Hello, my friends. I just wanted to give you a production update and get a sense of what you’d like to see in July (poll at the end).

For starters, GC Chapter 8 is underway. It starts up right where you left off in Chapter 7 with the new addition to your group. There’s a lot of info that’s shared, a little heart-to-heart to look forward to, and then…something a bit more alarming. :3

There were things I needed to reorder and shift a bit from the original outline, but all told, I don’t think it was as bad as I feared. Several small tidbits were added, along with a few bigger ones. This chapter will likely contain more intimacy, both physical and non-physical, with the ROs than other chapters thus far. I will not have an estimated release date for a while yet, but I anticipate it before the end of the year (which, I realize, probably doesn’t help much).

Along with this, I am currently making extensive updates to the entire game. I’m overhauling the character creation, revamping the setup for sexual content across all previous chapters, and tweaking the personality scoring. This will take a while to complete, but I feel that it’s worth doing sooner rather than even later.

In Lab Rat news, I’ve written quite a bit more, creating a proper prologue and a lead-up to the events that are in the current demo, including more extensive character creation. I will be writing what happens after the final scene of the current demo, so you can see what happens to the MC after their little…medical event. I also decided to use the same Twine Template (by Vahnya) for LR that I used for GC. I tested others, had issues with some, or just didn’t care for their feel. I wanted to use something different, but I do like the form and function of this one. So, I’ve taken some time to play with the theme so it appears different but functions the same. As I learn more coding and whatnot, I may just add my own spin on a few things in the future.

I’ve also hammered out a nice little title card that I’ve attached below. I’m rather fond of how it came out. I plan to use variations of this for each chapter card as well.

So, with that out of the way, I had a thought earlier and wanted to gather your opinions….

Since June was a very production-heavy month, July needs to be a bit more reasonable with extras and stuff; otherwise, my time on GC and LR will take bigger hits across the monthly average time I can devote to them. So, while I mitigate such things, I wanted to gauge which would be more important to you for this month.

Would you rather receive extras as usual, or have me focus fully on Lab Rat so you can get the new demo by the end of the month? If I’m able to get it out prior to the end of the month, I will happily post it early. Raven Tier will still get something spicy in or out of the demo as well. Same as with GC, you will get a 30-day early look before it goes public.

I have no preference, and since I feel that a vast majority are here for the GC material, I wanted to gauge what you’re most interested in seeing before I just assumed anything.

If you’re curious, I’ve been making strides to get necessary things in line to prep for quitting my day job. Some of the anxiety over it has eased but still lingers. I am also really excited about what I can accomplish and where it could lead me in the years ahead.

I had some doctor’s appointments as well, so I could check out something that was bothering me. Funny enough, what I thought was wrong wasn’t, but the test showed a wacky result for something unrelated. I’m good, though; it ended up being nothing to worry about, just something to monitor each year.

I also got a referral to see someone about carpal tunnel syndrome. If I need surgery for it now, I will want to get that done before I leave my job since my current insurance here won’t be as bad as whatever I find later. Surgery freaks me out just in general, but the prospect of long-term damage to my hands does also. I’m curious to see how bad it is and am quietly hoping they tell me I can put it off for a few more years, lol (deep down, I know that won’t happen).

If I need surgery, I will take the time to write a bunch of content in advance so you won’t go without. My preference is to not have any procedures until next January or February. That way, I have the rest of this year to take care of a few important things and update GC. And then I can use up all of my remaining PTO, recover, and then make a rude gesture at my employer as I walk out the door.
