Also this photo of Maria in the Ex Manicomio di Mondello was shot on the Fujifilm GFX 50S II + "Martin" (the Zeiss T* 1,4/85mm Planar ZF named after the Patron that sponsored part of the purchase).

Now that I'm using the Fujifilm GFX 50S II, my idea about image quality has changed A LOT!Actually all this quality is excessive, but I can't live without it, now that I have sampled it.

The comparison with my other cameras has led me to associate the results to other traditional art forms. The files coming from the GFX medium format camera, for the depth of color, the huge size of the 50MP file and the fine detail, makes me think about oil paintings, some of the huge ones you can see only in museums. The 24MP files coming from most of my other cameras, like the old Leica M240, the Panasonic Lumix S1, the Leica SL2-S, are like watercolor, that can provide vivid impressions, equally artistic, but less noble than an oil painting. The photos from the Fujifilm X100VI point and shoot could be compared to quick pencil sketches on a notebook, giving plenty of emotions even with less effort from the artist. Finally, the files coming from the Leica M10 Monochrom reminds me about some Japanese ink drawings, or Western limited edition art prints.Every type of art I've been talking about has its own merit in representing nudes, and every camera I own has demonstrated during the past 10 years to be very capable. In the end, it is just a matter of choosing the right tool for the job at hand, and having so many dedicated brushes to choose from, makes me a very lucky artist!

And today let's enjoy the magnitude of this oil painting of Maria, with a light that reminds about Caravaggio style. This is the pinnacle of quality among my photo equipment, something I did not necessarily need but I'm happy to have, and if you want to make the most of it, please remember to open the image and zoom in all the way to appreciate details and tonal richness.

"Excessive" is not a word you see associated with "quality" often! 😊 It is an amazing picture.
