Content

This is a pretty easy poll... Many transformations in the game do not only change the body. Some also affect personality, behavior, desires, memories, instincts, or even the way a character sees themselves.

However, I know that different players enjoy different levels of mental change. Some people prefer transformations where the character keeps their original mind and personality almost completely intact. Others prefer stronger corruption, where the transformation slowly changes the character’s thoughts, personality, or identity.

And some people enjoy both, depending on the scene.

Poll question:

How much should transformations affect a character’s mind?

This will help me decide how to write future transformations, Bad Ends, corruption scenes, and optional side content.

Hope you all have an amazing weekend! 💜

This one is very dependent on the TF really. Hard to but this all in one option

I'd argue Elena leans more towards strong personality changes. She stills remembers people and can understand things similar to before, it's just put in a new lense that causes her to not care much at all.

I think a balance is good. With something like the goblin or cow transformations, a psychological element will obviously be present due to the magical influence of the substances used to induce the transformations (potions, enchanted milk, etc), but there's a lot of room to expand more on non-mentally influenced transformations, since the majority so far do influence the mind directly. It would be cool to see a character or two not be okay with a transformation almost immediately. We've seen it from an outside point of view (characters not being okay with someone else's transformation) but it would be interesting to see a charater's reaction to their own transformation as well. How that would look in the story, I'm not entirely sure, though.

Somewhere around Edith and Majora for me, but yeah, it depends on the TF and the character as well. Some people deal very well with mental TFs and adapt (especially when it's something they already fantasized or wanted about), others not so much. So imo it still needs to be on a case to case basis. It's a good poll to gauge audience preferences, though.

I am more a fan of a slow corruption, as a form of character growth. Sudden strong mental changes like Edith are still ok. Extreme ones like Elena for example, where the whole personality is just replaced in an instant, don't give me much. It's like killing of a character and introducing a new one. There is no growth, no struggle, nothing to adapt to, just a new person that you have to familiarise to. Of course, other characters have to adapt to this change as well, which would be kind of like if a character had just died and you were mourning him. Which, in the end, is more sad than exciting for me. That doesn't mean these changes can't work, nor that they're inherently boring. It is just not my cup of tea.

Mental changes and Transformations are two different things for me, they don't depend on each other. Sure if your body would suddenly take the shape of a typical bimbo in an instant, most would expect the horny dumb mental changes as well, but keeping the original mind intact could also be used for interesting situations.

I checked the small personality changes, but what I'm actually referring to (and my personal wish for the development of Mikaria) is this: Slow and inevitable attitude changes based on the new acquired form. In this scenario, Mikaria for example, will be more and more used to her body and her assets and by doing stuff and living in this condition, her mind will start to adapt to her new form. As we saw during the transformation, at first she was reluctant, but then endend up giving blowjobs and now is starting to enjoy more what her body can do. This can be applied to anyone. Even Edith or Elena that turned goblin: she could learn what specific move a goblin can do, or a Bimbo can do, and ultimately accept their fate of being changed. It's not a "mental trasformation" for what I intend, but a Darwin consecution of conscience of anyone, getting used to the new body and exploring with it.

It really depends on the tf and outcome like for example I can enjoy a full on mental tf with new memories, personality and so on but the end result has gotta be good in the end, for me personally I didn't enjoy the tf Edith went through but Elena's I was more alright with as Edith atleast for me got a bit annoying with what I played, might have happened too fast and suddenly aswell

Void Butterfly

Some of my favourite types of changes are where there are strong mental desires of their new body and they try to fight the new urges and retain their identity of their previous form but gradually lose out to them until they eventually give in maybe leading into their mind being either partially or fully corrupted at that point. Also while I am a heavy full corruption fan I also like most other options though always prefer there to be at least some mental changes and always some new urges to go along with their new body. Will also mention I think Elena/Grazga was a good balance with the mental effects with her being heavily corrupted and being so completely different to their old self but still retaining some thoughts and parts of her identity with them kind of being filtered by her new goblin mindset.

I personally think it's very tf depending. Having a spread like we have helps keep things fresh and engaging.

BlightedOne

I think a case by case basis is best for this sort of thing as it really depends on the what, when, and why as to what will fit best. Plus a variety spices things up.

As long as it's unique. My issue is repeating the goblin TF over and over. I understand that some people here would say you can't have enough, but I personally like characters that retain at least a bit of intelligence. Funny enough, though I'm not a fan of the Majora TF, I am a fan of how she holds herself post TF.

Feylamia

I love personality changes, which go with transformations. To me it is part of involuntary transformations to also be forced to act and think differently.

joeyjoejoejrshabadoo

Agreed. I would kind of like to see some instances where the original personality returns - for example, like Grazga still keeping her changed name and goblin tendencies, but more of Elena’s personality returns - a more capable (and potentially dangerous) smart goblin like Tomoko maybe) - could even make it due to the shock of losing Griska. Not to say that identity death doesn’t have its place for some of these, but I’d prefer the original personality having to deal with the feelings and desires of their transformed body and anatomy.

I had an idea of a different kind of corruption one I've played in another indie game called Rise of Corruption. Instead of a complete new identity, more of an altered obedience corruption that turns the person dark and into a slave that wants to serve their master and definitely has a TF element. In Rise of Corruption that TF is an innocent into a succubus slaved to a dark lord. She turned whole heartedly evil through her eventual corruption and it was gradual. Sex was the trigger but also had hypnosis as part of it but she had to be released from the hypnosis and accept the corruption herself voluntarily. In the end she desired to corrupt others for her master. She also orgasms every time she says master which just makes her want her master to f!@k her all the more. Her only desire is to see her master's cock served and to serve it. Note: this is just an example. Im not a asking you to direct copy another's work.
