Hi everyone 👋

In the previous devlog, I mentioned that we now have new party members: Misha and Astro.

I want to clarify something important:I do not plan to give them permanent transformation scenes in this update.

I want them to carry more narrative weight in the group first. I don’t want their development to feel rushed by transforming them too quickly (I received several comments about Elena in the previous update that made me reflect on this).

However…

I had an idea for those of you who enjoy transformation-heavy content.

I could introduce additional companions, but they would not be fighters. Instead, they would act as lore-based companions or followers.

The reason I wouldn’t make them combat units is simple:Having battles with more than 7 members can easily become tedious or overwhelming.

These companions would:

Travel with the party

Expand dialogue and character interactions

Help develop Mikaria, Majora, and the group

Have larger transformation scenes

Serve as emotional or narrative support

They could be:

Returning characters (like Valtheris, Greg, etc. Of course this would have an explanation and lore)

Or completely new original companions

This would allow transformation-focused arcs without affecting the combat balance or rushing Misha and Astro’s development.

But I’m not sure how you feel about this idea.

Poll Question:Would you like additional non-combat companions with their own transformation arcs? Please vote and let me know what you think, and if you agree, who or what kind of follower you would like to see! 💜

Yes, a million times yes!! I love having companions that don't impact combat particularly, but have a bunch of other ways they leave their mark.

Might not want to add a lot of sprites as it could lag some people's computers/laptops. The KIS method.

I think I mentioned doing something like this on one of your posts a while back when you were originally deciding on what to do with the companions so I am 100% on board with this. I'm fine with them either being constantly seen with the rest of the party while with you or just having them only show up when they have some sort of interaction if there ends up being too much on screen but the game treats it like they are always present. I think having temporary companions not only helps with what you highlighted, but can also make the world feel more alive and dynamic as you will be able to possibly have some of the NPCs for quests now travel with you for a time only to end up getting transformed or something while with you. For example could have a quest for someone who wants you to protect him while he investigates a ruin so he comes with you while exploring possibly adding dialogue about the area and interacting with the party but while he is with you he ends up activating a trap and ends up transforming himself, can even at that point possibly turn them into a combat encounter you have to fight or something if wanted. Or have someone you find injured or lost in the wilderness who joins you so you can escort them back to civilisation only for them to end up being transformed on the way, can also add some temporary companions that can betray you leading to some interesting encounters or developments.

Personally I don't mind the large combat teams, more attacks makes easier fights for you, but I can also understand non-combat at camp companions, I'm fine with either way, but I would really like if they end up non-combat camp companions, that you could have a sex scene or something with them that's repeatable, well, only when they're fully transformed, but yeah something like that.

Could do with a party swapping thing opposed to the large team.
