "Go Rest High on That Mountain". Have a great day!

Jason Ralph

Just fyi you have a fake account impersonating you on YouTube.

Robert Arnett

Hi, just joined. Please consider an analysis of Bobbie Gentry's "Ode to Billy Joe".

Jim Sunderland

Please Eddie Vedder covers bob dylans master of war, vocals only

So I'm huge into Japanese music, and I'd love to hear an analysis of a particular J-Metal song from the 90s. Bel Air by Malice Mizer. Now the singer for this was classically trained and can sing in MULTIPLE octaves (the first time I heard him, I thought there was an uncredited woman on a track, but no, it's just him). Near the end of the song you will hear him singing in a falsetto in the background. (also, please note, NONE of the members of this band are female, but there is one member, Mana, the guitarist who always dresses, very convincingly I might add, in drag) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FK3BJXIJerI This is the official video, but the song itself doesn't start until about 1 minute in. This is part of the musical movement in Japan known as visual kei, which puts an emphasis on dramatic visuals as part of the performance

Hello. So happy to be here. I've been enjoying your reaction videos for the last year or so and so happy to support what you do. Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby boy. When things are settled and time allows I'd love to ask if you could react to more Sinead O'connor. A good place to start would be Troy! I re eat her your reaction to Northing Compares 2U a lot. As you said she brought so much raw emotion through her voice. I believe she touches the soul and is one of the greatest singers of all time. Please do more of her beautiful work. She did such a wide range of music there's so much to explore! Anyway I'll stop now.

Ragnar66

Hello, new here and big big fan of your utube channel. I was wondering if you could analyze the song "wasted love" of the artist "jj" winner of this years european song contest and him singing opera and a c6 as a guy in this song! Would be very interesting to hear from you how a guy can possibly do such thing. thanks a lot!!

Siiri

Excellent work and congrats on the baby! Would love to see you analyze the group Stray Kids, specifically Lee Felix’s voice I think you will find it very interesting to dive into. A good starter song that highlights his voice and the others in the group is Megaverse, or Maniac

Niklas Kenez

You love Jussi Björling, then you should listen to Jussi Björling 2.0 - Tommy Johansson. Tommy is singing the same song you referred Jussi to, so search "O HELGA NATT (O Holy Night in Swedish) TOMMY JOHANSSON". Tommy has the mix of a male and female voice, and he has a large range, so enjoy and thank me later :) Tommy is also a multi-instrumentalist, helping Floor Jansen produce her music since he was one of the guitar players in the same band as Floor's husband - Sabaton. All the best to you and the new singer, and the rest of the family.

Lars Nilsson

Without having a full understanding of all of you who perform these reactions, you are definitely the most interesting to listen to. It would make me very happy if you could do a reaction to Erik Grönvall from Sweden when he sings I Will Always Love You (Dolly Parton/ Whitney Houston Cover) by Erik Grönwall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Hse-9Jv500

No vocal coach/vocal musician has ever reacted to an Inuit throat singer. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see this happen by *someone* in my lifetime.. Tanya Tagaq is a phenomenal person to start with; she makes Bjork sound like a Catholic nun.

Bill W
>>175645822

What does a Catholic nun sound like? Idk about Inuk, but Beth Roars has covered Mongolian and Turkic throat singing groups.

Speedyf A

Would love your reaction to K.D. Langs' cover of Hallelujah - live performance. Incredible Canadian singer.

Jon Walters

Hi guys, best wishes from England. We all have great recommendations for a review. Has anyone heard of lili refrain ? She supported heilung on a tour last year. Just like Maria, she has a massive vocal range, almost operatic. Check her out. Stay safe hugs jx

Ruth Lafler

I know you were going to circle back to Journey. You really need to do a live version. Journey is known for being better live than in the studio. I don't know about the other band members, but Steve and Neal Schon are both performers who light up on stage. My recommendations are: Wheel in the Sky from the Osaka 1980 concert, where Steve does a lot of improvising. Mother, Father from the Escape concert. Just an impressive performance of the band's most difficult song. And I know you're familiar with it, but Don't Stop Believin from that same concert. It would be a chance to concentrate on the performance, rather than the song. Plus it's killer. That whole concert is killer. The quality is really good, because it was being filmed for broadcast on MTV (back when MTV actually played music).

