Get ready to paint another tropical paradise composition with me! We have Monstera leaves, a coffee plant, and a beautiful Rupicola bird; one of the topics we'll dive deep into is different types of bird feathers and different approaches to painting them. I am putting the finishing touches on the voice-over:) See you soon!

Thank you! I am still a beginner but I have followed along some of your more advanced tutorials and while my pieces are not masterpieces by any means, they are still fun to have a go at with zero expectations and a goal to grow :)

I love this so much! The way i learned is exactly like this - from the start I've been "building" elaborate compositions, never quite knowing how to do everything necessarily and just figuring things out as I moved through every challenge. It took me maybe 3-5 years to feel somewhat confident to share my watercolor work but I believe this is the best approach {for some artists, I totally understand its not for everyone}. For this painting, I will be posting the bird outline separately so that anyone can give it a try:)

Ah that's amazing, thank you for sharing that, Anna! Yes, it's the way I work too and I find it more fun to learn this way if you can be OK with whatever the outcome is while you're learning. Which is hard, but necessary haha Perfect, I will definitely give this one a go! I have just been working on your other tropical composition with the spotted leaves -- they have given me quite the challenge and I love it!

Of course Marianne! Those are my favorites to do - but i promised a few beginner - level exercises as they've been requested for so long {actually this one is just as big as the lemon bird - both the paper size and the amount of time it took me. Perhaps its deceiving because the details are quite small}. In any case - more intricate stuff coming after this!:) Thank you, Anna
