Hey guys so this weekend we went down to Cornwall and headed to Downderry beach but we were shocked to see that there were signs on the beach that said ‘report all naturists to the police’.

This made us feel a little awkward and uncomfortable when we got to the right place on the beach.

There weren’t many people around and the surrounding cliffs were high…….and we didn’t want to disappoint you all, so here you go. We did it!

I was there a few weeks ago & was told the signs have been written by someone with a grudge who lives near the beach - it seems he has a pack of dogs that run wild & foul everywhere . The police are aware of him & don’t give him the time of day - he may be charged with vandalism over the signs he has written on the rocks- so can be ignored!! (A local told me this!)

Naturist Diary

Thank you Rod for clearing that up for us. It was difficult because the spot we chose was the first cove so we weren’t too sure if we could be nude there, the tide was still cutting off the second and third bay at this point. There were a few people around but then we were worried because they were wearing clothes that that they were watching the beach and that we might be approached to cover up. It is vandalism, a very sad thing to do to a group of people who are quiet and keep to themselves

Very true - we have to be brave sometimes! There were a few naturists on the beach a bit further up . I did get cut off by the tide & had to do a bit of wading & climbing to get back! Lovely place though! Keep up the good work!
