I love to alternate indoors locations (apartments or hotel rooms) with derelict places (like abandoned factories or hospitals) because of the different opportunities they provide.Whilst in apartments or hotel rooms I can really concentrate on the model's body, ask for sitting or lying down positions as well, and hygiene is no concern; in abandoned factories or hospitals the kind of poses for the model is limited mostly to standing, but the location becomes a huge part of the image.Indoors we tend to overlook what's in the background and concentrate on the model, but in derelict places we're compelled to acknowledge the importance of the background, and how it is conceptually in stark contrast with the nude body, because the model is not supposed to be there in the first place.Natural places, like the nudist beach I used several times) is somewhere in a middle ground between these 2 extremes, because I can still concentrate exclusively on the models body and ask her to strike any kind of pose, but I can also include the background as an element to make the image richer, albeit it feels more ordinary to see a nude woman in nature.
