A Little Something Different... (Patreon)

Hello, my dears!

I have something unplanned for you today. I’ve been a bit out of sorts the last few days. I’m not doing poorly, but I’m not exactly myself either. Most of my focus and motivation remains on Chapter 7; the infatuation is an occupational hazard, lol. Normally, I’d have posted a POV and such by now, but I’ve been so out of my head that I do not have one completed. But I don’t want to just leave you hanging out here either with nothing to read.

In the meantime, I’ll show you a little thing I started just for fun. This was something I began a while back as an outlet for me, something I didn’t have to take too seriously, but I found myself just enjoying. I shared it with a couple of friends who have encouraged me to post and continue it.

This is an intro to a shorter IF that I may work on during downtime or when I’m simply inspired. It probably will not receive attention often, so I didn’t think I’d share anything about it this early, but it’s still a fun read so far. In total, there are around 23,000 words across all routes and such, which includes coding.

I wrote this, actually, because I kept seeing “royal” themed IFs over and over. No shade on them, I still absolutely love this theme. It just struck me as comical because I happened to find several of them back-to-back. All had the same themes — juicy unwanted betrothals and scheming families. So, I just played with that a little.

In this, you’ll pick a background for your MC that defines their traits and pretty much sets their personality. Each MC type, except for two under construction, will have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with each RO. Each route will be marked as complete or incomplete when you reach the selection screen. Even if the route is not complete, you still get a sense of the “flavor” it offers.

In Chapter 7 news, I am wrapping up the last TWO segments. That’s right — two. I will say, though, that there have been a few things that I have decided to back up and add on. Once all of that is tied off, I will do some testing and light editing before I set it loose. My goal is still the 20th, but it's not a hard-and-fast promise. For my own sanity, I can’t do that as there’s not a ton of flexibility in my upcoming schedule to handle unexpected problems.
