Hero shot. (Patreon)

One revelation during these 3 days with Maria, was the Leica M10 Monochrom + Summilux-M 50mm.The lens is new for me, and I'm still trying to get a grip of its performances at various apertures, I'm not trying to remember the apertures I'm using, but surely I'm not so pedantic in using only f2 any more, I just use the aperture I deem fit for the occasion, and I forget what it was after 10 minutes. But I'm also pushing the camera to its limits, and I still like the results.Today's photo is a typical example, with the highest contrast possible between the ground and first floor; Maria is in the middle of this contrast with all of her infinite nuances, rough and grainy, but still full of details, like the pubic hair visible between her legs.
We're going to finish this week with Maria today, only 6 posts, 2 images for every location, and one short for completing the week, and I will also post the last one on DA Subscriptions today, just because during the next week I will have to show 3 hero shots of Maria to the larger public, some really impressive stuff like the hero shot of today, magic stuff in order to attract new subscribers on the paid platforms to see more, starting on Monday. For my Community on Patreon, that have seen 6 photos of Maria already, I will try to find some cute behind the scene / fooling around images to make you feel how Maria behaves in real life.
I cleaned well the railing of the stairs in this photo, so she could rest her hands on it for this picture and for the long sequence that ensued, but I left the floor dirty, so the yellow shoes had to stay on.Fortunately the shoes don't look so conspicuous in BW, so the picture still qualifies as a hero shot and she looks like a goddess escorting us to heaven.
I hope my experiments with this Monochrom camera can help you to appreciate BW more, as it is happening to me.With the other digital cameras, I felt I was merely traducing the color photos in BW, but now I feel I'm really speaking a different language, one that does not translate at all, and is more poetic than any other.
