New Year Salutations, Goals, and New Project Sample (treat)! (Patreon)

Greetings and Happy New Year, everyone!

I hope you are all safe and well as we bust into 2026. I wanted to say hello and drop a little treat for you today, along with some goals for the year. I’ll throw in some personal info just for transparency's sake, since some things may come up in the year that will be good, but could possibly eat up some of my time.

So, the holidays kinda kicked my ass, but actually went much better than they normally do for me. I’m good, I am just very tired. So, if I have felt quiet or a bit off, that’s why. I’m truly okay, this is my usual. In future years, I may take half of December and half of January to just turn my brain off. 2025 was just... a lot for everyone. This year is going to be better, even if I have to beat it into submission with a shovel.

Your content for January will be a mix of things like how December was. Since the Raven Tier polls I ran last month strongly favored (or had no preference) for receiving both gendered versions of spicy content, I will do that. I will likely run a poll on the Raven Tier here soon because I had an idea for something, and I’d like to see what's preferred, since it deviates a bit from my original plan for the month.

Anyway, my major goals for this year:

Release at least two chapter updates for God-Cursed. Chapter 7 is in the works, and I really want to get that out to you by February at the latest. GC’s 2-year anniversary is February 20th, after all!

Select the new project, pretty up its demo, and update the content at least once. For this to happen, all of the project samples will go public. After that, I will accept feedback and run a poll to see which story resonates most with readers. Keep in mind the poll won’t necessarily seal the deal, but it will help guide my choice; the final decision is up to me based on which story I feel I can make worth your while.

Organize and release some merch! This is a new one for me, but a friend has helped me find a place that would host some things. That way, if anyone wants printed portraits, stickers, or even button pins, they can have a place to order them. It would help support me a bit and give you a little memento, too. I am still reviewing this place, setting up items, and then I will order samples for quality testing.

Edit at least half of my novel. This is something I keep close to my heart, and I’d like to see it completed. I will happily share some of it with you when I’m satisfied with it.

That about sums it up. I have some soft goals for the year, but those are the main four that I want to see progress on, and they are things you'll get to experience as well.

If you are curious about my personal stuff, just know that my husband and I are pressing hard to relocate in 2026. We really would prefer to get out of the States, but that is difficult unless you work in particular fields (at least that I’m finding). So, we found a state that is our new goal. The one we are in...is not hospitable and, frankly, is just not doing well. From there, we will work on leaving the country. We always wanted to anyway, we just thought it would happen later in life. We’ve decided to say, ‘fuck that, let’s leave asap,’ lol. All of that stuff is contingent on finding employment and such, and I will let you all know if I experience any issues with my time being eaten up. I do not plan any pauses or anything like that because I don’t want to. Plain and simple, I cannot see myself putting a pause on writing something. I just love this too much and it keeps me going. But life will life sometimes, and I am trying to be cautious of burnout as well.

So, for your “treat,” this is one of a few things I have been working on when I needed a break from GC, and I wanted to share this one with you. It’s not as long as some of the other project samples, but the key motivation here was for me to stretch my sci-fi muscles. I feel like I’m weak in this genre, but I was also surprised by how much attention the Android-story project sample got. I felt like it was my weakest one because a streamlined plot just wasn’t coming to me (it’s a premise that you can do too much with). But a number of people reached out and said it was their new favorite. Now, I’m also wondering whether it is the concept itself or if this genre is simply underrepresented in the IF world. I wanted to try another avenue. You’ll see that it also marries some of the other ideas I’ve had with the other samples. So, please tell me what you think about this and any of the samples you read.