Kevin Cumming

Hi Elizabeth, long term viewer on Youtube. Love the analysis. Question, did you used to do a tier where you could pay to have a song analyzed? If so, do you still do that? Thanks!

Mike Watson

Elizabeth — old man Mike here. Please some more Bob Jovi “Always” or “I’ll be there for you”. Thanx a million.

Aileene B.

I BEG OF YOUUU. I really recommend listening to more deftones, especially their earlier songs and first album. There’s this video on YouTube, you can simply just search it up by typing “1992 deftones”. It should be them performing on a live(?) tv show and his vocals there are really like- stronger if that makes sense! Really should check it out and find out. For their first album, i recommend birthmark, one weak, and fireal.

Dewd

Hi Elizabeth. Congrats on the new kid! Love watching your videos. You may be interested to know that John Farnham used Black Dog as a vocal warmup before a concert, and a sound engineer recorded it. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2Yi6TVi-sU).

Please give one more chance to Avenged Sevenfold and react to song "Bat Country" or "Afterlife"

Tom Fields

Hey Elizabeth / Kirk - congratulations!!! I hope sleep comes soon. I have a one track mind when it comes to requests but here goes: Please, revisit Kashmir Live at the O2. You will learn 4 things in this video 1. Robert Plant is impossibly BETTER at 59 years old. His final sustain at "when I feeeeeeellllll" is incredible. 2. Jason Bonham is the ONLY choice to sit in for his dad on drums as he KILLS it. 3. You will discover why John Paul Jones, the quiet silent guy, is probably the most important glue to the team. The double keyboard and foot pedals for bass, violins and easter sound is amazing. 4. Jimmy Page can be the ultimate conductor on stage - as well as a bit of a goofball. LOL. After 28 years since their last full set - Led Zeppelin is absolutely brilliant. In fact if you have the time, reviewing the last 3 songs from the show, Kashmir, Whole Lotta Love, and Rock and Roll would be AMAZING. It brings tears of joy every time i watch it. The smiles in looks between the guys is telling of how good they know they are. Hope to see you soon !!!!!

Ace66
>>177934302

Yes, this a great idea. You could compare the 59 yo Robert Plant to the 1979 version you already reacted to. I must save this concert is incredible. I think Kashmir is the best of what they performed that night. And yes, Plant is still the same courageous singer he was in the past plus there is a gong. Who doesn’t love a song with a gon.

David Nathanson

Elizabeth, Love your programming. Your analysis and breakdowns are spot on and are indicative of how music impacts lives. For your consideration, Black Label Society, Throwin' It All Away (Live) from the Unblackened Album. Could you check it out? The song effectively showcases Zakk Wylde's musical talents. Keep Rockin...

George Hatfield

Please react to Gary Moore, Still Got the Blues. His guitar playing stands up against SRV side by side. His vocals are so passionate. I'd love to hear your reaction.

Hi Elizabeth - I spent the whole of last weekend watching your reaction videos after discovering your reaction to Marillion and their song The Space. You captivated me with your analysis and explanations. I am hooked. You taught me so much. So I thought I would reach out to see if you would react to: Marillion: Seasons End https://youtu.be/8ypkV1XRwAM?si=Lsp4igfYOWplH5bK Marillion: Neverland https://youtu.be/rWFuzjqJYpY?si=2DNwkNi7u-0-Ve6X Marillion: Afraid Of Sunlight https://youtu.be/5bawDvb6nBo?si=X2ADC2c4Evrrx19h Howard Jones: Hide & Seek https://youtu.be/15-61RSFejc?si=FRGlGxIr-GpQiy-Q Howard Jones: City Song https://youtu.be/49WsTShXepA?si=_MRES52XblaINGLG Steven Wilson - Pariah https://youtu.be/GwfGi_Qomc8?si=90y3QTMPDSuVWxQ0 All Hail The Silence - The Alarm (Acoustic Live) https://youtu.be/A2uZoheNgqY?si=6Qap_t0s1vUYL1N- Many thanks

Hello Elizabeth. Now that I have actually formally joined your channel, I want to start by saying thank you for the hours of uplifting pleasure I have experienced and knowledge I have gained by watching your reaction videos. It has been a great gift to be reconnected with the deep enjoyment of music with you as a guide. I am even considering subjecting you to my voice by taking a few lessons but that might prove too much for even your good spirit to bear.

