Hello! 💜

This week we continue designing Zendaria’s true form. From the previous polls, we already have some things decided:

Her eyes will be violet with slit pupils

Her hairstyle winner was Option 11

Her skin color will be purple / violet

So now we will decide Her hair color.

I wanted to leave this part until after we had the hairstyle, because I think color makes much more sense once we already know the general shape and silhouette of the hair. Hair color can change a character a lot.

I kind of like the red, but colours like this don't really feel like Zendaria to me. It's kind of strange seeing dark blue getting so few votes when, you know, that's probably the most similar colour here to what she currently has in her supposed "toned down" form. Don't get me wrong I like the red a lot but I would rather it be on another character or something. I said something similar in the eye poll, but if both forms are going to continue being used in the game, I really think there should be at least a few traits shared between them so they actually feel like two appearances of the same character. Right now, I'm struggling to see much of Zendaria in the "true" form at all, with most of these options coupled with the previous options chosen she looks like she is basically just becoming a whole new character with no relations to her which would be fine if she was the only version of her in the game and she wasn't apparently keeping her current form as her "disguised" form. For example, her current appearance has like dark blue hair/purple-ish hair but if her "true" form actually has red hair, why did Zendaria choose to change her hair colour when creating the more approachable appearance for Micah/Mikaria? Are we supposed to believe she didn't want him/her to know she was a redhead for some reason? lol. Otherwise why wouldn't she just also have red hair in her "disguise" form? Don't mean to be overly nitpicky or anything, I just really like having some level of character design consistency especially when it comes to them having alternate/multiple forms.

Got a few here i think work. I personally like 1 or 11, but 6, 7 9 and 10 I think work well too. Mostly I feel (personally) that whatever is decided should contrast with the rest of her darker appearance and be (at least a bit) brighter in comparison

I've personally always been a fan of highlights and gradients, but that would make the polls ridiculously bloated. And gradients doesn't really fit Zendaria imo, unless its something like black with red at the tips or red with purple/blonde at the tips. Would be interesting for other characters, maybe.
