July 2019.This was a lucky time for my photography, because I was already in Milano for work, and I just had to ask for some time off, and go to my shootings in the city.In this case it was leaving work a little earlier, and enjoying the sunset with Martina on a terrace, when she was still available for me.

I'm not complaining, because also now I am working with great models and my equipment is constantly evolving, for example, I got a new lens on Wednesday, more of an investment this time (if you could ever talk about investments buying lenses), but it is not going to stay idle, as it is also one of the best lenses of all times.I have been searching for a good copy for a very long time, but it rarer than I expected, being a special edition.I couldn't believe having found a good copy at a reasonable price, and I had to jump at the opportunity.I will use it for the first time on Monday, the 22nd, with a new model, and I will finally tell you more about it.

Every time I buy some new and special equipment, I can't help thinking what I could have done with Martina using this gear, and I have already a long list of things I would like to try on her, in my dreams...

But I'm happy also looking back at the photos we have done together, years ago, when she was younger and wild.I love to share these memories with you all.

By the way, this photo was shot on the Panasonic Lumix S1 + the Nikon 105mm f2.5 AI-s, the lens McCurry used for the famous Afghan Girl portrait. Actually I can't complain with this result, and I still hold and cherish both the camera and lens, but I also like to experiment new equipment, and find always new ways to capture beauty.

The stuff dreams are made of, literally in my case.

I think we all have to be grateful for the images of Martina you captured across the years - and to wish her well in her new life.
