This is an ad-free version of the recent YouTube video where I demonstrate the "X-ray" watercolor technique step-by-step. I am now working on a detailed tutorial for Patreon using the same technique and a collection of similar blooms. This tutorial will contain narration and outlines. Enjoy!

Sammie Bryant

Thank you and pleeeze do the peony as a tutorial on Patreon. Peony is my ultimately favorite flower and yours are gorgeous.

Anna Bucciarelli

Thank you Sammie, I just posted a demo with an outline. This was a challenging one but I've figured out a bunch of things so Peony tutorial is on my to-do now. I might pick a different one - maybe less "bushy" because that particular candy stripe variety drove me nuts if I am completely honest. I also have several good references of the red and yellow type. In the mean time, There is a pink peony tutorial you can find among my skillshare classes {on Tier 3}

Anna Bucciarelli

Hi Joan, thank you - I just posted the demo with an outline.

Anna Bucciarelli

Thank you Cindy - I posted the demo today, along with an outline:)

Sammie Bryant

Thank you for replying, it's mind boggling that you are still learning so much, you make it look so simple. i think this stripe one is gorgeous, I have it on a goal list for when I grow up, lol. I think I will try the "Glowing Rose" it's beautiful and loose, it looks Peonyish. Have a wonderful day.

Celeste Godwin

Hi Anna, Is there an outlie for this flower ? It is very beautiful.

Anna Bucciarelli

Hi Celeste, this is a quick study I did a few years ago before doing a full tutorial for Patreon using this technique - you can find it under Botanicals collection, its a Cyclomen:)