I wanted to close by saying "All the best" because you have certainly been a very positive influence upon my own spirit and those of several others I know. Thanks for that.

Hello Elizabeth, I saw Ghost on 7/21 in Boston and the whole show was outstanding! It was amazing that durring the show I got vibes from Iron Maiden, Kiss and even Journey. Thier song Peacefield is a step above the rest, it would be a great reaction video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5w-XjMGfR_I

Brian Hopkins

I've have watched a lot of your reactions on Youtube and enjoy them. There are lots of artist I would like you to check out, but I'll start with the Tedeschi Trucks Band. You really can't go wrong with any of their music, but this is one of my favorites: Come And See About Me https://youtu.be/VJaDma8Cc-g?si=KKYKxiANvg3QvVzq

I just saw Ironmouse react to that opera singer guy so I 100% agree that Elizabeth needs to react to her song. I'd also suggest Kim Dracula's song Seventy Thorns feat. Jonathan Davis, or 2 of his other songs, Superhero and Make Me Famous.

Yves Lambert

Hi Elisabeth, Watching your comments on the extrordinary "Voilà" by Emma Kok, I had to propose another song that is very moving. Have you ever heard of Portland ? In Belgium we have a tv show called "Love for music" where musicians and singers do a live remake of a song by another musician in their own style. Two years ago, Portland reworked the song by Jaap Reesema into "now that we're not talking anymore": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-S4cw5IPh0&ab_channel=VTM Please have a listen, it is a gem! Best regards from Belgium, Yves PS And if you like this, there is another one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apbztt5CY_A&ab_channel=VTM

Hello Elizabeth. I am a new member and I am curious if you would do an analysis on Music Box of Fate by Ironmouse. With her back story and obstacles she has overcome, I believe it would be a very compelling video.

Alexander Brackett

Elizabeth- big fan, first time poster here. I don't think you've ever covered The Civil Wars, but it's hard to find a better male/female singing duo in modern music. They have a country or roots music flavor and have recorded some terrific VH1 live performances. I particularly love Poison and Wine or their killer cover of Billie Jean. Please check them out!

Laurent Koubi

Hello Elizabeth, I regularly watch your videos on YouTube. I admire your work and your analytical skills when it comes to music from all genres. It's clear that you really enjoy discovering all these different worlds. I wanted to share with you an artist who is sensational in his virtuosity and yet so little known. His name is Steven Wilson. The song I want to share with you is, in my opinion, one of the most moving he has ever produced. It's called Pariah, from his album To the Bone. It's a duet with another artist, Ninet Tayeb. It's a moving, powerful song, beautifully composed. I would love to hear your opinion on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNTaFArEObU&list=RDcNTaFArEObU&start_radio=1 If you feel like discovering more of Steven Wilson's work, he has a very eclectic universe, although mainly focused on progressive rock and metal.

I love watching your reaction and analysis of various artists; especially those first time listens! I like how your explanations are in laymen's terms (for the most part). More importantly to me... you explain the emotion invoked by the music! Music appreciation does not require a master's degree. (Sorry. This is the third time trying to edit this post.). A little history about the Eagles; the band was very popular during the '70s. When they broke up in 1980, they were asked if they would ever get back together, the answer was "when hell freezes over!". In 1994 they re-united and recorded the album Hell Freezes Over. During the filming of a live concert in Melbourne Australia, Don Henley explained that they were on their way to the recording studio when 9/11 occurred. "Hole in the World" was recorded as a result of that day. I would absolutely love to hear your analysis of this song! It features a five part harmony that is amazing to me! Please enjoy! https://youtu.be/X2gLI3_xfm4?si=zoyofn_XAqRpCU1a

Hello! I love your content so so much. Unfortunately I’m not very wealthy so I can’t buy the patreon membership, but I would if I could. I would LOVE it if you please please please did a yt video for the song “Lover you should’ve come over” by Jeff Buckley. It would be incredible. Thanks!

