Chapter 6 Peeks (Patreon)

It's been a while since I showed off any teasers from the new chapter!

I've been doing some work on the flow of it lately and changing things around a bit from the original plan. A scene with MC's fathers grew substantially as well. What was outlined as a fairly simple conversation sort of took off on its own. I felt there were things our dear old dads would really want to talk with MC about, so I let it flow.

Papa leans forward. "We're proud of ya, Sprout. And we'll always be regretful that in yer hardest days we were far away. I regret not goin' with ya, but I also must be truthful that I don't know how yer da would have gotten on without me. The Twinflowers were scramblin' with their own troubles, and with spring here, most of the neighbors we trust had no time to spare."

"I'm glad you found your strength," Da says. "But to learn that you were abducted…after all that. It's like a sick joke." His voice cracks with anger and sadness as his eyes well with tears. "If those idiots weren't already dead, I'd…" His jaw quivers. "Neither of us was there for you in that moment, and I hate that. I hate it so much. I don't think I can thank Aster enough for what he did…."

Needless to say your fathers emotions have been all over. Papa is keeping things mostly together for Da's sake because your poor Da has had a really hard time.

After MC chats with their fathers, they can start having some unique moments with the ROs. Such as this one with Duri which will lead to something fun later:

Straw begins to flutter down from the loft from between the floorboards as Duri stirs. The chicken waddles out into view, clucking what you interpret to be her disgruntled opinion on your interruption.

"Do I want to know why you have a chicken up there?" you ask.

Duri pops into view, skips the ladder, and simply hops the large expanse to the floor. The dogs yip excitedly until Duri's eyes glow slightly and they immediately settle. Giving you a lopsided grin, Duri saunters toward you. "She gives me breakfast each morning," he/she says with a shrug. "I figure it saves a step by keeping her up there with me."

"But yet you show up to eat every morning at the house..."

"It would be rude not to." Duri wrinkles his/her nose at you. "So, lambchop, are you here to be my lunch? Because you look good enough to eat." He/She gives you a large and toothy grin, fangs out and on clear display.

If you thought Duri would stop making cracks about eating you - you thought wrong.

Other than this, I've been working on a redesign for coding spicy content both in the extras and in the main game. It took some hammering (after I broke the third computer, I figured out that I shouldn't use a hammer), but I think I found a system that will enable much more inclusivity and customization capabilities. Now, I just need to put it to practice. The Raven Tier can expect to take this for a spin next month with Rune's NSFW extra!
