October Teaser (Patreon)

Hello and happy October, everyone!

I wanted to pop by and offer some teasers for what I'm cooking up this month. It may be a bit quiet here until mid-month, but I am writing away. This week, I'm off work and am traveling with my spouse for some of his work stuff. That means extra time for me to do things I actually like - such as this. We took a fun-day today and toured a cave. It was...inspiring (don't worry about it). I may pop some pictures on Tumblr if anyone is interested.

Here's a little snippet from the "Daddy was a Killer" IF sample that I'm working on...

You hear Dr. Walkenhorst shifting around. "Let's start by addressing how it is you came to my office."After sighing, you reply…

1. I sought you out myself because I know I need help.

2. I was court-ordered to get help.

3. Someone I respect asked me to get help.

..........

Your hands begin to shake.

"You can do this," the therapist chimes. "You're simply recounting facts."

Nodding, you take another deep breath. "There are some dreams that aren't as surreal. They've gotten me into trouble." You sigh. "My issues started keeping my neighbor, Shiloh, up at night. Apparently, I kept screaming, and it worried [choice: her/him]." Your voice catches. "And then…the sleepwalking. I tried to hide it, not that I have many people to hide it from…but I kept waking up in strange places, places that were in my dreams. Sometimes, I would get hurt, but it didn't wake me up."

"Where did you wake up before you sought out a counselor?"

"Interstate 55."

Obviously, your MC has some issues here. Each of the three choices will be similar with a different flavor (essentially the same problem but different paths). They may change some other things for your MC as well.

I have two gender-selectable ROs planned. One, of course, is your neighbor (they're the only one with a name so far). The other is still in the air, but is likely going to be a friend to your MC. There's going to be at least two non-selectable ROs as well - a woman who is a detective and a man who...smells like pizza? If this one is chosen for official development, I will expand the list of ROs.