Richard Draxler

I have just found you on YouTube just recently! I used to be in radio. In fact, I went to broadcasting school (a long time ago, I might add). Listening to you talk about voice, breathing, and everything that goes into how words are created, it has just been amazing to listen to! When do you do the live chats and the like? If possible, I would like to get in on them! That is, if I’m not working. BTW, since seeing you on YouTube I have shared your videos with a number of people, many who have been VERY GLAD I did!

Erik L.

For an amazing, emotional soul stirring performance, I’d like to recommend Fiona Apple singing Elvis Costello’s “I Want You “

Mike D

I really enjoy your YouTube channel and how you "geek out" on unique performances. As a proud Canadian, I suggest you review the live performance of K.D. Lang singing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, especially the version for the opening ceremony of the 2010 Olympics. It gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.

Christian Danielson

I’m a big fan and subscriber to your YouTube channel. My favorite singer of all time has a deep spooky dark brooding voice that I find completely unique. I would love to see your reaction and analysis of Mark Lanegan. This live video of Garave Diggers Song from 4AD sessions is a great one that really showcases his style. https://youtu.be/n71IvWoS1Ys?feature=shared

Elaine Cherry

I became a big fan of Elizabeth when she reacted to Dan Vasc's Amazing Grace. That was a long time ago and I was so hoping that she would come back to him. Two of Dan's songs that I know she will be interested in are his covers of Bring Me To Life (Evanescence) and Gethsemane (Jesus Christ Superstar). I will be over the moon if she picks one or both. Thank you so much.

Niklas Kenez

I know that you would love Tommy Johansson! A substantial number of reacters have reacted to Tommy Johansson (former guitarist in Sabaton) and also claimed that he is better than Dan Vasc. Tommy has a large range without any glitches, fantastic vibrato, and a mix between a female and male voice. To react on his band "MAjestica" could for sure be interesting since they are all great singers, and their music is of neo neo-classical metal style. https://youtu.be/rBJ7L5LyAk4

Tim Morgan

Has any? One heard of allison shapur

Tim Morgan

Has anyone heard of allison shapira?

Travis Flowers

It has been awhile since I have content here. I was wondering if Elizabeth has made a post on Sugarland / Jennifer Nettle song "Stay"? if not i hope that this community would like for her to.

Susan

I was wondering since I know Elizabeth loves harmony, if she has ever analyzed the Osmond Brothers from the mid-1970’s?? They are 5 brothers, who without the support of American radio, still ended up selling 75 million albums!! They WERE that good!! There is one song named Let Me In from ‘72 put up on YouTube by Musikladen that really shows their harmonies. It’s from what is called “soft rock” BEFORE “stadium rock” and the AWESOME VOICE of Steve Perry an d Journey came on the scene! Please give them a listen for me?? Thanks!!

LA Wise

I’m kind of new to your YouTube presence and I’ve been watching quite a bit. I can tell you like live performances so here’s one that may blow your mind. (Maybe you can feature this guy and disclose breathing techniques from such a little diaphragm.) Cheers!!

Don Williams

I know you have over a million followers, congratulations BTW, so the odds of you seeing this and responding is low. I wanted to drop you a note to point out something I think you would absolutely love. The vocals are truly amazing. The power , the control, the emotion. It's like nothing I've ever heard before and I've listened for a long time. The song title is "Meat" and it's on the "IOMMI" album. Even if you don't do an analysis. I feel strongly that you would be in awe.

Kevin Segers

I also have a song you would really like, It is from a belgian singer on a tv show so not well known. The singer is Johannes Genard from the group school is cool. This is the particular song for everyone who would be interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PdSvchPbmo

Paul Stonchus

I think a Melissa Etheridge analysis would be great!

Jim Luterman

I really enjoy this channel and getting a new appreciation for songs/singers I’ve known for a while. Many of the recent analyses seem to have focused on singers with relatively nasal sound qualities. For a totally different vibe, I’d love to see an analysis of The The. Matt Johnson’s voice is silky smooth and would be a great contrast. Would suggest ‘This is the Day’ or ‘Slow Emotion Replay’ to start!

