A behind the scenes look at where we stayed in Vera Playa and Elche, a small town close to Alicante airport. We visited here in June 2025 and stayed just outside the naturist resort in Vera playa. The main attraction at this location, apart from the naturism, was the rooftop pool. It was a beautiful place to relax and unwind. The views were also very special, apart from all the cranes and you could see for miles down the coast. The second location was more out of necessity due to our early morning flight but it was also a beautiful tranquil place to spend the evening. Getting there: Manchester airport. We parked at Jetparks 3 which was a short shuttle bus ride to the airport. We stayed at the Ibis budget at terminal 2. With a short walk back in to the airport this is our go to hotel for when we have an early flight with the room price usually costing around £90. We flew with Ryan Air in to Alicante which took around 3 hours. At Alicante’s we had pre booked a hire car from Wiber. When you leave arrivals walk to the line of coaches and turn right. Walk to almost the end of the path and at bay number 43 that’s where the Wiber shuttle will collect you. There are a lot of shuttles collecting from here so just be patient. The bus ride was around 5 minutes and collecting the car was very smooth and the staff were very helpful.
