Hello everyone, I'm currently debating the Hotel Owner options, and I figured I'd ask you for input as well! Here's what I have in terms of choices:

  • Owner is a completely innocuous and background element of the Hotel, and you had no idea this entire time. You've noticed a small rat frequenting the hotel grounds, and you worried it might scare away customers. The Centaur Manager finds you with oven gloves, stuffing said rat in a transport box. He stumbles to stop you, sheer horror on his face, as he explains that it's Mr. Owner himself. He has a deep, elegant voice and cheerfully accepts your apology, then asks for a cup of his favorite Darjeeling tea.

  • Owner is a grandma you find in some random hallway. A human? You thought you were the only Earthly being here. She has a sweet voice and tells you it's the disguise she uses to keep everyone at ease. She asks you, cheekily, if you'd like to see her real form. Before you can agree, the door breaks open and several staff members rush in, pale and weak. They confess that Mr. Owner is a Primordial Being, so ancient and terrifying that its raw appearance has caused thousands of monsters to go mad. Even Toby shudders upon remembering it.

For the former, I could've gone to even more ridiculous extents, but I have a similar idea for a guest: a regular house plant that you're supposed to water carefully every day. When you accidentally use sparkling water instead, the Minotaur Maid reveals in a panic that the household plant is your largest investor. He's a plant mimic.