7sierra tango1

I love your analysis of various artists. The wakka wakka just kills me. Lol.... would love to hear your take on the new dream theater . Ernie Ball just released a In studio set of songs from them. Would love to hear your opinion.

george holder

With all the songs in the "Blues Brothers" movie , How many reaction / break down videos could you get ? (just asking for a friend , yeah that's it for a friend )

george

Let's see some alanis morissette

Cathy

I wanted to wish you a quick recovery, and tell you how much I enjoy your reactions. If you get a chance please check out Jay and the Americans. Others are reacting to them out there, but I know your reaction will really stand out. Here is the link to one of there biggest hits "Cara Mia"

John

I'm surprised you haven't done an Alanis Morissette .. univited would be a good start she has a great Unplugged version

John

Also Dead Can Dance.... I'd love to hear your take on Cantara. Its singing but in her own expression , no words..... its very interesting! They have lots of other great songs as well .

John

Last Suggestion (sorry for the spam haha) I'd love to hear you explore Elephant Revival .. they have a cover of Tools "Schism" that is very intersting. Bonnie Paine has a unique voice. I love it ... but intersted to hear your take

Ryan Yarborough

Hi, I really enjoy your vocal breakdowns. As someone with zero musical talent, I like understanding what draws me into some voices more than others. This week my wife and I went to see the Red Clay Strays live. On our way back to the car after the concert we had a conversation on what about the lead singers voice is so remarkable. Can we get a reaction to “Drowning” by The Red Clay Strays. Additionally check out the Western AF recording of this

Steve

Hi Elizabeth, I am really enjoying your reactions on YouTube, so honest and insightful and your enjoyment is infectious. I recently viewed your reaction to "lady" by styx (awesome) and would love to see you react to a different song with the same title. "Lady" by Kenny Rogers is imo one of the most beautiful love songs of all time, and holds a special place in my heart as at 53 years old, I have been lucky enough to meet my lady and will soon be emigrating from UK to Netherlands to spend our life together. The song encapsulates everything I feel, and I sing it to her (rather badly) quite often. I am sure you will love it.. I will post a link below to a fantastic live version. Thank you for your entertaining reactions (especially the huh huh breathy laugh when you get excited lol)..

Keoki

Hello & new to your great YouTube channel.

Keoki

I have an artist recommendation: Maxwell, Woman's Unplugged 1997 is great, great vocalist you will enjoy! Thank you!

Alfred Salvato

I think you should consider reviewing the song Frozen Love off of the Buckingham Knicks album that was just re-released.

Martin Bird

Hi, really enjoying the content and insights that get me thinking even about stuff I'm highly familiar with! As an ex-pat Aussie I'm quite surprised and delighted to see so much stuff from down under represented ... in that vein I have a request/suggestion for a video: "Backbone" by Baby Animals. It's rock, but goes interesting directions IMO. Female lead vocals (underrepresented in the channel i think ;) They're of those bands where every instrument is bringing it. The video is concert clips set to studio-version audio. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WlhmJoPd60Q

RJ Page

Hey sorry if this is not the place for this, but I am not great at Patreon and discord… I bought a gift membership? And need to figure out how to link these things…

Dag The Ger

Sci fi? Time to start a scifi reaction channel. Do star trek, but instead of release order, do a chronological order starting with Star trek: enterprise

Derek McCasky

Would love to see a reaction to Nine Inch Nails “And all that could have been” or “The great below”

Frederick Hennion

Have you done 30 Seconds to Mars track "The Kill"? Great song!

Mary Ann Mermelstein

3 words... Crash Test Dummies! You have to listen to MMM MMM MMM MMM

Derek Berg

I highly recommend checking out Here Come The Mummies http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETHvSTT6PA8 They are supposedly in-Cognito because many are grammy award winning artists contracted to other record companies. Very talented and super fun.

Moishe Weiss

So I just discovered you and I recently saw your YouTube review of Blondie Heart of Glass. A friend once commented that she sounds cold. I think he meant that she sounds cool and calculating without warmth or depth of feeling. I think you should compare that with after she came back in Screaming Skin, where she is a totally new person.

Christiaan van Ulden

You really should watch the latest Floor Jansen duet at 'Beste Zangers' with Maria Fiselier. A number original performed bij Andrea Bocelli. This was a special episode of 'Beste Zangers' to raise awareness and donations for children with cancer.

Sftefan

You really should react to du måste finnas by Helen Sjöholm. I’m 110% you would love her voice and the song
